My PS3 HDMI port has loosened up and now has delamitation of the centre contact wafer. Is this a big deal to get repaired?? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mustangxr.
Yes, the port is done and I hooked up to the other weird port tonight and uploaded all my game data to PS Plus and to a memory stick also. Taking this unit in tomorrow for send-away service and or replacement. Luckily, I opted for the extended warranty when I bought this unit almost (but not quite) two years ago, so it is covered. I just didn't want to lose all my cars and credits if they replace the motherboard and HD. My two entities have over 200 cars and 100,000,000.00 credits between them. Also, my GT 5 cars too. Hopefully these backups will work!!If it's not causing issues, I wouldn't bother getting it fixed. If you're losing video feed then yeah you should probably look into getting a replacement PS3 or, if you're desperate to keep your current unit, repaired.
