It's decent, but because it's been translated it fails in the rhyming department, so it gets a 6.75/10

You forgot to rate the greatness that is I Knew You Were Trouble, one of the few good T-Swift songs.

8/10. Its pretty good I like R & B but its getting played out its almost all the same :(.

5/10, great if used for background music but I find it drags a bit...

Here's my entry:

Quite good. The mix was good, no problems there. Was sort of just another rock song for me, no true standout features, but likable as a song. The solo was interesting, but still quite simple. 7.5/10.

There is nothing wrong with Metal, it's your preferred genre of music. Nobody is going to knock anyone for their taste, but seeing the same artist over and over and over again gets old ... fast. Glad to see you diversified into something different. 👍

Yep, agreed. Well, some people will knock another for their taste, but generally they aren't quite so developed in the brain department.

And time for another not metal song. Not for the sake of not posting metal, actually because I am starting to quite like this band.

Didn't really like it that much, nothing really happened in the song that grabbed me as it was a little predictable and stale. 6/10
Edit: Gave it another 2 points to make 6, better than other things I have rated here.

Don't take it the wrong the way though, I think it is better to say 'why' rather than 'Not to my taste, 4/10' for example or something else along those lines.

Twelve Thirty - The Mamas and the Papas

Has anyone else picked up on the fact that most people here seem to love metal and japanese music? I seem to find that with many gamers there's a love of metal music and Japanese manga music (don't know the term sorry) has its own big following too. Not complaining or anything, but it's remarkably different from what I know in the real world as opposed to an internet forum. I didn't really think there'd be much of a correlation between music taste and gaming but there you go.

I'm the one that posts pop music, Otaku post Japanese music, Slash posts IM all the time and others post just some random stuff.

There's more than one person per category. I've noticed that a lot of people who like games tend to really like the categories I mentioned. I know you post modern pop music but as you are the only one I didn't bother to mention it much like I am the only person I think who has posted the Beach Boys or The Beatles so far. It wasn't worth mentioning because we are both posting 'random stuff'.

That's because 99% of the time they are the first band to pop in my head.

Twelve Thirty - The Mamas and the Papas

6/10 - This is a bit of an uninteresting song. The chord progressions and harmonies feel repetitive for most of it, though there are some interesting parts. It definitely has a certain feel that can be nice to listen to, but I would probably skip this song if it came up on my ipod.

A little weird but it was OK 7/10

The chorus stood out but I thought the verses were quite forgettable. I wouldn't be able to identify it on the radio if I heard it, just sounds like a lot stuff on the radio nowadays to me.

 Pretty Creepy 4/10

0/10

That was just horrific. I can't even....just no.

6/10. Judas Priest is not bad just that song is not close to their best. I'm here to add Diversity. What about this? Its not bad. Slash will love it. lol

Yeah I agree it's not one of their best but it is from one of their finest albums.

As I didn't post a song and I replied to your comment I am not required to. But for the hell of it.

6.5/10

Was alright I suppose but still not what I would listen to or actively seek out.

Time for some Scorpions.

Took me a while to warm up to this song all those years ago but now I love it. That riff is nasty in the beginning.

Put a warning label. It said the N word.

And I rate it 0/10. It was so idiotic.

4.5/10

Not really my genre, again something where I only really like the instruments.

Instrumental songs are not bad, but this just has that sort of .... I should be doing this type of feel.

It's not horribly bad, but yet it really has no catch to it. The instruments are being played well in the posted song (it all fits together), but it's just not my kick.

3/10

Next up, changing gears a bit :

I'm not an active listener of Country, but that's still pretty good. I think a 7/10 is a fair score.

That was so 90's 7/10

Add Muse's Liquid State and Garbage's Not Your Kind of People to the list. Both were good songs that have been used to advertise major video game releases - Crysis 3 and Metal Gear Solid V respectively - and will now forever be known as the songs associated with those games, even though the themes of the game have nothing to do with the songs. All you have to do now is mention either song and some moron will almost certainly quote "They call me Prophet" or "From 'FOX', two phantoms were born" back to you.

That's not what the songs are about!

Take Liquid State as a perfect example of this. It's not a song about super-soliders fighting off an alien invasion. It's about alcoholism and hitting rock bottom. Likewise, Not Your Kind of People isn't about whatver the hell Hideo Kojima is trying to pass off this time; it's basically a case of "if you have to have (the appeal of it) it explained to you, then you're probably not going to understand it".

5/10 I'm not a dance music person.

0/10 there is no song, or at least, there is no functioning link

That is where you're wrong! :D

Since the person above me didn't post a song I'll post one.

I love this song.

Tadaa!

Another post confusion... Happens all the time in this thread.

Anyway, rating time for Roger the Horse's song.

That song really wasn't right for that voice. But other than that, with its interesting random bursts of noise, it was quite good. If I took a few listens I would probably like it. It was interesting and different. 8/10.

And now, time for some Coheed and Cambria.
