I had some plans on using a truck topper for a trailer topper. Decided a tear drop build will look and function better, but they have their uses in cheap diy camper/storage solutions.

I suspect facing it the right way would catch a bit more air, perhaps to the point that there's a marked difference in fuel economy. It looks incredibly tacky, but I get it, and it looks like it was affixed reasonably well with a sturdy foundation and functional supports.

But there's no defense for that Taurus.

I was going to write something like, if it was done better it might be pretty cool, like the Veyron Civic that's floating around the internet. On further thought, nothing could make that look good.

Here's another little Focus, courtesy of BarryBoys. Ugly is made worse by the sticker on the rear glass. I mean really, that's just looking for trouble.
