The FGT is.Are they in GT4?![]()
We have contacted almost every car manufacturer listed in the beta car list. BMW, McLaren and Ford licences were acquired almost a year ago because they were all given us by the same company (sometimes, when it comes to licencing, you're talking not to the real car manufacturers but with different companies)
Nissan,Toyota and Renault will give us a licence for free.
Companies such as Lamborghini and Ferrari are harder to talk with, they're not answering fast and they don't have their "hq's" in Russia to make thjs process a little more clear but still, lamborghini is interested in this project.
The thing that pissed me the most is when he ripped one of the model of McLaren my friend made from scratch..
Then he made a 3d render out of it, compared it to our Realtime render in-game and said heroically
"THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD DO".
And posted the biased comparison on my own thead
You can check it out, it's still available![]()
Well that's disappointing. I thought this is going to be a great indie effort for a racing game, but the licensing issue is too obvious to ignore (how the hell did I miss it earlier).
It's probably best for FerrariGT to 'fess up. Starting your own business with a lie is always a bad idea. I'm sure your skills could be utilised just as well in a smaller scope game with fictional cars. Copyright and lawyer stuff is really not to be messed with.
I'll keep an eye on this thread for further developments *grabs popcorn*
