General Motors never produced a 1983 Corvette for market sales and by doing this were never able to produce a special 30th anniversary edition as planned. However, a few pre-production prototypes were built for testing and later destroyed... except for one. That one sits in the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
