I like the analysis of the teams and drivers, and the pictures are superb. Good find.

But, is Kubica just that far behind Heidfeld in performance?

Kubica - Heidfeld is one of those comparisons I say "meh" to... Heidfeld's been in the F1 circuit for what...like 7 years or something? Kubica's only just finished his first full season, and I'll tell you, it was a damn good one! 👍

Yeah I think he was a bit too unlucky this season and he also had to adjust his driving style, will have to wait until next season

I still think that to call Alonso and Hamilton 'equal' overall is a bit unfair to both, though. Sakon Yamamoto was also given no chance against Adrian Sutil, as much as the Japanese driver was a scarce sight in F1 otherwise.

Not really.

Kubica was often towards the bottom of the Top 10 on the grid when Heidfeld took a 4th or a 5th. Kubica's race pace was alright, after all, he was in the team's best position to win a race, at China where he was fueled to the finish.

But, he wasn't the Kubica of '06. Mostly to blame is the tyres, yes, but they arn't gonna change. He's the one who needs to change or he'll continue to be beaten by Nick.

Well, each excel in an area that the other may forego, and they do not mention a whole lot of Alonso's experience in F1, when they point it out in other driver comparisons such as Heidfeld v. Kubica. Experience, or a slight lack of it, caused Lewis to lose the World Championship when he put the car into 'Launch' mode and lost 1m 30, when it helped Fernando contend for the title.

For instance, going back into the 'unique talents' bit, Alonso is greater consistently than Hamilton, but the Englishman is better at catching a distant field of other cars. So, Alonso is very cool and collected, while Hamilton will become very passionate behind the wheel. To compare such different skills and label them as equal seems a bit odd; wouldn't one team want one driver or the other for such traits?

There should have been at least something that points this out, even if they call them equal.
