Sorry, but I couldn't enter in the end as I have a stupid Business Studies project to do. Grrr. I will try and do the next round, but if I can't, then I will try and do the next one after that. You get the idea.

No no no, what it is, is a small shortcut that you put in this thread's first post. It will point to where the first week ended and the second set of guidelines begin. Otherwise confused members will wonder if they should be racing a 50's or 70's car this week. As the weeks go on, it could get even more confusing and discourage future members from competing altogether.

So, let's do an example so you fully see what I'm saying.


In the first post, after your name "Fangio", go down another two or three lines.

Link To Week One (These "Links" are inactive.)
Link To Week Two
Link To...etc.

Where those weekly guidelines are at, you copy the shortcut from the post number, at the top right corner of that post. Then to code it into the first post, call it Week One, highlight it and then click the hyperlink button, paste the URL (make sure it doesn't go "http:http://" when it pastes..) and then save the edit. Should work fine and make future members happier. :D Any other questions, PM me. :)

I am indeed impressed by your selections of steeds this week, you seem to have caught on to this auld sot! Some great times.
Please be patient with me as my lack of technical expertise makes for a tedious posting problem. Good Squire Corey has been most patient, but I am most thick in matters of a technical nature!
I will always post the winners and the challenge for the week in this thread until I get over my density.
Again you gentleman are amongst the best, and this weeks results(posted later this day) will bear this out!

An absolutely amazing set of times this week Good Sirs! You have caught on nicely to this formula, and have posted times accordingly. Without further adieu:
I chose the 1970 Superbird this week and Squire BobK nailed it with the same car! Only .84 seconds in penaltys he is this rounds winner!
Second place goes to Sir Jetboys with only 1.609 seconds in penalty time. Unfortunately an injury may cause him to withdraw. We wish him a speedy recovery! Lukeallen makes it to the podium again this week with a total of 6.074 in penalty time. For a rookie he is showing quite well! Watch your mirrors gentleman, this young upstart is schooling a few of you! And finally to round out the top 4, Sir Jordan with 16.551 seconds in penaltys scores his first point! Don Jose And Sir Sege I'm afraid your penaltys put you out of this weeks contention, but there is plenty of time left!
You all are indeed to be thanked for taking the time to participate. I am honored to be associated with such a stellar group of gentleman.

My next post will include standings and week 3 challenge. Tally Ho! The game is afoot!

Great job all of you, it is anybody's game, so stick with it.
This week a little twist.
First, vehicle selection:No newer than 1980, stock HP, no greater than 400hp/ all mods acceptable.
Now the twist; You will receive T1, T2, T10,and T11, no total! The only clue you will receive is this: The top speed of my vehicle this week on the ring was 144 mph!

As you can see this weeks splits are a good deal faster than the last. Pace yourself. Oh and one other thing, at some point I had a slight mishap while driving. I did not leave the track, but I did bobble a bit! Just a monkey wrench to spice it up a bit! Good Luck Oh Ye Of Great Talent. Tally Ho!

depending on if my G25 wheel arrives before the deadline, I may enter this as well, I always sorta resented the ring in gt4, because I always seemed to slide everywhere, but I have a car picked out already, so even if it arrives on friday's eve, I will be sure to enter a time to you. I think this may be the hardest one yet, a quick itme, yet a dobble, and a top speed of a mere 144mph, this surely is tricky,

Good Squire Louke,
In the interest of simplicity, and to keep from taxing my limited grey matter, the penaltys work this way. If you come in under any of my times, I penalize you the time difference for each individual T time. So if you beat my T5 time by 1.5 seconds, that is the penalty. If you beat my T7 time by .25 seconds, that is the penalty. I add all the penaltys and then add it to your total time. There are no bonus points for coming in over my time as an offset. So the closest to my total time after all penaltys is the winner. In the event of a tie, the one who picks the same car as me for that week wins. I give some of the split times so you can pace your driving and to see how close you are.
Clear as mud! Hope that explains it.

In answer to your querey, the final time if under my time is also penalized. i could probably do more with offsetting the penaltys with over times, but to be quite honest, that would be a level of compilation that I'm afraid I am woe to be able to achieve.
My thoughts in starting this series was to reward consitency, and the ability to hit a target time rather than an all out speed contest. I am grateful that all have continued to participate, I am having a great deal of fun.

Try selecting a car, running it all out through the first 2 split times. If you are reasonably close to the times, the rest of the lap should be fine. My choice this week will be a hard one to match:sly: .

The hand will not keep me down. I refuse to give up. So I tried driving the other night. I'm not as smooth, what with this badass blister on my hand, bit most certainly I'm still every bit as quick. I'm not giving in. My obsession knows no bounds. ;)

To the gents that wondered what I drove last week, it was a bone stock '63 Vette. Tried the Superbird and found it too fast. :indiff: This week shall prove interesting, indeed. To quote our bequiled Leader, "The game is afoot!"

Great job handling that Mk III, BobK! I had a terrible run this week, I just couldn't get in the zone and nothing seemed to be working for me. If you guys don't take a lot of penalties, I may be down for the count! :nervous:
