The throttle control alone on the haptics should mean it’s an improvement on pc2

The DualSense and the haptics are so good on PS5, if PMR makes good use of those, properly, then that would be fantastic.

I actually think it is the most 'next gen' element of the PS5. I absolutely love it when games utilise it, Cyberpunk in particular is outstanding with the recoil and trigger feel of different weapons being unique and the resistance on the brakes with Gran Turismo and WRC.

I think the biggest issue Michel was having in that controller demonstration was with the brakes, I think it's pretty accepted (I think) that ABS is pretty much essential on gamepads in sims, particularly with the Toyota and Porsche, a lot of his control losses were coming from locking up into corners. Perhaps the sensitivity may have been a touch too high but to my eye it looks a lot better than how PC2 handles, and I've got that installed and currently playing it on a pad and whilst it's playable, it isn't as good as it could be. PC3 is a lot of fun but makes too many sacrifices elsewhere.

Same, but mostly because i want to see the car...

This is the thing for me too, whilst controller feedback has gotten better over the years, it still doesn't give the feeling that steering wheels do at the limit of traction. Using chase cam for me conveys that little bit of missing feel.

I think it'll be more a case of being able to access to editor files on the Mod Hub (can't remember the actual name) on the website and then doing the edits and uploading it to the central mod platform and downloading it in game via the mod menu accessible on the console versions.

For Farming Simulator you go here and download the Editor or Studio or whatever you need and go from there, presumably PMR will be the same.

100% there will be, same with FS25 on PC, there's official and unofficial resources. Consoles will only have access to Official published mods via ModHub.

I imagine the text file based championships and career editing should be pretty straight forward to get approved as long as there aren't any licensing issues with series names, driver names, team names etc.

Looks good, I think ABS on for most controller users will help with the braking and such but looks pretty nice on pad.

You've become so much more knowledgeable since they made you a mod... ;)

Personally, I've been playing the daily rivals on PC3 recently and it's soooo nice to be able to just get in the car and drive every day. I know its more realistic to spend time tweaking the car before every race, but if I am only racing for 5/10 minutes I prefer not to spend more time than that just to get the car round the first corner...

Clearly I just spend too much time here and on Discord 😅.

I agree with you on PC3 though, for all it's flaws Vs no.2 and flaws in the marketing, it scratches an itch few other games can sometimes.

The terms fascist and nazi get thrown around so much these days they’ve lost all meaning.

Again. Ogonoski is an out and proud neo-Nazi and Bell is supportive of having his views on his development team, going so far as to sponsor his racing and shield him from “persecution” over his beliefs personally. And supposedly everyone who works at the studio who has knowledge of this is ok with collaborating with these two.

People can separate the art from the artist and get the game for all I care, and I’ll be playing it eventually once I can get the game without supporting the developers, but let’s call it what it actually is and don’t put a reductionist spin on it.

Is this the same old song again? Are all your contributions to this thread going to be the same? I think I speak for everyone when I say you can create another thread if you want to discuss the topic and leave this one clean for those of us who care about the game.

I’ve been a member of this forum for over 15 years, and I’d like to think this is a worthwhile community to be a part of, so, in the interest of contributing to the community, I’m going to give those who won't let the whole Ian and Austin thing go, a piece of advice.

If you live life, analyzing every action of yours as if it could be the catalyst, the domino that kicks off the Rube Goldberg-machine of events, that leads to a global catastrophe, or dystopian future, that’s unhealthy. No human being can carry than kind of responsibility on their shoulders without breaking down, eventually. Certainly not on a regular basis.

I’m not here to tell you to buy the game or not to buy it. That’s your money, you do what you want with it. What I am here to tell you is that the success, or failure, of this game, is not likely to be what a new world order is riding on.

Being completely apathetic to what’s going on around the world is not good way to live, but getting to a point where you start seeing people who are buying a racing sim as potential extremist sympathizers, is also not a good way to live, and it’s a sign that you need to take a step back and stop overthinking.

In short, don’t bury your head in the sand and pretend nothing’s happening, but also don’t go around making mountains out of molehills. If you avoid both of these, you’ll be alert to take action when it really can make a difference, but you also won’t let the fear, of what could be, consume you and take away basic joys from your life.

Hope that sincerely helps.

Why would they release anything like that?
Tyre temperarute doesn't change, and basically everything about this video is so artificial, AI... Just terrible.
Feel free to delete this comment, but i have no idea...

Maybe they'll grab people on consoles that wouldn't touch a game that's more of a simulator than Gran Turismo/Forza/insert everything else that's not a PC car game.

I was quite distracted by something I thought I saw, kept an eye on it and didn't see it again, then rewound to where I thought I saw it...

... and yes, the track is reflected in the underside of the bonnet (hood) at 1:01, but as far as I can tell at no other time.

You don't see the polygons and sharp unrealistic movements, worse graphics?
This is nothing like what we've seen from their earlier videos.
Especially from the Sim Racing Expo last month.

As you've not quoted anyone it's difficult to know whether this is addressed generally (for some reason) or to one of the two different people that made replies since your last post (only one of whom quoted you).

Personally, I noticed lots of things. That thing I posted was one that I was distracted by and had to check if it was real. Which it was.

Please stop allowing the political sewage. The handful of crazies have plenty of other political forums to visit.

Once it starts and is allowed it will proliferate through this site quickly.

Please stop ALLOWING this behavior.

There is a place for everything. Formula 1 races are not run in school zones. Football matches do not take place in churches... etc

If it doesn't break the AUP, there's no reason to stop it. If people have concerns about buying the game for whatever reason - and we're not going to pretend that the behaviour and statements of key development personnel are not valid concerns for people - I can't think how it serves anyone to censor these reasons.

You can always exercise the Ignore button if you don't want to see people making these comments, and report anything that you think breaks the AUP. And if you don't want to partake in that aspect of the discussion, then don't.

Quite surprising and disappointing that you enable these views.

Can you see a part of the AUP that "these views" (which comprise "guy said a thing I don't like so I won't buy the game") break?

Either way, I refer you to my second paragraph again - and you are now helping the discussion that you don't want to be here to continue by discussing the reasons for it not being forbidden here...

I don't care much for what the developers do privately and it wouldn't hold me back from buying the game.

But trying to ban/cancel the worries? Even if they are a bit frequent and don't help the thread much in my opinion. I find that a bit weird at least.

In the trailer they just released it looks to be always there

The more I see footage of the game the more I feel a little overwhelmed by the HUD. It’s useful information of course but it’s quite dense and doesn’t always contrast well with the scene behind it.

Hopefully everything from it is replicable in UDP on console so that I can make my own HUD for my dash.

I'm turning HUD off on a new TV (C4), after my old one (LG C8) got burn in from GT7 rev limiter.

Somehow, it is more fun without in sim racers.

I'm not seeing a whole lot wrong with it personally.

It looks decent, sense of speed and movement is very good, audio is very good, I think the AI looked a lot better than it has done in Expo videos, the Aston Martin behind the player car uses some different lines to look for a way past, the Acura does brake at some odd times, but we don't know the difficulty level being used here so I'm not too worried about that yet.

It looks alright , although little bit muddy / washed out - maybe its the settings who knows
I think this, along with the tyre temp being on the colder side, is maybe indicative of the track/season being on the colder side? It has a distinctly wintry, dull look to it and if things like true2track, tyre temps and how the physics all interact are as good as claimed then the colder track plus a car with more weight over the rear axle than the front will naturally run colder front tyre temps. Season and weather may also contribute to the duller look? Videos in sunny conditions on Lime Rock and Mid Ohio haven't looked as dull as this one.

Still, I agree with some I am seeing saying it kind of looks like a more polished Project CARS 2, I can see where they're coming from with that. To me that kind of tracks with my view on this raw footage in terms of comparison in that I feel it looks a bit like AMS2 which I have been getting into recently. Which I guess is ultimately a more polished Project CARS. As @05XR8 says as well, this latest video will likely appeal to more casual players/console players who are currently playing the likes of GT7, FM etc, showcasing that it will be completely playable on a gamepad.

Rumour has it we're getting more gameplay at lunchtime.

Interesting to see Coca-Cola sponsorship in the latest video, then again all the other mega brands are right there too . . .

If anyone really wanted to upset them, surely The Stig on the front page of The Mirror beside Austin's peado car would do the trick, maybe after a tip-off to authorities to check out his hard drives and ISP history. I'm sure the article could find a way to link in Epstein and the game developer in his little black book since it's topical. Can't imagine any brands would continue their partnerships then though. Maybe someone at say, a company who he tried his best to bring down before they released an acclaimed title? Or just anyone on the left, hear we're working wonders at cancel culture, going all the way to the credit card companies to keep other marketplaces in check. Maybe they'll try for free publicity themselves if there's no such thing as bad publicity. Suppose Bell could always drop him, certainly not hearing his voice in these more recent videos.

The claims about RT had me squinting at the trailer, but reflections (of self-reflections in the mirror) are definitely noticeable on the side of our own cars. Although it feels like all of the other cars should 'shine' like that, but guess it's not the Forza Motorsport trailer which never really turned out like they claimed in the game itself.

GTA V for me does RT really well on console, despite the age of the main game gfx, looks tremendous. Project Cars 2 still looks good to me, comparing to Motorsport and ACC, just a little jaggy here and there.
