The HSV loterry is opt-in. The invitation PM's are going out tonight, those that want the HSV must reply to the invitation PM with interest.

My thoughts on the specs are posted on the PURE forum. I think the HSV should be run at 517hp/1100kg/601pp @ 35/60 aero. Not sure if this would affect anyone's decision to enter the lottery if these specs were chosen, so thought I'd throw it out there.

Since we can't police exactly how the limited aero is distributed and the fact that it's a slight slight slight advantage to be able to play with it, we want to test @ a total of 90 DF points.
If we find the car too loose, we'll allow more DF.

Either way, the specs posted are as close to final as can be.
It's only the allowed DF level of the HSV left to sort. And it'll just be tweaks in the region of 1 PP, so nothing big.
 
Hmm for me that slightly changes things :p. HSV may suck for me now.. But I do like a loose car sometimes..

That's right. Remember you can distribute your front and rear downforce as you wish.
 
HSV: Not allowed to exceed 600 PP. Other than that, DF can be distributed freely.

Last night, I saw the difference between GATE and JGTS. It's about 1.3 seconds per lap. Whilst testing at Fuji F, Josh (GATE champion) ran 1:37.1, then along came Aderrrm who ran 1:35.8. Looks like it's practice time.

Okay, though I am new to REAL circuit racing, I can tell you even I dont cut corners like that. I could possibly hit the apex in a way that could be called cutting, though even that for a millisecond, but driving like that is outrageous! And shouldn't text speak be against the AUP?

Also, I wanted to inform you that I won't be making the first race, maybe the second as well, as I am in Finland 21st to 28th October, and my ship there leaves 30 minutes before race time. I don't know when I arrive home on the 28th though, so I could make it, I could not make it. I hope this doesn't cause any problems.

Quick side note, what is GATE? Could any of you give me a link where I could read about it?
