You know, the GT1 cars are actually easier to drive on at the limmit, give it a shot!

I must be weird, I have an easier time with GT2/P2/P1s. I will continue trying/testing...we gotta race to test the real limits...pronto!

Man I wish we could get a GTP server up!

What happened to your server? We can do public...

I have lowered my laps 2'24", very twitchy the Ferrari is, I never feel comfortable. Yep, I suck in GT2 I guess.

Well I could never figure out how to open those ports on the router so I guess I gave up...
That is a pretty good time man! We need to get some practice with traffic under race conditions!

Personally I prefer the Aston to the Ferrari, it's much easier to drive on the limit.

My best times were 2'16 in the Aston and 2'25 in the Ferrari, both with the stock setup.

I agree, front engines have better weight distribution, more stable, predictable and forgiving. I am doing better with the Ferrari with a +1 rear wing, reducing the sudden loss of grip at the back. The Aston is GT1 however, if we will attempt the Spa 6 hour race we would have to chose, practice accordingly. Driver switching, pit strategy, etc.

Are we serious about any of this? I'd suggest we have races amongst ourselves a while, then tackle big races. Either way I'm game.

I am all for it! We need to do fuel/tire runs to have a better idea on how long and how many stints are we doing.

It looks interesting... I will read some more on it tonight when I get home! Hopefully we can get a server going trough them!

After watching the Senna movie earlier tonight I decided to fire up Rfactor to play some F1 1985 mod. It's been a long time since i've played it, I couldn't believe how hard it is to drive those cars in the mod, it took me a good hour before I had any feel for the car, I found it insane as to how easy it was to use too much throttle and spin the car, while at the same time you need to use the throttle in the turbo powerband in order to get the car to turn. So you're stuck between this tiny margin for error on the throttle in order to simply make it around the track.

Amazingly difficult, but equaly as rewarding when you do well, though I could never imagine racing the mod for a full length race, perhaps with some traction control (though it slows you down!) to ease the throttle control.

Highly recommended mod, takes some time to get used to mind.

I do the same, because of that i run 999999 times the F1 1988 mod (the last f1 turbocharged), try it! its like a kart with 1200 hp, i just try to wonder how Senna drive that with one hand:yuck:

Hi guys, not quite sure if I should ask this on this post and forum but I am quite frustrated by the hardware settings. I am using a laptop and G25 which supposedly work well to together with rFactor. However I later spent a lot of time and tried to get the steering wheel work right just like GT5, and it didn't turn out right.

I changed the steering wheel to 900 degrees as I'm a big fan of sport cars(Oversteer Mod & AE86 Club particularly), and each time Im over a bump or some slopes where one of the wheel would spin or likewise, the car just steers itself and totally I would just lose control of the car with no chance of correcting even I was not accelerating. The steering wheel just took the job itself. And it acts awkward as well, with the extra steering lock angle setting in the tuning menu of the car while on the track, it just nowhere as good as in GT5. I seriously like rFactor with that much of modification available but I just can't get over this problem, so I hope someone here would help me out please ?

my laptop runs rFactor at around 40~60FPS or above most of the time. Is it just the matter of should not be playing it on a laptop or am I just can't get used to rFactor?
