He does say the secret location is in the UK so I doubt it would be the Nurburgring :sly:.

He does also say about racing against people online and maybe getting beaten by hundreds of people but I think only 6 get to compete against him so he is either letting something on or is not aware of the full details.
 
Did anyone on here get lucky and get picked?

Looks like another competition is going live soon. Maybe it gives the people who did not get picked a chance to also race David Coulthard, maybe Time Trial Event to qualify for racing him live online or something like that.

Hopefully there will be nobody else on track with DC, because he'd crash into them for sure (based on the last couple of years of his F1 Career, bwahaha).
 
Just had a woman ring me up to say that I've won a place on the Mercedes GT5 competition day thing with David Coulthard! Anyone else had a call?

I have been sellected as one of the 24 finalists to be in this event at brooklands on the 5th of september. i have just recieved the call and am shaking a little bit.

Anyway I wish I had the chance to compete in it. However luckily my brother got the call just now so I will be able to go as guest 👍 and meet David Coulthard and other stars. So excited. Will try and get some footage for GTPlanet.

Funny thing is like everything related to GT5, the confirmation email and phone call were two days late. You would have thought they would have edited this part considering they just sent the email now :sly:

One small issue with this is i cant practice as my ps3 got YLOD yesterday morning so i am going to go out and buy a new one tomorrow.
 
Yes just had the call and spent the last ten mins jumping round the kitchen like a mad man.

Hi, There's London too but they wouldn't use that would they? Too bad we don't have Silverstone. "Brooklands" was a race track, near London, back in the '40's and it was banked like Daytona if that's any help. Congratulations, burn rubber.

As it goes i actually live down the road from mercedes benz world where it is being held. The banked section of the old brooklands track is next to where we will be and it is beyond repair and has been totally cut off from the road you can however happily walk up and down it all day. The ONLY useable track is TGTT. I went out and bought a new PS3 this morning and will be grinding in practice mode in an SLS with comfort soft tires for the next week......
