Oh, that's new to me, I never race NASCAR online in GT6 :) With RS tire, the races are short with no tire wear ? If there's interest I will post my setup, though it's barbaric in nature :P

The RS tires allow you to hold your line thru turns with an entry speed of 209>214mph, in draft, with suspension setups that will allow you to hit 209>211mph, solo, into turn three at Daytona. My aforementioned setup lets me hit 209 and hold yellow thru the entire turn. With anything less that RS tires, maintaining those two criteria would be almost impossible, and I wouldn't ever want to try it in a tight group of 6/7 cars 3 wide. When we run longer "pit" races, the rooms are set with "very fast" tire & fuel consumption. I look forward to seeing, and testing, your "barbaric" tune.:)

This is the suspension and LSD ( the transmission is very basic, no flip, so that would be useless, you can try with your own transmission )

Suspension
Front, Rear

Ride Height: 60 60
Spring Rate: 19.47 9.82
Dampers (Compression): 2 8
Dampers (Extension): 5 6 - optional front extension 4
Anti-Roll Bars: 7 1
Camber Angle: 3.0 3.0
Toe Angle: -0.09 -0.09

LSD
Initial Torque : 60
Acceleration Sensitivity: 60
Braking Sensitivity: 60

AERO
FRONT : 200 or 341 - any higher may cause instability.
REAR : 400

Gear Ratio ( Top speed set at 360kmh/223mph )
1st 3.200
2nd 1.870
3rd 1.300
4th 1.000

Final 3.400

Brake Balance 1/2, no oil change, no body rigidity, the bolded ones were locked when I tweaked the setup.

That's it, it's made for CS tire, so dampers were aimed to give best traction on comfort tires. BTW, the car is Aric Almirola Fusion #43

Notes :

A simple build, the Audi R8 4.2 was faster at Tsukuba than the big brother 5.2 as noted by the BM hosts, lapping at
1:03.8x against R8 5.2 V10 1:04.8x.

This build has handling balance tuned to reflect the review during 2010 Best Motoring Touge NSX-R vs MR cars test. There were various aspect reviewed from handling/steering, drift ability by Tsuchiya-san, while rear stability and comfort scored by Hattori-san.

NSX-R was pitted against Lotus Evora, Audi R8 4.2, Porsche Cayman S, Nissan GTR, and Gallardo 550-2 Valentino Balboni. The final verdict winner was Audi R8 4.2, Nissan GTR came second, NSX-R third, Evora fourth, Cayman S fifth, and Gallardo 550-2 last. The Audi R8 4.2 achieved perfect 10 score on both handling/steering and comfort, while drift and stability at 9. The Nissan GTR came second losing on the comfort with a score of 8. The Nissan GTR got perfect score on both steering/handling and stability.

The Evora was noted for it's comfort, and steering scoring 9 on both, but suffers in drift ability at 7 ( Tsuchiya-san compared it to NSX-R, noted some understeer and weight transfer not as effective as NSX ) and stability at 6. Hattori-san feels that the rear heavy bias of Evora makes the "critical envelope" when rear start to slide has to be carefully dealt with, he noted the Evora softer suspension, wheelbase and wide stance helping with stability. He also add that the car can be rotated easily by braking and the rear will follow. Hattori-san also noted the awkward positioning when driving, both feet are leaning to the left/center console ( the Evora is RHD )

This build comes with both sport and normal damper setup, normal is optional. Try normal first, see if you like it. While weight specs, I used 1635kg for curb, and Best Motoring Test Weight at 1660kg.

Tested at Deep Forest on CS tire, with 1635kg and Sport damper, capable of 1:25s, very fun grip or drift with exceptional balance.

And the Balboni tried to kill anyone who dared to drive it

The comparison between the R8s is exactly what I felt in GT6.
The V10 felt almost FR compared to how stable the V8 was :odd:

Both Tsuchiya-san and Hattori-san said the same thing : Scary  On a narrow road, without stability control ( ESP OFF ), there's very little margin of error. If you want to make certain people piss on their pants, drive this on touge road. Hattori-san didn't like the sharp throttle pedal curve, the strong shifting driveline shock, and he turned the ESP to Sport mode  Tsuchiya-san noted when he did time trial at Tsukuba, the car at times twitchy and nervous without ESP, but like the power :P He also tested both ESP OFF and ESP SPORT, he ended up faster with ESP SPORT by half a second dipping into mid 1:03s.

The V10 is more rear heavy than V8, suspension setup might influenced it as well. Drive the build, see how stable it is :) I'm curious to hear your impression.

I've read many different tests of the Balboni & they all say the same thing. It's a Lamborghini of old that scares the crap out of you because you never know when it's going to bite. The limit of adhesion is dancing with the devil.

I'm almost 100% certain I haven't played GT6 this year.
Two reasons really: incredibly time poor & a lack of desire for the game I'm affraid.

I played many other games this year, maybe about 10% time was spent on GT6 :) That time was more on just testing and tweaking stuff, I also drive mostly MR cars. Really like my Evora build now, almost like NSX-R, will see if the more power edition can beat NSX-R :P

Do you have any plans for future racing games ?

As you probably know, I've faithfully followed the GT franchise since the beginning - those days are over now.
Whatever I play in the future, it will be after thoroughly reading reviews and careful thought.

Notes :

I have always been a fan of Nissan Skyline and Paul Walker from his Fast and Furious movies.

This replica is dedicated to the late Paul Walker, a replication of his ride in Fast and Furious 4th installment.

For paint job, the Bay Side Blue from R34 premium Nur is not correct, to get the correct one, buy standard car R34 GTR '99 in Bay Side Blue, this has the correct/accurate shade. The paint chip will be listed above the premium Bay Side Blue, both has the same name in the paint shop.

The real car has extensive modification, with 543HP from custom turbo, intercooler, ECU, exhaust ( NISMO NE1 Weldina ) etc. The car also have some weight reduction, with rear seat delete and removal on unnecessary bits and pieces mainly behind the front seats. Custom roll cage has also be installed. NISMO Coilover also has been installed in the real car and lowered to improve handling.

I used NISMO R Tune Coilover Kit with 9k/8k spring rate, incorporating real life alignment ( camber and toe ). Damper has been tuned for road and track with neutral balance in mind.

The rest are stock ( LSD, Torque Split and Transmission ) as in in real life specs.

I tuned and tested this R34 on many tracks - Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone GP, Bathurst, Ascari, Nurburgring GP/F, Nordschleife, Apricot Hill, Willow Springs.

The R34 is very fun to drive on comfort soft, hope it will do the same to everyone :D
ENJOY

Some pictures from the car during early stage of building :

The real car :

UPDATE : Correction to camber and toe values

ANOTHER UPDATE : Added additional toe angle for even more rotation if desired.
Added notes about correct Bay Side Blue paint from R34 GTR '99 standard car.

The correct Bay Side Blue paint :

UPDATE May 2017 : Updated the damper, mainly front compression and extension to improve high/medium speed balance even base alignment toe. For even more rotation, use alternative lower toe.
Tested at Big Willow, able to go aggressive with throttle on uphill/downhill halfway of the track.

The Paul Walker R34 GTS has been updated, a simple damper changes to improve medium/high speed balance. Recommend to try the updated R34 at Big Willow, the uphill/downhill section of the track can now be driven more aggressively. The old alternative damper has been considered obsolete.

I also have R34 HKS Hipermax II GTR test car that has unique positive rake setup for aggressive time attack and touge run, it will demonstrate how rotation can be maintained even with the "ride height bug" and high lock LSD by employing proper damper/ARB tuning.

Also still have that Cadillac CTS-V on queue :grumpy: and Evora 410, this beast is now closer to NSX-R handling on CS tire  I might also include specific damper setup that can amplify the tendency to plow on gradual throttle at Big Willow for both Evora ( which has open diff ) and the 410 ( which now comes with Quaife Torsen )

UPDATE : Fixed the transmission setup, used 3.010 final with previous 2.880 final as alternative value.

UPDATE May 2017 : Revised weight/distribution, suspension spring/damper/ARB, and LSD.
Another update :) Tested at Tsukuba and Suzuka.

The next build I post will be another Ayrton Senna tribute, this time, a special version of NSX-R from past release pitted against Lotus Evora Sport 410, battle at Trial Mountain on CS tire :D Both are lapping in very close lap time.

Notes :
Special version based on previously released NSX-R build, this time I used the lightest weight spec, with dyno power and 40/60 weight distribution. The special tweak to the damper is aimed to battle the Lotus Evora Sport 410 at Trial Mountain track. On comfort soft tire, the NSX-R is able to go toe to toe with the lightened, souped up Evora with 410HP, able to lap comfortably in sub 1:40s time.

This version also tested at Suzuka 2014 and drives well there.

I will update later with the lap time/replay of the lap

Notes :

This BMW E92 M3 replica covers between 2007-2011 model years, with several lap record used as reference and 2 famous US magazine for weight data ( Road & Track + Car & Driver )

The E92 M3 has 420PS / 414HP, with weight figure that varies, of which some are provided in this replica. The base specs used the heaviest test weight from Road & Track, at 1747kg ( rounded up ) and a bit more than 52% weight at front. The base specs can replicate/beat all of real life lap times on CS tire.

Some of the specs only uses window weight reduction, while specs that uses weight reduction stage 1 do not use window weight reduction.

E92 M3 stock spring rate are too low ( Front: 160 lb/in Rear: 550 lb/in ), and not able to be reached in GT6, thus I used the spring ratio ( optimized based on spring test result for the rear spring - variable rate ) and aim the lowest front rate possible. I included the rear rate that reflect the ratio ( based on 550 lb/in ) : 11.55 kg/mm as optional.
The alignment uses BMW range with high front camber for track. There is also an optional suspension set with competition package ( ZCP ) ride height at 10mm lower than stock.

The gear ratios are corrected, with 2 options, 6 speed manual and 7 speed SMG/M-DCT/DKG adapted into 6 speed. The 7 speed uses only 1-5 ratio and 7th gear as 6th, the 6th gear value 1.200 from the real car is not used, so it's best to shift very late from 5th to 6th. The 7 speed used twin plate clutch in GT6, while 6 speed MT uses stock clutch.

LSD has been set with medium preload and lock rate that should give good traction on low speed to high speed corners.

I tuned and tested on variety of tracks, from Tsukuba, Laguna Seca, Nurburgring, to Fuji and Streets of Willow. All of these tracks have real life record set by BMW M3.

Tsukuba : 1:05.817 for 6MT and 1:05.698 for 7 Sp DKG
Laguna Seca : 1:42.964
Fuji Speedway F : 2:02.07
Streets of Willow : 1:27.67
Nurburgring GP F: 2:28.23 Autobild.de, M3 with Competition Package, 19 inch wheel, Adaptive Damper ( EDC ), 10mm lower, and 7 speed DKG
Nurburgring GP D : 1:44.86 - high possibility done on Pilot Cup tires and BMW provided car ( unlikely to be stock ) - replicated with SH tire.

And, here are the lap times in GT6 :

6MT, CS, Tsukuba 1:05.682

6MT, CS, Fuji Speedway F, 2:01.609

6MT, CS, Laguna Seca, 1:42.695

6MT, SH, Nurb GP/D, 1:44.633

6MT, CS, Nurb GP/F 2:27.449

7DKG/Competition Package, CS, Nurb GP/F 2:27.807 ( -10mm lower )

7DKG, Tsukuba, CS, 7sp, 1:05.430

All of the replay of the lap has been provided, enjoy the view and use them as ghost too :D

And a video feature of both Lexus IS-F and BMW E92 M3 review by Naoki Hattori at touge roads and track battle with M3 driven by Keiichi Tsuchiya battling it out with NISMO Z driven by Naoki Hattori.

UPDATE MAY 2017 : Added additional optional Damper/ARB/LSD, the package is softer overall with lower LSD preload, think of it as M-Normal mode, and the base suspension/LSD as M-Sport Mode.

The BMW M3 E92 has been updated with additional softer damper/ARB and lower preload LSD option :)

Notes :

A special build version of F40, this time I used the power spec from Best Motoring Super Battle dyno run and weight spec from US full tank weight, while Best Motoring Race weight is optional ( only 2kg lighter )

Suspension based on previously released build, with adjusted damper/ARB and zero toe all around. The ARB is lowered to minimum to provide highest possible cornering grip, while damper has been specifically set for the best balance of front grip vs rear and traction while accessible to wider range of drivers.

Gearing is based on US spec ratios, this gives pretty good acceleration and top speed on most tracks, the EU ratio is optional ( lower final gives higher top speed ), and the Auto Motorsport '89 review ratio also available.

Tested at various tracks :

Deep Forest 1:26s
Suzuka 2014 2:20s
Trial Mountain 1:38s
Brands Hatch GP 1:39s
Red Bull Ring 1:41s

All on CS tire, 523HP/1362kg, 38/62, US gear ratio. The Trial Mountain lap is comparable to the NSX-R Ayrton Senna Tribute recently released and the Lotus Evora Sport 410 on same CS tire. The F40 actually have a bit of hard time keeping up with the NSX-R on the first half of Trial Mountain

This version of F40 is the best I have built IMO, I gave the car unique character/balance and the 62% rear weight actually one of the best part about the car. With a little change in damper, the F40 can be dialed to understeer on gradual throttle application.

Driven the F40 above at London for a few laps, managed 58s, and I could see 57s ( CS tire ), this is comparable to Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren F1 replica on same CS tire. Really like the F40 now :D especially when drifting on skidpad like Gan-san did, and he loved it as it has great control in 2nd gear drift and turbo lag, what turbo lag  in cheeky joking way :D He compared it with NSX-R power delivery curve as plotted on Bosch dyno, not much difference other than mid and high RPM climb and the amount of torque/power of course. Ohi-san impression on touge road also noted the excellent turbo power delivery, comparing it to the Veilside Evo Supra which is bit wilder.

Notes :

The KTM X-Bow is an old build replica, using data gathered from KTM documentations and test drives. Weight at 847kg, with 38/62 split, optional 63% rear weight has been added as some report it, but officially KTM stated static distribution as 38/62.

Suspension and LSD has been setup to support the rear heavy bias and aero downforce. Gear ratio stock is okay, but I provided OEM ratio using custom transmission as option, the 5th and 6th gear ratio has been corrected as effective ratio.

Racing brakes kit optional, but highly recommended for racing and TT, with normal brakes, brake balance 6/6 is recommended.

The KTM X-Bow street at 500PP which I included can gold the Tsukuba TT on CS tire, lapping in 1:00s range easily on 1st lap using custom ratio gearbox.

I also tested at various tracks, from Midfield, Apricot Hill/Reverse to Autumn Ring Mini. The X-Bow with OEM corrected ratio able to lap in 40s at Autumn Ring Mini, while with stock gearbox able to lap 1:20s at Midfield. Replay for both run have been included.

Enjoy the road formula car :D

UPDATE May 2017 : Added optional front damper compression at 5, offers a little bit more stability. Tested on Comfort Medium at Deep Forest, capable of 1:26s lap easily.

The KTM Xbow has been updated with optional front damper compression, the setup works well on Comfort Medium too, tested at Deep Forest, lapping in 1:26s easily.

I do not know what happened because I did not receive any alerts on this "watched thread". Now out of curiosity I came here looking for something new and find not just one but nine updates. I've had good times with your Ferraris in Ascari and this update came in good time. By the way I have always had good results with this garage. Looks like I'm going to be pretty busy this week. :)

Edit: Grammar correction. Or trying.

I will revisit the F430 again as well.

I'm getting them all in the Ferrari Challenge in Ascari. Special mention to Wangan Midnight's Yoshiaki Ishida Ferrari 288 GTO detuned to 550 PPs. Awesome ride. Also used my brand new F-40 Special build and agree this is probably the best ever built. Just can't get 544 PPs, mine get only 536 PPs without oil change. Tryed to add a sport computer to get 544 with power limiter in 98.4% but transmition doesn't fit , so back to 536. Not sure if I get 544 with an oil change Even so, awesome tune.

I may have done oil change on the F40, will check on my next play :) Thanks for spotting 👍 The F40 Special Build has more rear weight bias, softest ARB and the zero toe helps bringing it's character out, I agree that this version is the best ( that I like most ).
