Where was it?
Drivers list, select driver, and press the shiny new button there (right next to the one for sharing your driver online). 👍

And, what are those three dots by your driver icon supposed to mean?
They're an indication of how many XP/Creds this driver has at this time (confirmation needed).

On the PS3, go to your list of drivers and you will see the credits they have won and you click on the driver and then at the bottom of the driver stat window just next to share driver is a small button that says something like retrieve winnings or something like that.

Where was it?

Seems to be taking time for my PSN contacts to filter through to GT Home now... Anyway to kick-start a refresh of the friends list?

Also has anyone tried this over their iPhone/Blackberry? I just tried on my BB Torch and it got to the driver select before I ran out of battery... If I can use my phone and do this, Jesus my life's over!

Has anyone figured out yet if these races "age" your Bobs?

Mine is pretty close to his retirement age, so it seems quite relevant. :)

what i have found out so far is that "days" only count in your own personal account. the days dont tick over in your friends gamefile. thats good in the sense that i can run a bunch of races and my friends dont have to worry about missing out on cars in the UCD as the days dont pass the UCD doesnt change in their game. but it does in mine.

As for the dots. so dar i have only been able to get one dot to go yellow/gold the rest remain 'empty'. i have done a lot of races already, atleast 25 and accumulated over $50k and cashed it in but only one dot has ever been lit up for me. To me that means that for all three to be lit it takes ALOT of races and ALOT of accumulated cash.

i havent retired any of my bobs yet and three have begun to decline in speed and strength. he still kicks the butts of the younger bobs so, if it aint broke dont fix it mentality. the races and race wins should count towards each bob's statistics but im not sure ima check as soon as i can.

So while I wait for my friends list to update, I have some thoughts:

What happens if I want to race my Bob but he is being raced by someone else in remote racing? Do I have to use another Bob?

What about if my Bob beats your Bob in your selected race, do I get the money and XP still?

all bobs get money and XP for each race no matter the position and who's account is doing the remote race. just less XP and $ for lower placings, i find.

Yeah. Mine too. Hope it doesn't take too long.

I just found out about this.

Something weird in my head tells me that this is me receiving comeuppance for one of my remarks on the "You Know You Play Too Much GT5 When..." topic.

I said a series of remarks going something like "You play Pokemon and have one named after your Bob," then "You have a team made up of your PokeBobs," and finally "You use your PokeBob and wonder where the hell 'increase pace' and 'overtake' are in the moves set."

I just discovered something very, very interesting.

Racing online with other bobs, your bob's career bar will NOT progress. This means that you will be able to grind bobs indefinitely without having to replace them like it happens offline :D

I don't get the racing b spec with your friends to gain experience.

As my B spec drivers are like 30+ or whatever, for me is it not easier to just to set a 4 hour or 9 hour race going and they gain more experience that way?

How much experience do you get from doing this? i have no online friends doin b-spec, so please add me if you want. PSN: the_Greyham btw excited after hours and hours i have just now finished teh vettel challenge thanks to the update :)

rather big difference. Offline your bob will fill his "career" bar, aging and losing stats when it's full. Online looks like he doesn't age, allowing you to grind him up indefinitely.

So we need a solution for streaming video from the PS3 to Justin.TV or uStream.TV during remote races. That way we can watch the race remotely as well as track it.

Maybe an HDMI splitter on the PS3 - one output to feed the TV and one to feed a PC capture card which will encode and stream the video.

unfortunately PC cards that capture from HDMI and in full HD are pretty damn costly :(

technology is a beautiful thing:idea:. if they could have seen all this coming back in the eighties when they first made Rad-Racer for the NES....

OK - so from what I gather Bob doesn't level up, but will gain XP and $$ - but only small amounts: approx $5000/4000 xp from a race.

The host's PS3 needs to be on...does GT5 need to be booted up, or can you watch Netflix, etc?

I just don't see how this is a better way to grind than just kicking off an enduro race at bedtime or while at work?

Your driver does level up. Mine started at zero, and now he is over lvl 10 already. Its great way to grind while doing nothing.
