I’m wondering how will mods work on PS5 since with other games Sony does not allow external assets? Does not affect racing games. Be interested to see how this works when it comes out. I think it’s great to bring modding to console.

Regarding the cap of 15 AI on console. Remember that the PS5 Pro shares the same CPU as the base PS5 so there no advantage that the PS5 Pro has over the base unit regarding the AI cap. Its not a rasterisation limitation that's preventing the AI cap from being increased its the CPU. S4 will say that the physics simulation is too taxing on console to increase the cap beyond 15 but will we actually feel that on the track? Im not entirely sure that running the physics sim on all 16 entities is actually worth losing half the grid.

There's been a few games now with mod support on Playstation, still needs to go through the Giants/S4 approval which I'm sure will have some stipulations to help it on console but there's no restriction from Sony. If it's on Modhub, you can use it.

Also, for anyone curious on where the physics sit, GamerMuscle has done a very good video on where he feels the game sits Vs other Sims, and it's very positive.

So just finished downloading the 1 year version on base ps5 and got a timer, can’t open. I hope LogiRich can give settings for RS50…

Some great videos to watch above here and on social media these last few days. I think I am going to spend the first few days with just the MX-5 Cup races, testing all the tracks and all settings before starting the career with the MX-5. The more I see the more I think I will enjoy this game, especially the Mod Hub options. I got gifted the PS5 Disc from a relative so waiting in post for this. So I cancelled the digital version which luckily I hadn't started to download and will probably end up with the full PC version later on next year until I set it all up.

I am glad to see the PS controller is very flexible on settings and works well with haptic feedback. Graphics, FPS and physics wise, very happy with what I have seen on PS5. I am sure the PC will catch up and over take quickly after seeing Austin's video it looked fantastic.

How do you all think the reviews of the game will go from the big media outlets this week?

I just read that the game comes out on the 28th physically and the 25th digitally. Thank goodness I pre-ordered the digital version a month ago. I don't understand why there's a difference in release dates.
Where did you read that?

It's definitely 25th for digital and physical. No alternative release dates have ever been mentioned or shown.

It'll just be some retailers being slower to deliver. Amazon UK have had theirs set at the 26th (Wednesday) for a while.

Here in spain, all online stores have the 28th as their release date.

Have done all of these, except the Lambo hypercar.

The hypercar class has some funky issues with the handling, to say the least.

Yeah I heard about the hypercars being too broken to drive such a shame too since they are one of the newest car classes out with some great variety. While the game looks and sounds fun to some degrees, it definitely needs some polish in many areas. Appreciate the uploads though I watched quite a few on your channel

A while ago they said that the Hypercars was the last class they needed to fix & balance. They were definitely working on it, so I'd wait for the update tomorrow and see if it's improved things.

One of the FDP drivers on Discord did some Hypercar vids yesterday and they didn't look as broken as the Lime Rock video from the other day.

Not long to wait now.

16 cars in a single player race is very disappointing. GT7 has 20. Maybe that will change with time

Yikes. That’s basically killed all my interest in even getting the game used. You can do better multi-class races in GT7.

People even complain about how small GT Sport and GT7’s grids are at 20, and they’ve been out for years.

This isn’t the PS3 anymore. 16 in a game with multiclass racing is really poor optimization.

Probably has to do with the shipping time, because all editions release simultaneously.

It's really strange because I've pre-ordered games from MediaMarkt and they always had the official release date and arrived on the day of release. For example, Battlefield 6, which I pre-ordered recently. I've checked Amazon Italy and Germany and they have the 25th listed as the release date. I don't understand what's happening in Spain.

I just saw the video that Super GT posted about the LMDh and it occurred me that this may be pad related and/or ps5 related. Iirc, Douginator was using Moza which is not supported on ps5 so he uses an adapter. Maybe the game still thinks he is using a pad? Would this make sense at all?

Heiikki360es (a Spanish streamer) is using a Fanatec wheel on PC and is reporting the same problem (around minute 14)

The Super GT one is interesting, it's the only piece of PMR content I've seen him post since the embargo lifted, no context, settings or anything. Can't take too much from it currently until he gives a bit more context to it.

It's been so mixed with the LMDh, some videos have been absolutely fine and look good, some have been absolutely atrocious.

I think it's good someone like Super GT is raising awareness to something if feels unintended, knowing full well he will be on the spotlight. If people with huge following raise the issues, it increases the chance of them being looked into and eventually solved if it is indeed an issue.

I felt kinda stupified to see people criticising him and saying why is he using a pad. The vast majority of people on consoles use pads. That's the entry gate. We should actually be grateful that he is trying to raise the devs awareness.

It's definitely better than gulping what Ian Bell, or any other dev for that matter, says when they want to praise their own game.

The key word being if there. If it is an issue or sure is a good way to get eyes on it. I said this on the Discord but without context it's a bit disingenuous. Perhaps it'll be part of a deep dive he's done in the game but at the moment it's hard to say.

The people criticising him for using a pad are just, yeah, this is a game aimed at a wide market and there will be a LOT of controller users, also, didn't SuperGt mind of make his name in the sim content world on a pad?

I think so. So if he can't do the last corner of Interlagos with TC on, I trust there's something weird going on.

I would think he is also reviewing the game.
