Still trying to decide. Got more friends on PS3, but chat, and supposedly (from a few reports) graphics looking better on the box.

Any suggestions?

Which platform do you own a better wheel on?
New racing buddies can always be made imo.

I have a Fanatec GT2, so same wheel for both systems. Its already hard to find mature, clean, fun racers, at least for me :).

PS3 purely for the fact there is more, on this forum at least, racers with ps3 only.:)

I'm on 360 with a gt2 as well.

Started my career with Williams and got pole at Melbourne on medium difficulty and all assists off but medium TC.

loved f1 2010 but this game is on a whole new level in every aspect. Graphics and sounds A+

Last years game had a better look and more stable frame rate on Xbox.

Can't say for this years version.
Xbox live is generally more stable too.
For me at least.

Ya know I probably will.
Owning a GT2 and G27 I prefer the logitech for this title.

While most games perform better on the Xbox - codemasters game tend to be more leveled across platforms... dont know if it is because the EGO engine was made by them and Sony but it seems they are the only ones to pull it off...

Might sound stupid but I really, really love my 360 and play almost everything on it - except racing games. Might be because I have a DFGT but I really disliked every racing game I played on the 360 before, so PS3 it is. Could be caused due to associating a PlayStation with good racing games like WipeOut, GT1 etc. :D

I'm surprised, it's very ugly on ps3. Better than last year but.. The problem is that I don't have any friends on the box yet.

Yeah, I am probably going to grab it for the XBox, I watch some vids. While its not a huge dufference all reports are smoother on XBox.

Feel free to add me Shark. My gamertag is same as my PSN.

It really depends on how you like to play the game. The PS3 has better wheel support at the moment. So, if you like playing with a wheel you have more choices with the PS3. (Logitech G25/27, Fanatec-everything and now Thrustmaster TS500)
Fanatec makes about the ONLY good wheel for the BOX. However, you should know that Fanatec is releasing their ubber wheel in December that trumps all their previous wheels and it's only for PS3 and PC.
Which version of the game looks best? That's easy...the PC, but who wants to slap a $4000 dollar rig together for just one game to get nicer DX11 textures:scared:
I'm sure in the coming days we'll see screen shot after screen shot between the BOX and the PS3, but really...do we have to nit pic screens to say that one shader looks better than the other?
Whatever you pick, do it for the wheel support because this version makes using a wheel almost a must. :sly:

Well as I said in a previous post when someone asked about the wheel (I think post 3), I am using the Fanatec GT2, and am very pleased with it. And not to sound rude, but I was asking specifically about XBox vs PS3, and not the PC.

No harm in nitpicking, over framerate, slowdown, tearing, and general eye candy...I mean if you have the option why not go with the best looking one.

Hence my reply. I am 3 races in on my career and I can't stop. Haha

The gt2 is getting its work cut out, and I have a ps3 as well but decided to get it on xbox and have no complaints.

New Question

PS3 or PC. I like the, for lack of a better word, "completeness" of PSN, but does PC have better graphics and such?

PC has better GFX, way better. However, the PC version has game lobbies etc. as well afaik, through the "Games for Windows" network, which is somehow connected to XBL as well (achievement-wise).

Get it for xbox!

Today my brother and I each got a copy, him for the xbox and me for the ps3. My ps3 version has a lot of jaggies and slower frame rate than the xbox. I watched the xbox one and it runs smoother, and the visuals are slightly better as well, sadly.

I'm just simply amazed that between the Box and the PS3 they can't make them down right the same in terms of FPS and visuals. Simply amazed. I wonder if Microsoft supports their 3rd party developers better. GT5 has hardly any FPS issues, you'd think they share their secrets. LOL

No offence but the tracks aren't looking that good in GT5, to be frank. Especially the surroundings. :D

Ok:tup: The ps3 version is unacceptable so I will try the other one.

Generally with multiplatform titles the XBOX 360 version will be better, because the PS3 is more complex/weird to develop for.

But go with whichever version you will have more friends to race with on.
