...which has the GSi engine :D
unless it's an eco-****e!

I thought the Cav SRi was the 130bhp 20NE lump with 8 less valves than the 20XE?
I used to have a Corsa B Sport 1.6. I loved that car. Wasnt particularly fast above 90mph, but acceleration was good, and mid range torque was a killer, could keep up with 106 GTi's/VTS's to about 85-90 from a rolling start off a slip road for example, then my car would run out of puff  I remember when someone couldnt lose me in their ST170 until 80mph  Now looking for a Barina GSi or a Commodore. Charged V6 would be nice. :)

Hi

All this Lotus Omega/Carlton talk made me think of a vid I saw some years ago, where some swedish cops try to follow the damn thing. I know it's an old video, and most people have perhaps already seen it, but for those that haven't it's a must see. The acceleration of the Omega is jawdroppingly brutal...

Here's the link, it's the third vid from above:

Happy driving all!

very funny ... the carlton disappear even the police trying to hit 200+km/h on public road

I had a drive of it in GT4 last night up against a Commodore SS ghost. I couldn't quite keep up with the Commodore, the potential was there but it was more difficult to drive and so I couldn't do it, but it was close. Thanks to everyone that explained the Opel/Commodore history, I swear my 90 model Commdore shares the same basic body as that Carlton, it looks really similar, although I think the Australian stock versions with 180-240hp suits them better than 380 ! because that Carlton is hard to hang onto in GT4 with N2 tires

I guess the Vauxhall Carlton shares many GM parts with the older Commodores. Perhaps even the same floorpan and parts of drivetrain. Who knows, hope someone could shed some light on this!

If someone can take pictures of some critical parts of the Carlton I can take pictures of the Commdores to compare them, even an engine bay picture to start with, to compare the strut towers and stuff

Commodore 1988-1990 VN engine bay (no the inlet manifold is not standard on that car: ) but the Engine block/heads are, that's the Holden V8 68'-97' R.I.P)

Just a quick note, Lotus fiddled with the front end to reduce drag and increase the aerodynamics. The front wings are different to a standard carlton, and the engine bay is slightly longer to accomodate the extra room needed for twin turbos.

I won't be using my GT3 save for quite a long time into GT4, I'd feel like I've cheated if I dide even though it's not a cheat I want to start the game like I did GT1 and GT2, with a crappy second hand Japanese car.

👍 I agree... want to play GT4 from scratch and work my way through to 100%. :dopey:

So far all the pictures I've seen of this car have been black... Can you get it in any other colors in the game? I'd love to see how it looked in silver, red, white, or blue.

In fact, it was only ever made in one colour, Imperial Green. It is considered sacraligious to have it resprayed, or replicas painted in any other colour. So it is not black in GT4, but Imperial Green.

Saw this car drifting in real life at a motor show!!! what a sight. It is a real beast and makes the most beautiful noise!!!

Didn't know that they were only made in imperial green. Have seen maybe 2 or 3 of these in my time and they have all been black.
