I don't like the effect on the guitar at all, that's what puts me off. The rest of the song was better once the vocals came to dominate but it still did little for me.
5/10

6.5/10

It seemed pretty plain and the vocals didn't really do anything for me. The paino work was nice however.

Wow, well, it's actually refreshing to hear his lower version compared to the overplayed radio song. Gives it an almost 80's new wave vibe. I just don't think I personally would listen to it for kicks. 6/10

6/10 The instrumentals are good, but I'm not a fan of the lyrics in general, let alone they fact that they almost sound like they were recorded with a 10 year old phone.

And now, a genre that's almost sure to get a low score, but I like it anyway:

8/10

Not huge country fan but the family listens to it so it's grown on me.

3/10
I just don't like metal.

Yes, I know it is 11 minutes long, but I couldn't just pick one of the individual movements to post.

Not bad, not great either. Don't think I'll be listening to this alot, 6.5/10

4/10

Not my type of music but it's better than a lot of the other similar stuff that's out there. I can give it that.

At least provide some kind of explanation instead of just rating it and moving on...I know I'm guilty of it but at least I try now.

6.5/10

I would have rated it higher but the vocals were extremely bland in the verses and it killed it for me.

I may have posted this before. Away from traditional heavy metal and more alternative/grunge style for this next one.

Not bad, but it is Bruce Dickinson .... a very talented singer. The vocals are typical Dickinson style, which is good. The drums / percussion is on the verge of being more or less a power type, but yet no overbearing, so that part is pretty good. The lead guitar sounds pretty good as well, there are some good riffs there. The part that lowers down the score for me on this one is the fact that the rhythm is waaaay to repetitious and a bit overbearing, it started getting old early in the song.

I'll split this one down the middle ..... 5/10

Next :

It's Stevie Nicks so that's an am immediate 8/10.

Song isn't my favorite though (never was) so I'll drop it to a 7.5/10.

This next one isn't all the famous. Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden (yeah I know) and a lead guitarist for them, this was one of his solo bands. This is the most known song from ASAP, called Silver and Gold. He is also on lead vocals.

Great album, even though some of it's country sounding (what? A heavy metal legend playing country?). It, while recorded in the '80s, uses elements of modern country...which is a bit funny.

Anyways this song doesn't incorporate that, but this is about as far away from Iron Maiden as you can get.

5/10

Just didn't affect me too much. Definitely has that 80's feel to it though.

I was gonna do a different song, but as I was deciding, I randomly started humming this, so I felt it was the best choice. It's good to bring up childhood memories every so often.

10/10 Purely because it's Thomas the Tank Engine. If I were talking musically I would call it a 5.5/10, as it just isn't all that interesting other than being related to Thomas the Tank Engine.

7/10 Interesting... I'm not much of a metal fan but the inclusion of an orchestra caught my ear. I don't think I would listen to it personally but I'll give it a higher mark for originality. Plus I googled Avantasia since I've never heard of the project before. Interesting concept.
