The DualSense and the haptics are so good on PS5, if PMR makes good use of those, properly, then that would be fantastic.
I actually think it is the most 'next gen' element of the PS5. I absolutely love it when games utilise it, Cyberpunk in particular is outstanding with the recoil and trigger feel of different weapons being unique and the resistance on the brakes with Gran Turismo and WRC.
I think the biggest issue Michel was having in that controller demonstration was with the brakes, I think it's pretty accepted (I think) that ABS is pretty much essential on gamepads in sims, particularly with the Toyota and Porsche, a lot of his control losses were coming from locking up into corners. Perhaps the sensitivity may have been a touch too high but to my eye it looks a lot better than how PC2 handles, and I've got that installed and currently playing it on a pad and whilst it's playable, it isn't as good as it could be. PC3 is a lot of fun but makes too many sacrifices elsewhere.
This is the thing for me too, whilst controller feedback has gotten better over the years, it still doesn't give the feeling that steering wheels do at the limit of traction. Using chase cam for me conveys that little bit of missing feel.
