I'm just simply amazed that between the Box and the PS3 they can't make them down right the same in terms of FPS and visuals. Simply amazed. I wonder if Microsoft supports their 3rd party developers better. GT5 has hardly any FPS issues, you'd think they share their secrets. LOL

Are you guys playing on a 12" tv or something? All of teamVVV's videos are of the PS3 version and they look fine, and the screenshots of the ps3 version look better than the xbox version.

Can someone who has both Dirt 3 and F2 2011 on PS3 say how they compare? The visuals in dirt 3 were amazing in my opinion.

I just ordered my ps3 version of f1 2011 and I'm sick of hearing all this negativity without seeing any proof

just played the ps3 version on ps3 slim at a friend, my copy for ps3 is in dispatch on amazon. uk i bought the ps3 copy and i don't ahve the 360 or a pc that can run the game so i'm not trolling.

the game graphics and framerate are just crap. the frame rate is something so bad, my god.. i can't even describe it, it even has micro freezes out of the pits.

i will get the game soon and try on my fat ps3, maybe is just the slim because even fifa 11 and f1 2010 were freezing on slim.

Alan has stated that the PS version is choppy.
Not having the SC in his version also means he hasn't the full retail version either.

All reports seem to show a superior Xbox version. Rather like last year.

And the screenshots comparison, whats with that? The xbox version is all washed out with no colour and no detail.

It's irrelevant to me how it performs on the xbox as I will never buy one. But I can't imagine that CM would release it on the ps3 if its as bad as these people make out.

Dirt 3 (which I seem to refer to a lot) has stuttering etc when I think about it but its minor and It doesn't bother me at all. So if it's only minor issues like that who cares it's not a big deal.

Show me one screenshot or video that shows that the PS3 version is so terrible its unplayable. Not directing this at you but anyone who feels its so bad.

And yes I am sure that it's the PS3 version, the guy at CM said his videos are and in one of his videos the connect to the PSN shows up but he can't connect because that feature isn't enabled

Screenshots won't show you anything of the framerate. I was playing with the PS3 version for an hour (on a 106cm plasma with a phat 80GB PS3), and I decided to change it for xbox version. I don't know if it will be better, but it can't be worse I'm also sure that I'll have less lags or connection problems on MS live network comparing to PSN..
Will tell you soon if I see any difference between the 2 versions.

(A little bit offtopic, but is there anybody who know what ports do I have to open on my router for the xbox and the F1 2011? thx in advice)

It's not easy choice i know but graphics is not everything. If the game does not crash, freeze and has a good video frame rate then i would take ps3.

Wide choice of wheels and despite last night psn down 👎 a pretty good on-line player base. 👍

I know graphics is not everything, but there's a limit beyond which you just can't bear it. This is a sort of F1 Automodellista with awful frame rate, and those two guys, Andy Gray and the other, geez, they perfectly knew what they were going to sell to PS3 users... What a pair o crooks!!!

Yeah I love Dirt 3 but it could have been so much more If it was a rally based game instead of including so many different disciplines.

But compared to WRC 2010 and by the looks of it WRC 2 it's the best rally game available.

But back on topic has anyone seen any videos of the ps3 version having frame rate dramas? The only stuttering I have seen and it was on an xbox version was as the car leaves the garage when you push "drive out" and It was pretty minor

i think it was something you can live with it, i tried the game and what can i say is that VVV is too polite. frame rate is just crap and so si antialiasing.

I'm just giving you infos, i already bought the game so i'm already ****ed, i mean guys ps3 version sucks. maybe also 360 sucks but i don't know, i can give oyu just my feddback about ps3.

PC version is fine, I'm using a HD5870 and a i7-950 both overclocked a bit (high end pc from one year ago) and game is running at 59-60 fps on personalize setup, high on everything, 8 x MSAA no problem at all. Really smooth. I couldnt take the ultra settings tho, because it was dropping at 34 fps at some points on Monaco.

It really depends on how you like to play the game. The PS3 has better wheel support at the moment. So, if you like playing with a wheel you have more choices with the PS3. (Logitech G25/27, Fanatec-everything and now Thrustmaster TS500)
Fanatec makes about the ONLY good wheel for the BOX. However, you should know that Fanatec is releasing their ubber wheel in December that trumps all their previous wheels and it's only for PS3 and PC.
Which version of the game looks best? That's easy...the PC, but who wants to slap a $4000 dollar rig together for just one game to get nicer DX11 textures
I'm sure in the coming days we'll see screen shot after screen shot between the BOX and the PS3, but really...do we have to nit pic screens to say that one shader looks better than the other?
Whatever you pick, do it for the wheel support because this version makes using a wheel almost a must.

Well glad that I purchased the XBox version. Still wrapped and on my desk, because I wasnt 100% sure that I wanted to go that route, until I heard a bit more. It doesnt surprise me though. Looking back at a few games, Dirt3 looked better on the Xbox, Shift 2 runs better and looks better as well, and so did Red Dead.

I am bummed it always seems to turn out like that. But oh well. Maybe one day they can take advantage of the hardware and make it run/look better on the PS3.

2. I agree Dirt3 was a huge letdown. One of my disappointments of the year as well. You cant call 1:30seconds or lower a "rally" stage. Dont get me started on Gaykhana.

I have both now and I must say xbox won by knockout. The graphic differences are huge I couldn't believe my eyes, it's nice. And the frame rate seems good so far.

Some people will not accept facts if they dont have the game/console that is clearly a better product. Why do you think there are so many people that refuse to try a different game other than GT5? They dont want to see another game that can actually do better, so they close their eyes and deny.
