Project CARS GTP Wishlist

Fair enough, I just couldn't see it. But, as I said, the choice is great, but there is too much, and not really in fitting.
It's now sorted into classes. Some cars are gone that didn't fit but I've kept mostmost

Formula b isn't far off the gp2/ renault 3.5
we are getting a v8 super car at some point as well

Seeing as pcars has the renault licence, I wouldn't mind seeing the twizy. It would make for fun one make races.

-For classic Le Mans I would like to see the mazda 787b, jag Xjr-9 and Peugeot 905.

-Early 2000's style v10 formula A

-classic dtm - alfa 155 and Opel calibra

-road car - alfa 33 stradale (couldn't resist) and mercedes 300 slr coupe

I would love to see the Tarmac pikes peak and the 208 t16

How could anybody resist it? It's a scientific fact that it's the prettiest car ever, after all... :D

I bet Jeremy Clarkson would claim that Project CARS isn't a true racing simulator until it's got an Alfa Romeo in it.

Personally, if he would have said it... I would totally agree. It's really a painful sight to ship this game without an Alfa in it. Alfa is at the heart of motorsports after all. :)

I would not mind the following mix of cars for a Alfa Romeo license:

alfa_romeo_mixed_7.jpg

I don't exactly adore Alfa Romeo as expected of a card-carrying enthusiast, but I would pay for a DLC pack of the contents of that image. :)

When driving Italian cars they just grow on you. They all drive really nice and the smokey exhaust note is just great.
One might say that these Italian cars have too much issues, but it's also those issues that make you bond with the car. Rather than it being just a piece of metal in front of your house, it's a thing that can get issues a much a humans can get a cold.

For example in the beginning January my antenna snapped off after 16 years due to metal fatigue. Just last week I had to replace the thermostate because it stayed open, causing the engine coolant to circulate through the radiator all the time. This meant the car doesn't heat up fast, and even if it reaches 88 degrees Celcius at standstill it would cool down to 70 degrees Celcius when you'd drive.
This means that the engine ECU would put the engine in a cold start mode with a more richer fuel mix. But more annoyingly in this cold winter weather... the cabin wouldn't even heat up properly.

My dad's 15 year old Alfa Romeo 156 had a clogged drainage pipe of the factory installed sunroof. Which meant that the interior got wet, and also he had a broken light bulb.

So yeah, Italian cars keep you busy but they also cause you to strangely bond with your car. You either love them or hate them, but I do like them. Not only their quirks, but also how they drive, sound and look.

Sorry... /rant :embarrassed:

I have to agree whole-heartedly with this 👍
I'd only add to it:
Bentley Continental GT3
Lamborghini Gallardo GT3

The Bentley is already in the works for the game and will be DLC. 👍

Would love to see the Lamborghini as well.

People shouldn't forget that project cars is not a GranTurismo 2.0! Actually this two sims, in terms of drive, are the opposite of each other. Granturismo is very street race driven, a 100% Japanese Skyline/Supra groove with access to some racing tracks, most of them original and raceable in both directions!!!. You can tell by the huge difference in numbers of the street models when compared to the race models and the game's offers in terms of street racing, drag racing and drifting. Plus, when you separate the race models into categories or if you want to organize an untuned event in a close pp range, most of the times you will realize that you have very few options for field diversity.
Project cars is absolutely the opposite. 99.9% true FIA racing feeling, LMS's, GT3's, Touring cars at its best with a very few street cars and all of wich high powered models. No Mazda Carol or Subaru 360 here.
This game is truly for the guy or girl that really wants to feel the true spirit of international racing as long Nascar is not included in your fantasies so if you're an oval lover, street race, drag race or drift maniac, you should stick with granturismo because project cars is not your game... at all.

There will be more "Stock Car" in pCARS than any non-NASCAR, non-iRacing game on the market.
There are plans for 6 Ovals and a field of the "Caper" cars.

Most of the lists I see are for racing cars within a series. Curious to know what prompted this response.

You're saying something that I had no clue about but makes sense. I personally don't like oval racing of any kind or form but I understand it's importance and need of being included in any sim that wishes to have market success because, after all, "it's an American thing" right?

NASCAR Oval racing is an American thing. Not my thing, but folks here do love it. I prefer corners, both left and right.
I think with the "Caper" cars there will be an element of V8 Supercars mixed with the NASCAR feel. I hope so, anyway.

I find this puzzling because I happen to enjoy cruising, drifting, touge racing, and highway battling as much as circuit racing, and PCARS promises to be a better game for those things than either Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport. Gran Turismo's car list isn't worth anything without decent physics, Forza Motorsport isn't worth anything period if they don't include more tracks (especially ones that aren't so dull), and both games lack relatively basic features (which fans have asked about for years) and PCARS's attention to detail. PCARS even includes two public road courses that lend themselves to those activities I enjoy, whenever I grow bored of lapping circuits.

It serves no purpose for you (or the other exclusionists who hang out in this subforum) to tell me this game "isn't for me." :odd:

I don't wish to serve any purpose for you my friend. I'm only posting my thoughts about PCARS that you might agree or not.
I know PCARS will have some cruising/road racing features as well as some road cars exactly for that, to allow people to take a break from the circuits and suspension tunings but, and this fact is undeniable, it's a sim that breaths circuit racing from head to toes.
You can even put Granturismo/Project cars in this prespective, Slightly Mad Studios, the maker of pcars is from England, motherland of car racing, of Lotus or McLaren, Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart. Poliphony Digital, the maker of GT is from Japan, the land of street racing and drifting.;)

Ps. I'm not an exclusionist, I will always love granturismo, a game that I've been playing since the first one 15 years ago. The only thing that changes is that now there's 2 sims that fits better my likings, pcars and i-racing.

It's all good, I'm just sick of people around here banging on about what PCARS isn't, especially in a wishlist thread. It can be anything anyone wants it to be, with what's available. And wishing won't harm anything.
