I should know more about it since I work for CBA but for some reason we haven't been told a whole lot about it. On second thoughts it probably won't work as you need a credit card to purchase a prepaid card. But I guess if you know someone with a credit card that you can give the cash to they can get you one.
I am pretty sure ANZ or Westpac does them as well. I was looking at them for my kids last year before our bank offered them.
The altenative is a visa or mastercard debit card. Pretty much all the banks offer them now but most banks you need to be 18 to have one.
