Freaking Awful races for me, 2 times crashed into leading to bad races, 2 landmines and second one costed me 4th place in race 3 LAST FRIGGING LAP...

I'm getting progressively more and more landmines each week and i start to fear i won't be in condition not to go on :(

In any case here are standings:

Tomorro race highlights. There's some really good stuff in them too.
 
Not a particularly good day at the office. An uncharacteristic error in race 1 causing damage to @azidahaka resulting in heavily damaged steering and aero, forcing a pit stop. Hit off in race 2 by @Finnva, luckily causing no damage (to me anyway) but leaving me facing the wrong way and in last. Then nearly threw away 4th place in race 3 due to a mistake into the last chicane. Roll on Brno, Dubai, Snetterton, Imola.







Also, I think we need to work on the rolling starts some. Whoever is leading is usually going around too slowly for most of the lap. It should be single file a few car lengths apart at a reasonable speed until the last few corners. At that point side by side, ideally odds on the left and evens on the right so there's a close, grid like getaway. At the moment the gaps between cars at the rolling starts are huge.

I only ran race 2, didn't get any practice all week first laps of the race where my actual practice, no set up ment no grip at the rear, but its was nice racing all in all. Will try to be more prepared for next race... had a good feeling for race 3 but due to restart i got a bug and that was it.

The issue may got to do with internet-connection. It seems yours are not the strongest. Ask a driver with strong internet to host. Then you'll more likely avoid overloading net and lagging. It just might be a lagging issue. Correct?

Another (wild) shot, but maybe a re-install can desarm? Most people don't experience any trouble, indicating the bug is not in the game in generel.

Landmines are a well known and unresolved issue in this game, sadly. Internet connection is completely unrelated for at times they trigger even offline...

Not much can be done when a car warp stops in front of you, however the 3 times you hit me with the 3rd time ending my race 3 could have been avoided, if you out brake yourself and run deep into a corner you don't just dart straight back on to the racing line and T-bone a car in that's going through in to the barrier. Not cool.

Karsten aswell, if you want to swing out wide before taking a corner please make sure there is not a car along side you first.

A very disappointing race night indeed.

I have the recording of the race, i'm 99% sure i didn't move on the line and my wheel was straight. I'll re-check and post. I was about to complain you turned into me... In any case i got the short straw out of the two of us having had severed suspension damage.

Yeah, you defo need another look as I was on a straight shot m8.
 
When we are all complaining I can bring this up as well, can all please mute your mic's when driving? All talking is really loud in my system and I have kids sleeping here, if they wake up my race is over and it is very enjoying to hear people talk when you are trying to focus

Do what I do Cobra, mute everyone except Karsten, even though he has the loudest mic on the planet.

I did not hit you.i have had spun going in to chickane and stoped in midle of track and you hit me.nothing i could do as i was just passanger . There was few contact betwen us in race 3 but i would call it racing accidents.to hiting someone on formation lap is much worst i would say.there was a car at front of me breaking hard so i did brake to.will send a replay later .

Glen is one of the cleanest drivers i know and have had the pleasure of racing with. I'm sure he would never hit you with intent. So please leave this now

I'm not saying he did or he isn't clean driver as i know he is.I just thought he should say sorry at least cos hiting someone on formation lap is pretty poor.

Race1

Race 1 was more or less done soon, Storm+no rear aero means bad stuff :D

Race2

Race 2 had a mini landmine at 3:28- 3:40 (take a look @Webschumi) was done after i collided with @Glenalz81 , at the end of the video. I watched it lots of time, and really it doesn't seem a thing to work over it. I didn't move the wheel to widen and i kept my diagonal line, also i had the bump while i was already turning in to the left. Can be clearly see if you put the video to 0.25 speed... Also from the little i can understand my rear right collided with your front left?

Rain doesn't help much racing, but you could have hold your horse for 2 extra corners, sure i could have evaluated better the space, but we are talking about what? 5cms? 10cms? And in that turn there's no way to make it without the car widening.

Obviously if you have replay from your view i'm eager to watch it and show it to @Riggy and @rcb929 for a stewarding decisions.

Race 3 was the one i wished to redeem my super-s****y race day, and it was actually ok and i climber up to a refreshing 4th place until on turn 1 or last lap i got a landmine as you can see at the 4:04 min i linked to (again for wolwo's understanding of the situation lol). So i finished 5th.

Probably one of the most dreaded race weekends i had in months/years, with these results and landmines getting more and more frequent i'm certainly less than eager to race and train for next week...

I just think you have done nothing wrong at all.you kept your racing line and it seems like you have been hit into back
 
Funny, if you watch the track map going round the previous corner you can CLEARLY see I come right along side karsten (green circle) and I run along the out side and up the white line approaching the next turn and as Karsten moves diagonally across the track HIS car collides with mine. 6m10sec onwards.


edit, just because you didn't move your wheel doesn't mean you're not to to blame, you let you car drive straight to a part of the track where there was a car.

Drop rounds are usually a good idea, gives people some flexibility. So i'm ok with that.
 
Get rid of the whole starting last in R1 thing after three goes, and just remove the bonus points. Having to start from last because of it is somewhat unfair.

Thumbs up for the drop score though.
