I bought this holster for my HK USP? Just to store the gun in. I'm not allowed to carry, and it's too big for that anyway.

This holster sucks. I tried wearing it just for fun? Fit for the gun is waaay too tight, though this model holster is especially designed for this particular pistol. I also don't like the fit, or the angle the holster itself either. :yuck: Safe to say that I'd end up shooting myself in the gut while trying to pull the thing out(seppuku by .45ACP).
Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to get my rifle which I brought to my gunsmith, I hope he didn't screw up the barrel shortening and sight installing -job. It feels like the return of a long lost son. :dopey:
I hope you don't freak out the gunsmith...... or maybe he knows you & are used to it. j/k:lol:

Damn @David, you are full of great advice. AGAIN.👍

It's actually a used holster, but if the fit doesn't loosen up in a few days, I will definitely try the wax paper trick. 👍

On the "(unloaded)" bit, maybe about a year ago, we had one guy on the local news who was a new hire armored transport? He was practicing draw with a loaded pistol, when he accidentally shot & killed his stepdaughter who happened to be playing outside the house in the yard. :banghead: Also, my coworker knew a kid who practiced draw with a loaded .22, and made a hole in his foot. He tried to say that he had an crossbow accident, then the truth came out.

If the guy was holstering smaller USP in it, that would indeed explain the tight fit. Had I purchased this holster to wear, I'd be 🤬.

Here are some more pictures of my Tavor, along with a PPQ spotting. The quality is still sub par, but I thought I would try out the Nexus 7 camera and see if it would do any better than my phone. Excuse my thumb in PPQ picture looking down the sights. I was covering the serial number on the rear of the frame.

Looks great man. 👍 I should start looking for new hand guard, but I've never even seen one made for Bushmaster .308. I looked once, came up empty. :( I still have the stock front sight, too & actually prefer to keep it(for now).

My original thought for this (this is my first AR by the way) was the 16" barrel without the FSB and a longer version of this rail. Then I saw a few pictures that made me stop hating the front sight and shifted the plan to make this one. It was damn near impossible to find this particular barrel. PK Firearms was the only place I could find it with the FSB. My friend happened to find it for me on arpartsfinder. Extremely useful site now that I know of it. Keeps track of what's in stock and when the last time it was in stock. Same for ammoseek.

Future plans are a BAD lever, some sort of provisions for a sling (probably Magpul parts), and, if I can ever justify the price, an EOTech.

I'm pretty sure from what I've read that Bushmaster's .308 rifles are "SR-25 patterned" (found the same to be true of my M&P10. There is no standardized AR-10 pattern like there is with the AR-15 but a lot of the major players seem to take parts for the SR-25). If you look around for things that are made to fit the SR-25 or DPMS LR-308 they should fit your gun.
I suspected that it may be similar in parts with the DPMS, but had never even heard of SR-25. I'll do little research when I'm looking next time. Thanks! 👍

This arpartsfinder site looks useful. 👍

I wanted EOTech, but since mine's a .308, I went with a scope instead. I kinda want a red dot again though. I'm never gonna shoot at anything long range anyway. :p

Great AR @Eric. Looks like a great all-rounder. You chose the right parts to buy from high quality manufacturers.

Obviously at some point you want to practice your draw and shoot with a loaded gun at the range, but at home, especially with a new holster that you can barely get the gun out of there's no reason to have it loaded, and definitely no reason to have a round chambered.

CONSTANT VIGILANCE. I CARRY IN THE SHOWER.

If you have Glocks, I hear they are completely plastic, so no rust!

Edit: We joke, but I do keep one gun loaded(currently two, transitioning from 1911 to USP), and anytime I handle it, it has my full attention. We do not want to be "that guy" who end up on the local news. Also, if you have kids in the house, safe storage is a must!

Don't be a 🤬 Bayonet stays on!
Not since the accident.

I appreciate the comments. Pretty in love with this rifle right now. Wanting the BAD lever isn't so much with failures in mind but just convenience. My friend has it on all of his and it seems so much more intuitive to release the bolt, and loads easier to lock the bolt back since you otherwise seem to need two left hands...

BAD Lever is a decent idea. It was originally made to assist in clearing double feed malfunctions (read: Locking the bolt to the rear). Some guns have issues with bolt lock back on empty due to the extra mass that must be rotated by the bolt catch. If it works for your gun, go for it.

My bolt wasn't locking back on empty when we were testing it. Opened it back up and the bolt catch felt a little notchy but cleared up by operating it a little bit. Should work now but haven't shot it since to know.

This thread needs more pics. Seriously. 👍 I do realize this page has few pics, but that's way above average!

He wants to restrict your right to legal firearms & even ammunition, but you bribe him & he will help you smuggle military grade weapons into the country. What a scum. All I can say is good job FBI. 👍

@David I had my USP in that De Santis holster for few days now & now it fits perfectly. Maybe it got flattened out in the shipping envelope something. Thanks anyway for all the great tips. 👍

I'm surprised that Yee would be done in for arms trafficking, but I'm not sure why. It seems like every gun control advocate is a hypocrite of outrageous proportions, sup Feinstein, hello Calderon.

Honestly, I can't wait to tell my anti-gun friends about this one. I will be smug squared.

Feinstein as always lived her life with a, "Do as I say, not as I do because I'm forcing you by act of law!" type attitude. Most liberals do.

Wants to ban guns, had a concealed carry permit.

Says that the NSA needs no oversight and is Constitutional, goes on a warpath when she finds out she's been spied on by the government.

Hilarious.

Anyways, back to the guns.
