Ok, i know that it has been discussed, and i am well aware of the search button, but could someone just narrow it down, and directly tell me how much the ps3 is going to cost? Im sure you all have a good idea by now, and i really dont feel like having to search through this thread and read a bunch of useless information to find my answer...thanks..

Oblivion is meh after 60hours of game play. Though I'm still somhow in the beginning... O_o
I'm not a fan of knight on a horse. especialy star wuss... Knight with light saber & a space ship.... >_>
 
Xbox 360 exclusive, PS3 snubbed rumor squashed
First, here's a quick recap on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Resident Evil 5 drama that's been going on of late.

At the Tokyo Game Show, the much-talked about Resident Evil 5 failed to make an appearance. This sparked whispers that the reason for RE5 being hidden was that a secret deal was being worked out which would give Xbox 360 exclusivity to the title. When the game was first announced, it had been announced for both consoles.

When asked about the rumor, Xbox Japan boss Takashi Sensui, fed the flames by stating "All I can say is we are very good friends with Mr Inafune [the game's producer]." That's far from a denial.

Now we've finally got a flat-out denial, courtesy of Next Generation. PlayStation 3 is definitely getting RE 5. "Just to be clear, this is a multiplayer simultaneous launch on PS3 and Xbox 360," said a Capcom spokesman.

End of story.

I haven't been playing Resident Evil since they put most of them on the GC. Also Fatal Frame is scarier & Silent Hill have the style. I hope they'll put plenty of zombies like they did in Dead Rising too move up the stuff.
 
i saw the video too, I think because it's a test unit, so the "skin" was changed to allow people to see through, the retail version will come with solid black I think.

BTW, saw an interview on IGN, this part makes me feel kinda funny:sly:

IGN : Does the Xbox 360 have the internal bandwidth between CPUs and graphics processors necessary to move a full 1080p image? There's a big difference between 1080i and the 3GB/s of 1080p.

Heh heh, and Microsoft says they didn't rush the 360. Yeah, right.
 
I dont know if this is new news or not but the 20GB PS3 will now have a HDMI port and will have a price reduction hopefuly meaning the retailer set price for the 60GB will come down abit aswell.

I agree thats the xbox 360 was rushed, they just wanted to get it out before Sony now you have to buy (if you want it for movies) the stupid ulgy HD-DVD add on box which makes the whole setup now look odd..... PLUS it still doesnt have HDMI, and now both PS3's have the port!

Oh and I have another question...... will all the PS3's be made in China or will some be made in Japan because all over the web there are mixed answers...
 
Try and convince Sony to sell the PS3 over here for less, I bet we dont see any sign of a price drop here in Blighty.

The XBOX 360 was rushed as hell. The piece are good, but some part were badly weld. That's the cause of the broken 360 in most cases. It won't happen with the PS3, due to the new rules for production.

They won't, the demand is pretty high in Europe & America. You can always jump for the 20GB version. Personally, I really don't see the use of a 60GB. The only thing I do ss stocking demos. There's no music in the hard drive, due that it is streamed from my PC. Video don't take that much space, unless you are willing to wait to download the whole stuff.

Somehow, I'm kinda confused... You guys want HDMI, want 1080P & the 60GB. But do you guys really need it? I mean do you really have all the accessory ready to run all this? Do you spend most of your time watching movies?

Oblivion on consoles are just plain horrible without mod compatability. Honestly =/

PS3 is open to all user created mods, its up to the develper to apply it. Unreal Tournament 2007 has been mentioned last year to support user created content for PS3.

I went to bestbuy today, they had a big board with a picture of the PS3 on it, empty space also ready for PS3 booth(s). I also overheard from guys working there talking about where to put PS3 games. Ladies and gentlement, the PS3 is getting closer than ever.:)

September 29, 2006 - Sony has taken another major step on its path towards releasing the PlayStation 3, with the Akiba Keizan Shimbun newspaper reporting today that at least one major Tokyo retailer has taken delivery of the first PlayStation 3 demo kiosk. At this rate, the system may actually make it out on schedule!

Accoridng to the paper, the multi-story Yodobashi Camera outlet in Tokyo's Akihabara district now has an actual PlayStation 3 unit on display. A monitor above the system shows trailers for games like Afrika, Genji, Heavenly Sword and The Eye of Judgment.

The system is strictly hands-off at this point, but the newspaper reports that customers were stopping to take a look before heading to the register to purchase Pokemon Diamond & Pearl for the DS.

Well, Yes! aswell as being an avid Sony and Playstation fan the 2 other reasons for wanting the premium version are..... Firstly I think it looks better than the core system because of the added chrome and secondly I want all the features so hopefully the console will last me well into the future, at the moment there is loads that it offers that I dont need, but im sure one day I will want it!

:lol: I love the way the little sign above says no filming, no touching and no taking pictures! The demo unit setup looks pretty sweet... I was waiting to see how sony would do it as MS did it on like a white stand with Samsung Monitors.....But Im sure the playable stand will look different!

Why is this important? Well my boss also happens to be one of THE biggest "PS3" hater's I've ever met, lol, the guy is cool as all hell, but he certainly doesn't like the PS3. That is...until he called me today.

I don't know what he's played, or what it was, because he couldn't tell me, but he told me today he's buying a PS3. So, maybe if I can squeeze it out of him I'll post it up, lol, but that just made me gigL.
