Yes, imagine the words 'arcade' and 'simulation' didn't exist, you need to describe the issues in comparison to the real world only. That's the only feedback that really helps, just calling it arcade is pointless and helps nobody.

Arcade and floaty.. not true, that's pretty much a fact.

Although I can somewhat agree with the 'connectiveness' thingy, FFB does need some work, which it will have, when it makes more sense.

About that "heat thing": nobody would ever notice if it's really in the game or not. But well, seems like posting something that's not like "UH WOAH BEST GAME EVUUURR LOL" isn't deemed to be acceptable in this thread, I'm sorry.

I'm actually disappointed you've decided to go that route considering I've never seen a problem involving you up until now. 👎

  • - Asano LM11 replaced with 3 SMS Le Mans Prototypes.
    - Asano X4 replaced with SMS Equivalent. Bodywork change only
    - BMW F1-08 replaced by BMW M3 GT4
    - Shelby GT500 replaced by Ford mustang Boss 302R

I can't take you seriously (about knowing anything about racing sims) if you don't think how the tire heats and how it effects handling and the life of the tire, etc. would NEVER be noticed.

It means that the R18 will be replaced by one of the winners of the LMP design contest currently ongoing at WMD (one of the entries is actually based on the R18 model but modified so much you wont notice even when they stand next to each other). Then there will be two more LMP design contest winners in the game, at least one of them will be a LMP2. And they might pursue the license for another LMP1... or not. :D

With the Asano DTM, it will be heavily modified, so that it wont look like an Audi anymore.

And the other two were swaps based on community feedback... Including yours truly, I gave them quite a hard time for choosing a single 2008 F1 car, which was a pointless decision imho without any competition, even if its a cool car.

Licensing is still licensing, not easy not fast.

Well I'm not against fictional cars, in fact I like them as long as they looks cool and racey. They give a nice "what if" scenario.
SMS could go down that route even for a GT1 car to puts against the Zonda R. (Check Ridge Racer 7 for inspirations)
They could also try some strange stuff like a sort of tank car, a 6 wheels formula 1 inspired by Tyrell, a 3 wheeler's inspired by Morgan and maybe a truck, like Reiza studios :) Without licensing immagination can go wild!

Well, if they would have the possibility to get the license, there would be no reason to change the visuals of the cars, you know... Really the saddest news so far, Audi has been my favorite motorsports brand since watching DTM 1991 as a kid. :indiff:

On the positive side, at least 5 of those WMD member designed LMPs look absolutely great, the R18 based one being one of them. And 2 more have the potential to be great in the end with some changes. And thats not even counting my own entry, which will of course rule supreme over absolutely everything! :D
 
I m at 2D sketches still because of huge workload for real life job and advanced lazyness in leisure time. But there are 6 others who have 3D models already, which I will do too, if I can find the time/energy.

Edit: But oh well, here you have my 3rd best sketch as a teaser:
