The videos I've seen of AI have impressed me more than any other sim that I remember trying, since GP4.

On my first GP4 race on that I remember catching a car and thinking of lining up a pass, only for the AI to pre-empt me and cover the inside line. My jaw dropped, I couldn't believe it. I loved it

If the AI's defensive driving is on par with GP4's I would be very happy running races with AI. Can anyone in the know comment on what they think of the AI's defensive driving? Do they defend their positions with a 'tough but fair' attitude?

@DG_Silva hear anything regarding the pit crews as stated above?

Sorry, nothing yet. I believe they want to get the pit crews working for all cars first before they implement it. It's gone fairly quiet on that front because they were preparing for launch and D1P. Any info we get, we'll let you know (NDAs excluding, of course).

Evo magazine have done a quick preview.....

.....they make a point about the feeling of speed being off (which a Point of View change should) but overall its very, very positive in particular regarding physics.

  • ".......as the braking physics is almost bang on....." (about an R18 from someone who has driven an R18)
  • ".....Project Cars has probably the best handling model on next-gen consoles at the moment, which means for serious sim-fans it's going to be a treat."
  • "AI performed well, sticking to a line but offering up plenty of good racing when you pushed for an overtake. Crucially, never did the game feel remotely unfair or unrealistic."
  • "What we really can't complain about with Project Cars is the sheer amount of content on offer. There is a vast number of tracks and cars to enjoy, ranging all the way from the likes of a BAC Mono or BMW M1, up to a proper full on Le Mans LMP1 car."

Audi R18 e-tron quattro is ready?

From what I've found out, the e-tron's not even finished, let alone in-game. Where is this all coming from?

Would something like this help?

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for.
This is an app created by the community, isn't it? Checked the homepage yesterday and saw a few of those additional programs there.
As I am playing on computer, I guess I am going to get some of those applcations. Still a bit disappointing that a sim like Project CARS, which is offering a huge amount of options and details regarding car setup, doesn't provide any telemetry data in-game IMO.

Dr justice created it and it's extremely good.

sense of speed a big let down . its what i was looking forward to most and the physics of coarse .its a pity because both shift games had good sense of speed hope its a little faster then gt6 though .
FoV settings will likely remedy a poor sense of speed. I wouldn't worry about that.
