Realizing now that I prefer one of three methods when it comes to team cars: 1)Completely identical save for minute details to tell them apart; 2)Completely different with little tying them together; or 3)Shared scheme with each using different pallets, or even just a different base color. I imagine this would be fine once the number was changed, but.... it just doesn't feel right. I'm a try something tomorrow or Friday night that I did in GRID 2 somewhat.

Still trying to figure out the damn paints on my side

Is there a database of paints people have uploaded already for these cars?

@DCybertron, sorry I meant to post last night showing the "extrabody" sheet that you need for the top of the front wheel arches, beneath the headlights and the camera pod in the second seat (effectively). Without it you will always have silver parts... You can disable the mirror parts as well if you want them to match the cars base colour.

I think I will be ready to launch my team by next Monday! Getting pretty bored with Photoshop now, but I'm also getting scarily good at guessing where lines on template ought to match up...

Finally. The AIW is finished. It works fine with a full 48 car field. No more car crashes entering the pits, in the pits, or exiting the pits. Did alot of work to touch up the racing line. Who thought having the AI drive on the shoulder was a good idea? Also added several TV style camera angles to the broadcast feed and deleted several unrealistic ones.

The final template for the spotter guide is complete. Im currently adding all finished paint schemes to it. If your paint scheme is finished, please mark it that way so I can add it to the spotter guide.

Also, Im going to begin work on the Intro video soon. If you have a finished car it will probably be in it.

@Earth. Good to hear. Thank you for putting in the work so we can all have fun.

Now I burden you with more work. Cleaning up the layers for the 79, I decided I'd like to see it without the outlines.

Thank you sir. I prefer the outlined version, so we'll go with that and I'll toss together the 85 and 58 quickly.

EDIT: The fleet is ready, and I think the 79 is the weaker of the three schemes. The red glass will apply to all three as well, and these are not absolute final, but the only changes will basically be decoration detailing, they are ready to race as is.

Aarror Autosport Le Mans Launch!

With the 24 Hours of Le Mans fast approaching, Aarror Autosport is proud to welcome Tequila Patron as the team's primary partner for it's three car prototype assault. "If nothing else, we're guaranteed the best after-party!" team principal Aarror told reporters. The team will campaign three Peugeot 908 HDI FAP prototypes, each carrying Patron logos.

Driver Lineups:

#33 (Orange):
G. Vincente (FR) -A Peugeot factory driver, Vincente is a multiple race winner in the ELMS. Born less than 30 minutes from La Sarthe, he will be looking to make an impression in his 3rd attempt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

A. Yoshida (JP) - A 45 year old veteran, Yoshida has raced everything from Formula Nippon and Super GT to WTCC and even a short stint in the Nascar Truck series. The Japanese driver is widely regarded as one of the best development drivers out there, despite lacking some of the pace he had in his youth.

J. Brown (USA) - Former IMSA Prototype lights champion, Brown is currently racing LMPC in the US. An up and coming driver, he will be looking to make a name for himself in his first go at La Sarthe.

#55 (Green)
A. Van der Linden (NED) -Aarror Autosport's first driver, Van der Linden has been with the team since it campaigned production cars in the Clubman Cup. A Formula Gran Turismo Champion, he adapted well to Formula B-Spec; scoring podiums but never standing on the top step. He'll be looking to break through at Le Mans.

M. Freeman (USA) - Rapid young American Freeman was a standout in GP3 last season, finishing 2nd in his rookie year. After failing to secure enough sponsorship to move up the open wheel ladder, he is looking to break into the sportscar scene with a good showing.

G. Moore (CAN) -Newly signed for Aarror Autosport's RACE GT Championship campaign, Moore is reigning Porsche Cup Canada champion. He joins the prototype team looking learn from his more experienced teamates.

B. Mortensen (DNK) -A former GP2 standout, Mortensen never got his break into Formula 1. He tested for Aarror Autosport in preparation for FBS season 3, and the team was so impressed they promptly signed him for Le Mans.

H. Muller (GER) -Carrera Cup Germany winner, Muller joins the team with the blessing of Porsche, who are looking to get him experience before a potential LMP1 campaign.

M. McRae (GBR) - British Rally champion, McRae quit the sport after an enormous crash while testing for a Skoda IRC drive. Returning to racing in the British GT Championship, he blitzed the field on debut at Brands Hatch. After winning races in LMP3 in the ELMS, he makes the jump to the prototype class for Le Mans.

Think I have missed the trailer shoot then! I may have designs finished by tonight but I doubt I would get unveiling finished before trailer went out?

I will try to get my cars done tonight/tomorrow. Worst case scenario is I might have to ask someone to do them for me if I can't find the time.
Now that I'm done my cars, I'd be happy to help if you need it. Its always more satisfying to do your own cars though IMO.

Oh god I just realized I have no idea how to set up a prototype. Shoulda chose a GT car.

Sorry I haven't sent mine, been busy with school and finals this week (ontop of also attending a graduation). I'll be getting those done soon now that school is over.

Ex FBS Champions Pezzarinho17 Announce Le Mans 24H Assault

16.jpg

At a surprise unveiling ceremony at Audi Sport’s HQ in Neuburg-Heinrichsheim, former Formula B Spec champions Pezzarinho17 announced that they will be racing 2 Audi R10 TDI’s on behalf of Audi Sport. Participation in the historic event is currently a one off occurrence, with no plans to enter into the WEC.

The teams had a further shock in store when Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’ was announced as title sponsor for the team's’ cars. Audi has sponsored a number of Marvel movies to date but this is the first time that they have featured Marvel on a race livery for Audi Sport. The liveries that will be used by the team were unveiled by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jnr. and will feature designs representing each of the superhero characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Captain America” and “Iron Man” respectively.

“We are very excited about this venture together with Pezzarinho17.” said Reinhold Joest at the event, “with their fantastic record in Formula B Spec, it will be difficult not to start as favourites. Endurance racing is a different field for them though, and the Le Mans 24 hours is not an easy race to begin that journey with. It will be exciting to watch though!”

Perry Brown, Pezzarinho17 team leader, added, “When you get a call from Audi about a possible entry into the Le Mans 24 hours, the heart rules the decision and the head quickly gets in line. There was never any doubt that we would take on this challenge from then on and the project has already seen this team pull together and get these magnificent machines race ready.

“One of the most exciting things from our perspective is the tie up with Marvel and promotion for ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Our design team has enjoyed the challenge and really come up with the goods here, the cars look fantastic. Our drivers have already said they will be gutted if any damage happens to these cars during the event!”

Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jnr. were greeted to huge cheers when they took to the stage, both making the appearance fresh from filming scenes from the movie. Chris Evans explained the ‘full-on lifestyle’ of a superhero.

“We didn’t get much of a break between promoting Age of Ultron across the world before filming for the next movie begins. It is one of the expectations when you work on a project as large as the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), it never stops. Today marks yet another first for Marvel, no one else can keep up, and we hope that is the story from Le Mans this year.”

“This is all very ‘me’, though I would have liked my face on the car some more, make it more Tony!” joked Robert Downey Jnr. “It’s great, we’ll be at the race in June with the team and I can’t wait. I was at the Monaco Grand Prix as part of the filming for ‘Iron Man 2’, but you’re working so you don’t get the experience of it all. We already have the bet on which of the 2 cars will win the race importantly.”

Both Pezzarinho17 and McLaren had remained quiet on expectations ahead of the new Formula B Spec season, though it is not yet known whether the partnership will continue after the Le Mans assault. Pezzarinho17 came runners up in season 2, with Stoffel Vandoorne recording 2 wins and 3 pole positions in his debut year. With Stoffel concentrating his efforts on a GP2 challenge, Nyck De Vries was expected to lead the FBS charge in the new season. No announcement was made on the drivers for the Le Mans challengers, but number 17 will carry the ‘Iron Man’ livery whilst ‘Captain America’s’ design will race with the number 23.
