Notes

Shima's Blackbird, this version is from Legendary F1 Turbine story arc with 800+PS, where Shima equips the Blackbird with the 800+PS TD-04 Turbine from one of RGO's co-tuners. Oil changed, High RPM turbo kit and engine tuning stage 3 has been installed to reach the power. The Legendary F1 Turbine Blackbird can hit over 350kmh top speed at SSR7 - tested on comfort soft :D

For this replica, I used real life springs ratio, taken from 930 Turbo with JRZ RS Pro Coilover Damper kit, Swift main springs and helper springs were used. I adapted the setup with stiffer spring rate as the real car has 1040kg dry weight, and this Blackbird tips the scale at 1165kg. I have to add ballast and install weight reduction as I wanted to also replicate the real car weight distribution at 38/62. Some even reported to have 37/63 with mods, but I can't afford to have that as it will increase the weight even more.

Spring rate uses the track oriented setup with 10k front and 13.75k rear, damper has been tuned in to support the new weight balance, rear damper is set to give the best possible traction on medium speed to high speed corners as it will live as a Wangan car. Front damper has also been set even stiffer compared to the Ishida story arc version.

LSD uses Paul Guard with 30/80 setup, I adapted the LSD with medium locking on acceleration and high locking on braking side, preload also on medium. A balance for comfort and sports tire.

Gearing remains stock, as I felt the top speed is more than adequate.

I tuned and tested the car at various tracks from Tsukuba, SSR7, Ascari, Willow Springs, Bathurst, Brands Hatch GP, and Silverstone GP.

The Blackbird also tested at SSR7, and I like it there, drives very well on comfort soft :P

I look forward for feedback on the car - power figure and visual parts

The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Best Motoring replica was made a few months ago, and it layed dormant in my garage, gathering dust after some laps at Motegi :lol:
The Gallardo Superleggera was featured on Best Motoring video as one of the closest contender
to the newly released Nissan GTR. It was driven at slalom test track, 400m drag and Tsukuba Time Attack and race at Tsukuba + Motegi against Nissan GTR, Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche GT3 RS, Honda NSX-R, Lotus Exige, Lamborghini Murcielago and a few others. The main drivers of the Gallardo SL are Naoki Hattori and Keiichi Tsuchiya.

The Gallardo SL has 530PS or 523HP, with extensive carbon fibre lighweight body parts, tipping the scale at official figure of 1330kg and 43/57 weight distribution. The Best Motoring video listed the Gallardo SL with 2.62kg/PS when tested, which means it has actual weight of 1389kg on the scale ( presumably with the driver or fully fueled ). I have provided both weight figure, 1330kg and 1389kg.

I used 2008 Gallardo SL factory spring rate for the suspension, at the front : 9.0 Kg/mm (504lb/in) and rear: 10.4 Kg/mm (582lb/in). I have set the damper and ARB to give slight trait of understeer but still have excellent balance from mid corner to exit, to reflect real life professional review of the car, a combination of Best Motoring's Hattori-san and Tsuchiya-san impression and Alain Prost's review in a magazie test. Here is a quote from an article :

surprise, really: fast, but comfortable. And it's easy to go fast!

I have used factory range alignment on camber and toe, this is mild setup aimed for balance on the street and track, giving even wear. There are 3 preset camber with 2 choices of toe level. The Gallardo SL has 2 way rear LSD with 25% lock on acceleration and 40% lock on coast/overrun, while the front is open based on information gathered so far. The VT ( Viscous Tracion ) system under normal driving conditions provide 15% power up front and 85% rear, while under extreme/optimum conditions, the system sends up to 30% power to the front wheels when needed. I have set the GT6 LSD to reflect this, with initial torque set to provide unique locking transition giving around 40-45% lock overall. The LSD gives excellent traction and response to throttle, drive like a one would drive a Gallardo in real life would, be smooth and make use of the AWD system, a good throttle play will give slight oversteer on exit and neutral mid corner, heavy foot won't do :P

The Gallardo SL 530PS BM replica was tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Motegi Road Course, and Red Bull Ring. The real life record at Tsukuba driven by Keiichi Tsuchiya was 1:01.599 during a time attack session, while at Motegi Road Course, the best time during the race ( traffic condition - finished 3rd ) was low 2:12s, also driven by Tsuchiya. The Gallardo SL replica is capable of 1:00.8xxs at Tsukuba when tested ( 1st lap ), with low 14s 1st sector and flat 33s last sector, while at Motegi Road Course, it can easily do 2:08s ( using low camber, 1330kg weight ) At Red Bull Ring, the Gallardo SL is capable of 1:39s lap time with aggressive track alignment- high camber medium speed track setup and yellow chassis / deteriorated body :eek:

I have provided a replay below of the run at Tsukuba, lap time at 1:00.8xxs and Red Bull Ring with aggresive high camber medium speed setup - yellow chassis at 1:39s, enjoy.

I recommend to drive with 1330kg + low camber or try the 1389kg + aggressive track high camber medium speed setup at Red Bull Ring

Here is a lap at Red Bull Ring with the Ferrari F40 replica ( 471 HP Auto Motorsport Mag version ), the time is not bad at 1:43s on comfort soft tire, a very enjoyable drive :P Not as quick as the Gallardo SL, but still respectable pace considering the technological and time gap, a timeless classic, F40 :cool: The lap would be great for taking pics or just viewing pleasure.

The replica is based on test car used by HKS to develop the HIPERMAX S-Style X Coilover Kit series for the NCP31 Toyota bB,

As I built this on stock power and weight, the tire used is comfort hard which provides ample grip even for track duty.

Weight distribution at 61/39 is based on info I found on Scion XB ( the US market version of bB ).

Suspension from HKS, Hipermax S-Style X, a coilover kit designed to provide lowered stance while still providing excellent handling performance. Spring rate at 5/4.7 to balance between comfort and firm ride. I have provided a variety of ride height and alignment to choose from. A track oriented ARB also optional to use. The 1st picture can be replicated using Street Low Recommended ride height.

LSD uses Cusco RS 1.5 way, replicated with medium preload to maximize all available traction, while gearing, you can use stock AT 4 speed ratio or use the 5 speed Toyota C5610B transmission ( used on Corolla Levin/Sprinter AE101/111, Vios Turbo, Celica and Starlet Glanza V ) The 5 speed swap provide good spread and decent top speed - highly recommended.

I mainly tested the car at Tsukuba and Nordschleife. Running at Tsukuba on CH tire and lowest stance drivable ride height, the bB managed 1:17s with ease, a good time for 326PP FF car.

It' one of the rare gem for FF car, there are many more to find, the Toyota Sera, Honda Prelude, some of the older years FF cars :P

I have been busy, but I'll try to post another car. I will be checking some of my race cars replica/tune that I have built back in release day, I remember to have made a JGTC GT500 replica that aimed to replicate Suzuka lap time, the build was aimed as close as possible to real life performance in its day, I had to scour some of my old magazine from Asia that made cover story on the car and it's review, not much infos, but the handling was tailored for stability but sharp, allowing the driver to hold the line like a slot car at Suzuka, a unique traits of GT500 cars. The lap time performance changed considerably between mid 1990's to mid 2000, with about 15 seconds gap in record time :eek:, all due to regulations changes, tire technology, aerodynamic updates and chassis development as well power increase. For the mid 2000 lap record, I don't think the relevant car in GT6 can beat it on same tire as the one I have built, it might also need an alien :lol: I've watched real life record run ( onboard cam ) at Suzuka, not even alien GT6 driver ( the best ) can compare given the same spec of car, the perfection is top class.
 
Ugh! @Ridox2JZGTE You are costing me so many credits!! I'm about to purchase my 3rd Gallardo now to make this new Superleggera Replica. Your Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 GT3-R Base Model is such an awesome vehicle that I just have to make this Superleggera. Actually, there are about 4 or 5 other cars that I'm going to have to make as well. I just love these Replica tunes so much. They really give each car individual characteristics, which is what I want from GT6, unlike so many other tunes out there that tend to make many cars all feel too similar.

I'll report back after I've created these beasts. BTW, were you ever able to update your GT6 to v1.11? I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with a lot of the changes they've implemented.

EDIT: Gran Turismo 7 really needs to give us the ability to rename our cars - or at the very least, add some kind of identifying information to the car name. For instance, I will have 3 Gallardo's after I create this SuperLeggera and there is absolutely nothing that let's anyone know which Gallardo is which until you go in and look at the label that I've applied (tuning label) in the Car Settings. I always wanted a nicely built CRZ, for this 450PP version, I used different approach than usual, Street Tune :)

For a start, I go for turbo in order to achieve necessary power and decent torque delivery that won't hurt the tire too much.
Then suspension comes from J's Racing Showa Street Sport Coilover with low spring rate aimed for street comfort but also still fun at at the track. The coilover allows 30mm max drop at front and rear, spring set at 2.8/3.9, some might think, wow, that's just too soft, but don't worry, as the car is lightened at 1040kg, and excellent damping, the ride is supple but firm :D Front damper is set to avoid excessive dive under braking, while the rear is set to achieve better traction on exit and mid corner.

ARB has been set at moderate stiffness at 3/3, giving good steering response and still nicely planted on mid corner.

For LSD, I have used 1 way low preload, with low locking rate to help with reducing push on exit when using lower grip tire. An alternative for those who can take advantage of better traction and good throttle control is 33 acceleration sensitivity.

Transmission has been fixed with corrected gear ratios, and final gear from 2014 CRZ model year which offers higher final ( lower top speed + better acceleration ). Additionally, the 3rd gear has been replaced with MFactory 3rd gear set at 1.357. The stock 3rd gear is too wide spread from 2nd, as it was set for city/highway driving. With the Mfactory gear set, the spacing is perfect now and offers brisk acceleration :D

The weight distribution has also been fixed at 59/41 as in real life spec. The J's Racing CRZ was tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Willow Springs Street, Brands Hatch GP and Bathurst :)
When tested at Tsukuba on comfort soft, it's capable of 1:05s lap.

Last week, I had a friend requested for one of my replica to be adapted for 400PP event on SH tire at Nurb GP/D. I spent about 10 minutes testing and made slight changes to fit into 400PP. The car can easily lap in 1:47s range on cold tires, with a best of 1:47.4s on 1st lap during my 10 minutes tweaking/test play :D

The base is the replica above, apply these changes to fit into 400PP and tailored for Nurb GP/D on SH tire. The 400PP version also should be good for racing.

Anyway, I just wanted to double check something. Your replica tune wants us to use the default settings instead of installing the Center Differential which allows of adjusting the Front/Read Torque Split, correct?

So far, I think the tune is fantastic. She's a quick one, no doubt. I've gotten so used to how well your GT3 Gallardo Replica is so planted - this Superleggera is definitely more lively!! :)

Be sure to download and watch the replay :) The replica uses stock center differential to replicate Gallardo VT system, it works quite well. The Gallardo SL also quite enjoyable at Motegi Road Course, just be sure to brake in straight line and release the brake slowly :D

This is the understatement of the year. In fact, I foolishly bought and installed Racing Brakes when I was buying the adjustable suspension and setting it up. I guess it was out of habit because so many tuners use racing brakes. Don't worry, I've removed them for authenticity!

Anyway, I set my car up exactly as the Replica settings required, except for accidentally installing Racing Brakes. OMG... just tapping the brakes heading into the Turn 1 hairpin resulted in a full lockup that had me spinning like I was on ice. My tires were as red as the sun! I shook it off and blamed my bad driving. Got back on the track and proceeded to lock 'em up again before the next hairpin. I pressed start and quit immediately. Thankfully, it only took about 30 seconds to recognize I had installed Racing Brakes and I removed them, in favor for the standard brakes.

OMG was that an experience. Even with the standard brakes -- you've got to brake in a straight line and go easy on that pedal. Great replica, as usual, Ridox!! Fantastic work....I'm going to try a few more laps on a different course and then I think I'm going to build your RUF "Blackbird". I should have that car totalled in about an hour! :dunce::crazy::lol::D

I'll post some more thoughts - hopefully a little more eloquently after I build and drive the Blackbird.

The Audi R8 GT is the sportier version of the vanilla R8, with lighter weight and more power, it can be said that the R8 GT is like Superleggera version of the Lamborghini :P

The 1st release model year 2010 Audi R8 GT has 1525kg weight and weight distribution of 43/57, which is quite similar to it's close relative, Lamborghini Gallardo. Install window weight reduction for 2010 weight figure. The 2012 model year grows fatter with 1600kg, this setup do not use the window weight reduction.

The Audi R8 GT uses Eibach Springs, the front spring rate is known at 110N/mm or 628lb/in, ID 70mm and 200mm length based on a report from an owner who took a look at the spring markings, unfortunately no such information available for rear springs. I have to make an estimation on the rear springs by cross referencing Eibach ERS catalogue and decided on 120N/mm or 658lb/in spring. I taken into account the Gallardo stock spring rate ratio :) The chosen spring rate works very well for the car, and I tuned the damper to be firm, precise, yet easy to ride on the edge. The Audi R8 GT features sports manual adjustable coilover system with 10mm lower ride height than stock vanilla R8 as standard from factory. The R8 GT factory alignment also has higher base camber front and back at 1.5, with similar toe alignment as stock R8. I have also provided an optional suspension setup that uses stock R8 alignment values, feel free to try it.

The LSD is 2 way at the rear, similar in arrangement as Lamborghini Gallardo with mechanical locking differential at the rear axle that provides up to 25 percent lockup when accelerating and up to 40 percent on the overrun/coast. I have setup the LSD similarly to the Gallardo SL replica, and it works just as good.
I have no confirmation on the front LSD, the GT6 stock LSD has the front with some locking, so I decided to include an OPTIONAL LSD setup with 25% lock at the front axle ( 1 way ), this ensure good stability from mid corner to exit, good entry and overall tighter feeling.

The rear wing of the real R8 GT can't be replicated as there's no rear wing available in GT6 :(, but the fixed aero values makes that moot, the R8 GT replica has more than enough downforce to make it stays planted at high speed, one of the key differences the Gallardo SL replica :D

I tuned and tested the Audi R8 GT at Tsukuba, Red Bull Ring and Silverstone GP. It's a bit slower than the Gallardo SL at Red Bull Ring, lapping in 1:42s range.

GALLARDO SUPERLEGGERA REPLICA REVIEW:
Well, I spent a fair amount of time thrashing my new Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera around several different race tracks today. What can I say about the car? Well, it's fast! Dropping some weight (Weight Reduction 1) definitely helps an already fast car feel even faster. The car is pretty wild. Remember, these are replica setups. These aren't toned down, tuned to hold your hand driving experiences. The car understeers. Get used to it. It's a Lamborghini. They understeer. That isn't to say that with some brake pedal and gas pedal modulation you can't learn to control that understeer and even make the car oversteer if you want. You most certainly can, but it is going to take some getting used to.

This Gallardo Superleggera definitely drives "better" than the base Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 that you need to purchase from the Dealership in order to make this badboy. I put the word "better" in quotes because that is my subjective analysis of the car. Again, out of the gate you're probably going to think the stock Gallardo drives "better", but that's probably just because the car is holding your hand with the LSD settings. This car is tuned to deliver massive amounts of power to the road and it requires some discipline. Mashing the throttle to the floor isn't how you're going to want to drive this thing. Don't take that to be a negative. You're not going to hop into a Gallardo Superleggera in the real world and just mash the throttle thru 4th gear either - unless you want to find yourself kissing the side of a guardrail or tree. :D

On to the handling of this Superleggera. Again, it understeers by choice so you're going to have to work on maintaining better turn in speed and be very disciplined with that brake pedal. Speaking of braking, I recommend chopping all your speed down in a straight line while you're getting to know this car. You might feel like your on ice if you're not used to how this car's braking is while increasing those lateral G forces. Anyway, one thing that has nothing to do with Ridox is Gran Turismo's implementation of Camber. Yes, it is working much better than it was pre v1.09 (or was it v1.10, I can't remember), but I still think PD has some work to do to get Camber exactly right. You're going to want some camber on this suspension. It will help through the corners. Camber 0.0 still provides the most overall "grip", but if you're on a twisty track you're going to appreciate some applied camber on this vehicle. Remember, even with the weight reduction, she's still not the lightest car in the world.

Overall, it's a fun drive. I'm glad I bought my 3rd Gallardo and built this Superleggera. Honestly, I think Ridox's Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 Replica (Reiter Engineering) is the best Gallardo I've driven in GT6, so if you're not willing to have a stable of Gallardo's in your garage, I would go with the GT3 edition. Having said that, there is no reason you couldn't have two Gallardo's in your garage and keep one as a base LP 560-4 and have these Superleggera settings on another tab and then have your second Gallardo be your GT3 for racing and such. The base cars are not that expensive from the Dealership. You can't just build the GT3 on the same car, in a different tab, because the GT3 requires Chassis Reinforcing (Improve Body Rigidity) and the street cars should not have it. It makes big differences, as I'm sure most of you know.

RUF BLACKBIRD REPLICA REVIEW:
I also drove the RUF "Blackbird" a bit today. Where do I begin? The car is an animal. I know that phrase gets thrown around a lot on this website, but this thing REALLY is a wild animal. It wants to kill you. Then apply CPR and kill you all over again. If you are thinking about building this car, that's cool, you're going to have some fun once you do. A word of advice. For your first few laps around the Nordschleife, try not to go past half-throttle. I know you're probably rolling your eyes, but that's just how powerful this car is. Even with the obscene weight balance of 38/62 this car will spin the tires at 100MPH+ in 3rd gear! Heaven help you if your front wheels aren't straight when that happens.

Speaking of a weight balance of 38/62, you haven't experienced the pendulum effect until you've gotten this car unhappy and unbalanced. The tail will come around you in the blink of an eye if you're not careful. A lot of that has to do with how deceptive this car is to drive. The exhaust isn't what you'd think with a car producing 800HP. It's relatively quiet when the RPMs are low to mid range. So, when you're in 3rd gear and spinning 3,500RPM you think you must not be going that fast. The car isn't making much noise and you're only in 3rd gear...and then you look at your speedometer and realize you'd be arrested in any of the 50 states if you were pulled over driving that fast. This goes back to what I was saying about driving half throttle until you get used to the massive amount of power this Blackbird has.

I don't think it will surprise anyone that this car is a handful to drive. Not just because of it's speed, but because these old Porsche's just were a handful. Even with RUF's technical prowess, these older 911 cars require a very delicate touch to keep yourself out of the Emergency Room. You don't earn the title "Widow Maker" for 'nuthing! You're going to want to brake early and steady. You're going to have to get used to controlling your turns with your gas pedal which can be counter-intuitive for those who aren't used to driving a rear-engine car. When in doubt, apply some gas and get that weight shifted back onto the rear wheels. It's a confusing way to drive at first and I must confess that I'm not very good at driving this car. The power alone is scary. Add in the delicateness one must apply to steering this machine and braking...I've got a lot more miles before I can confidently drive this thing.

If you're already a fan of the Yellowbird, it's a no-brainer. Build this replica! Yes, it's obscene. That's part of it's charm. Yes, you'll probably have to rebuild the chassis in the GT Auto Pit Zone too often because you slam into walls too much. But, you're going to have a lot of fun doing it!

The NSX GT2 was entered in 1995 Le Mans, the car number 84 driven by Akira Iida, Kunimitsu Takahashi, and Keiichi Tsuchiya. It became the class winner.

This replica is based on that same car. I did a lot of research to find details and specs. Some of them can't be achieved accurately. There have been different weight figure, 1043kg and 1050kg. The GT6 NSX LM can only go as low as 1045kg. Power is at 380HP, but later on the NSX GT2 with different chassis has 400HP power in 2001 when it raced in European Endurance series. The Gran Turismo version on PSX has 549HP power and 1050kg. This power level can't be achieved in GT6.

I based the suspension on the 2001 update NSX GT2 to compete with modern race car spec. The suspension uses Eibach springs and Dynamic Damper System. I set the spring rate to similar ratio as used on JGTC NSX as the value range is not reachable in GT6. This should give similar handling albeit at softer overall rate. I have also setup the damper, ARB and alignment to work with the extra rigidity applied and include a damper setup for non body rigidity for those who don't want to apply the irreversible upgrade.

LSD is 1.5 way, with high preload and lock to ensure stability. Gearing is based on Hewland 5 Speed Sequential as it used on 1995 Le Mans. I adapted the current Hewland offering of 5 speed sequential for MR cars, the ratio and finals are taken from the Hewland catalogue, aimed to replicate the top speed during the race at close to 280kmh.

The NSX GT2 Team Kunimitsu has been tuned and tested at La Sarthe, Silverstone GP, Special Stage Route 5 and Motegi East Course. It can lap SSR5 in 1:28s and Motegi East in 1:27s on SM tires.

@riverfiver Did you happen to apply an oil change to your car? If you did, that's the problem. Ridox's tune specifically says NO oil change. If that is the case, you can always apply a power limiter (drop the percentage from 96.4% to a lower amount) to match his HP.

If you haven't applied an oil change, then I don't know what to tell you. Sorry...

I don't know what made me choose to create this replica car at 4:45AM, but I'm glad I did! The Lotus Evora GT4 is a fantastic automobile. Admittedly, I know very little about the GT4 class of race cars. I'm assuming it would be best to think of it as GT3's little brother. However, I'm sure people are going to tear my head off for saying that. I do not mean that as an insult. GT3 is possibly my favorite class of race cars. But I digress...

So, where to begin with this thing? First off, it's a great looking car. I bought mine in a funky color called Isotope Green, but I don't plan on keep the car that color. I just wanted the paint chip because I think that color will look good on something else in my garage. Adding the ground effects and rear wing really make it look spectacular. I never used to be a big fan of these tiny Lotus's until I started playing Gran Turismo. I grew up on the Lotus Esprit and that's how I liked my Lotus's to look.

Fortunately, this Lotus Evora isn't just about looking good. It's designed to keep your back and butt firmly planted as she negotiates turns and corners at speeds you'd think would cause the car to spin or slide off the road. This is one planted machine. The car is incredibly nimble at low speed as well as being firmly planted at higher speeds. I'm sure the rear wing helps in that regard. The default setting of 15 provides good downforce, but you're probably better off just turning it up to 20, the maximum. You'll feel a little bit more downforce at high speed and you really shouldn't loose too much top end at all from the increased downforce.

Ridox has been kind enough to supply you with four suspension setups to choose from. I only tried three of them, but I ended up settling on the 3rd suspension option. The setup with no rake (equal ride height) seemed to drive best for me. I wanted to take this car out on a track I rarely drive, so I chose Trial Mountain Circuit Reverse. I'm not even certain that I've ever driven this course before. This was a fantastic track to test my new Lotus out. There are just enough turns, both fast and slow, straights and elevation changes to challenge this ride. This provided an excellent opportunity for me to prove how applying camber most certainly does improve lap times under the right circumstances. The longer, faster corners really held better thanks to the camber. I know because I accidentally left camber set to 0.0 out of habit. I was shocked at how much screeching I was hearing and how much sliding occurred with the faster, sweeping turns. Once I applied camber my car held the road much better on those same turns.

Here is another car that has a rather unfriendly weight distribution of 39 : 61... On Trial Mountain Circuit I've experienced, the hard way, what all that weight can do to a car when you're flying around a high speed corner just a wee bit too much! Thankfully, this is a video game otherwise I'd be in traction. You can easily adjust to that weight distribution with some practice. It's just a matter of learning throttle control so you don't floor the gas at the wrong time and you remember when to apply the gas lightly when too much weight it leaning forward.

The brakes are very good in this car. It helps when you've only got 1200kg to slow down, but these racing brakes do their job just fine. Acceleration is very good in this car. With 309 lb/ft of torque that comes on very quickly, you'll pull through the gears and that 355HP very fast. I haven't had a chance to check out it's top end yet, but I'm certain it will be just fine based on the amount of power this car has. Of course, you can always adjust the final gear ratio if you need more top end.

The Lotus Motorsport/Cosworth Evora GT4 Replica is a very, very fun car to drive. It's easy, yet it's not neutered in any way. I'll have to take it to a track I'm more familiar with to compare lap times with my other 500PP vehicles. I could see people forming an online racing series around a car like this. Your inputs are translated to the road very cleanly. You don't have to coax this car to have it do what you want. I'm a very big fan of the Lotus Elise race car and this Lotus Evora feels a lot like the Elise 111R, just a lot heavier. Considering how inexpensive the car is ($100,000) there really is no excuse not to have one in your garage.
 
If anyone having a spare time, be sure to try to drive the Ferrari F40 replica, the EU Auto MotorSport Mag version on comfort soft tire at Red Bull Ring, aim for at least 1:44s lap - lower the car to 80/80 ride height and if wanted softer springs, use 7.14 Front and 11.61 Rear - all else the same, enjoy the awesome ride :P

I will give this a run in the next few days for sure as I have been testing a whole batch of tunes I have used from yourself, praiano, exeter and HaB racing. Love your work with the Aventador tune you posted. It is sheer bliss now!

I wanted to try a setup by you for a longtime, but have been so tied up in racing series that I have not had an opportunity in a long time to really give any time to testing out cars that were not in the leagues I race in. Last night I had my first chance to and boy when I found this beauty I had to give it a go.

First impressions on the car I had was it is extremely planted to the track, almost to the point where it is a little slower then it should be. Braking straight line into corners is spot on, there was no real worry of breaking the limit of adhesion with the RH tires I ran the car with. Trail braking into the corner's is only increments difficult at first, it took about two turns to find the sweet spot using the gas and brake to get it to rotate without over stressing any tires during the maneuver. I probably should have used a harder compound tire looking back at it because with the RH tires the car suffers from terminal understeer at every point in the turn. You have to manipulate the throttle very carefully throughout the whole turn. Eve lift off oversteer is very mild to almost non existent in most turns although hey a little too aggressive it will spin you around if you lift off completely.

When you do push this car to the limit the major weakness it has is the inside front tire during any turn. This tire seems to be getting pushed beyond its traction limit/ or being overloaded. It is easy to use for an advantage in the corner for rotation, but it will also be a great hinder if you are worried about tire wear. This happens especially if you are ready to plant down the accelerator mid corner.

The car shines in stability during mid and high speed corners staying planted properly to give you a great amount of grip to exit post apex at full speed. It is almost like having a FWD car during this point of the turn. It will understeer during this process, but if you have your driving line spot on it is extremely rewarding for the next straight. It takes a little trail an error to get it right, but overall for a MR car it will give you the confidence to exit turns at full blast, something most MR cars have a problem with. I did not really have to use any counter steer on any exits of turns.

The only warning I will give for this car is just to stay off the curbing, if hitting them you will be going for a ride.

My recommendation for this car is for those that want to learn to drive a MR car. It exhibits the tendencies of the drive train and how it will react, but reacting benign enough that it is easily controllable for most drivers. This tune is a fantastic replica that I recommend everyone to drive.

The Audi R8 GT is the sportier version of the vanilla R8, with lighter weight and more power, it can be said that the R8 GT is like Superleggera version of the Lamborghini :P

The 1st release model year 2010 Audi R8 GT has 1525kg weight and weight distribution of 43/57, which is quite similar to it's close relative, Lamborghini Gallardo. Install window weight reduction for 2010 weight figure. The 2012 model year grows fatter with 1600kg, this setup do not use the window weight reduction.

The Audi R8 GT uses Eibach Springs, the front spring rate is known at 110N/mm or 628lb/in, ID 70mm and 200mm length based on a report from an owner who took a look at the spring markings, unfortunately no such information available for rear springs. I have to make an estimation on the rear springs by cross referencing Eibach ERS catalogue and decided on 120N/mm or 658lb/in spring. I taken into account the Gallardo stock spring rate ratio :) The chosen spring rate works very well for the car, and I tuned the damper to be firm, precise, yet easy to ride on the edge. The Audi R8 GT features sports manual adjustable coilover system with 10mm lower ride height than stock vanilla R8 as standard from factory. The R8 GT factory alignment also has higher base camber front and back at 1.5, with similar toe alignment as stock R8. I have also provided an optional suspension setup that uses stock R8 alignment values, feel free to try it.

The LSD is 2 way at the rear, similar in arrangement as Lamborghini Gallardo with mechanical locking differential at the rear axle that provides up to 25 percent lockup when accelerating and up to 40 percent on the overrun/coast. I have setup the LSD similarly to the Gallardo SL replica, and it works just as good.
I have no confirmation on the front LSD, the GT6 stock LSD has the front with some locking, so I decided to include an OPTIONAL LSD setup with 25% lock at the front axle ( 1 way ), this ensure good stability from mid corner to exit, good entry and overall tighter feeling.

The rear wing of the real R8 GT can't be replicated as there's no rear wing available in GT6 :(, but the fixed aero values makes that moot, the R8 GT replica has more than enough downforce to make it stays planted at high speed, one of the key differences the Gallardo SL replica :D

I tuned and tested the Audi R8 GT at Tsukuba, Red Bull Ring and Silverstone GP. It's a bit slower than the Gallardo SL at Red Bull Ring, lapping in 1:42s range.

I'll second the audi, it's a whole world of fun to drive on CS. Will have to try that race out with it. The SL Gallardo was a great drive as well. The NSX quoted on previously was also the goods, a worthwhile add to the garage.

I research quite hard to make this replica built, based on Tommy Kaira M30 HR31 GTS-R, R31 House Tuning Company made some improvement on the car, with single turbo low mount setup, the ever famous exhaust manifold and exhaust system, running low boost, the car has 260PS. The suspension of choice by R31 House, JIC Magic "Gold", now considered very rare as it has been discontinued. LSD is from Cusco Type RS with optimized locking rate ( cam angle and number of plates ) aimed at track day and daily driving.

This replica works well on comfort soft, with nice balance and lots of potential, for track day sports medium is the ideal tire ( R comp semi slick equivalent ). I have corrected the weight distribution based on real life data on HR31 coupe and kerb weight from official Nissan data.

When tested at Tsukuba, the car managed easy 1:09s, also tested at Street of Willow and Fuji Speedway GT.

There will be another R31 HOUSE M30 replica posted soon ( a different customer car ) with even more comprehensive build - HKS twin turbo low mount, RB26 bottom end, stroked to 3.1, stiffer JIC spring set, still running low boost for durability/daily driving, pushing 400PS with potential for 500+PS :eek:

GALLARDO SUPERLEGGERA REPLICA REVIEW:
Well, I spent a fair amount of time thrashing my new Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera around several different race tracks today. What can I say about the car? Well, it's fast! Dropping some weight (Weight Reduction 1) definitely helps an already fast car feel even faster. The car is pretty wild. Remember, these are replica setups. These aren't toned down, tuned to hold your hand driving experiences. The car understeers. Get used to it. It's a Lamborghini. They understeer. That isn't to say that with some brake pedal and gas pedal modulation you can't learn to control that understeer and even make the car oversteer if you want. You most certainly can, but it is going to take some getting used to.

This Gallardo Superleggera definitely drives "better" than the base Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 that you need to purchase from the Dealership in order to make this badboy. I put the word "better" in quotes because that is my subjective analysis of the car. Again, out of the gate you're probably going to think the stock Gallardo drives "better", but that's probably just because the car is holding your hand with the LSD settings. This car is tuned to deliver massive amounts of power to the road and it requires some discipline. Mashing the throttle to the floor isn't how you're going to want to drive this thing. Don't take that to be a negative. You're not going to hop into a Gallardo Superleggera in the real world and just mash the throttle thru 4th gear either - unless you want to find yourself kissing the side of a guardrail or tree. :D

On to the handling of this Superleggera. Again, it understeers by choice so you're going to have to work on maintaining better turn in speed and be very disciplined with that brake pedal. Speaking of braking, I recommend chopping all your speed down in a straight line while you're getting to know this car. You might feel like your on ice if you're not used to how this car's braking is while increasing those lateral G forces. Anyway, one thing that has nothing to do with Ridox is Gran Turismo's implementation of Camber. Yes, it is working much better than it was pre v1.09 (or was it v1.10, I can't remember), but I still think PD has some work to do to get Camber exactly right. You're going to want some camber on this suspension. It will help through the corners. Camber 0.0 still provides the most overall "grip", but if you're on a twisty track you're going to appreciate some applied camber on this vehicle. Remember, even with the weight reduction, she's still not the lightest car in the world.

Overall, it's a fun drive. I'm glad I bought my 3rd Gallardo and built this Superleggera. Honestly, I think Ridox's Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 Replica (Reiter Engineering) is the best Gallardo I've driven in GT6, so if you're not willing to have a stable of Gallardo's in your garage, I would go with the GT3 edition. Having said that, there is no reason you couldn't have two Gallardo's in your garage and keep one as a base LP 560-4 and have these Superleggera settings on another tab and then have your second Gallardo be your GT3 for racing and such. The base cars are not that expensive from the Dealership. You can't just build the GT3 on the same car, in a different tab, because the GT3 requires Chassis Reinforcing (Improve Body Rigidity) and the street cars should not have it. It makes big differences, as I'm sure most of you know.

RUF BLACKBIRD REPLICA REVIEW:
I also drove the RUF "Blackbird" a bit today. Where do I begin? The car is an animal. I know that phrase gets thrown around a lot on this website, but this thing REALLY is a wild animal. It wants to kill you. Then apply CPR and kill you all over again. If you are thinking about building this car, that's cool, you're going to have some fun once you do. A word of advice. For your first few laps around the Nordschleife, try not to go past half-throttle. I know you're probably rolling your eyes, but that's just how powerful this car is. Even with the obscene weight balance of 38/62 this car will spin the tires at 100MPH+ in 3rd gear! Heaven help you if your front wheels aren't straight when that happens.

Speaking of a weight balance of 38/62, you haven't experienced the pendulum effect until you've gotten this car unhappy and unbalanced. The tail will come around you in the blink of an eye if you're not careful. A lot of that has to do with how deceptive this car is to drive. The exhaust isn't what you'd think with a car producing 800HP. It's relatively quiet when the RPMs are low to mid range. So, when you're in 3rd gear and spinning 3,500RPM you think you must not be going that fast. The car isn't making much noise and you're only in 3rd gear...and then you look at your speedometer and realize you'd be arrested in any of the 50 states if you were pulled over driving that fast. This goes back to what I was saying about driving half throttle until you get used to the massive amount of power this Blackbird has.

I don't think it will surprise anyone that this car is a handful to drive. Not just because of it's speed, but because these old Porsche's just were a handful. Even with RUF's technical prowess, these older 911 cars require a very delicate touch to keep yourself out of the Emergency Room. You don't earn the title "Widow Maker" for 'nuthing! You're going to want to brake early and steady. You're going to have to get used to controlling your turns with your gas pedal which can be counter-intuitive for those who aren't used to driving a rear-engine car. When in doubt, apply some gas and get that weight shifted back onto the rear wheels. It's a confusing way to drive at first and I must confess that I'm not very good at driving this car. The power alone is scary. Add in the delicateness one must apply to steering this machine and braking...I've got a lot more miles before I can confidently drive this thing.

If you're already a fan of the Yellowbird, it's a no-brainer. Build this replica! Yes, it's obscene. That's part of it's charm. Yes, you'll probably have to rebuild the chassis in the GT Auto Pit Zone too often because you slam into walls too much. But, you're going to have a lot of fun doing it!

Suspension fitted by RENNTech is based on KW Suspension, featuring 3 way Racing Damper with matching springs. For spring rate, I decided to use stiff racing spec rate, at 1200 lb/in front and 1500lb/in rear, this is a club racer setup, with damper, ARB and camber tuned for best performance while maintaining good balance and feeling. I have provided 3 camber level setup, my personal choice is high camber :)

The 722 GT uses RENNTech built differential, a mechanical clutch type 2 way LSD with 70% lock on acceleration and 80% lock on coast/overrun. The transition is smooth, possible with optimized initial torque.

Gearing remains stock, but RENNTech has rebuilt the internals with RENNTech 722.6 5 Speed Transmission Upgrade KIT. Stronger clutch has been replicated with twin plate clutch, while the upgrades is reflected with the added carbon drive shaft, giving quicker shift times with better feel like in real life.

For appearance, the optional Aero Kit Type B is the closest to the real car, but the wheel offset is not possible, thus may give unfavorable look to some.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Red Bull Ring, and Silverstone GP, from comfort soft to racing hard, the SLR 722 GT drives exceptionally well, Enjoy :D This one for you @ColinH96, sorry it has been long overdue :lol:

The replica has 720HP, as I wanted to replicate the torque, 2HP difference is not much :) I have also provided Road Car Version spec, with 1649kg weight, OPTIONAL Body Rigidity, this version only uses weight reduction stage 1.

Suspension fitted by RENNTech is based on KW Suspension, featuring 3 way Racing Damper with matching springs. For spring rate, I decided to use stiff racing spec rate, at 1200 lb/in front and 1500lb/in rear, this is a club racer setup, with damper, ARB and camber tuned for best performance while maintaining good balance and feeling. I have provided 3 camber level setup, my personal choice is high camber :)

The 722 GT R2/R3 uses RENNTech built differential, a mechanical clutch type 2 way LSD, for this replica I decided to use the newer generation RENNTech Superlock LSD with 100% lock on acceleration and 80% lock on coast/overrun. The transition is smooth, possible with optimized initial torque. The LSD gives tremendous traction balance when under extreme load, and more freedom on low or normal load. The stability is top notch providing lots of confidence when steering at high speed.

Gearing remains stock, but RENNTech has rebuilt the internals with RENNTech 722.6 5 Speed Transmission Upgrade KIT. Stronger clutch has been replicated with twin plate clutch, while the upgrades is reflected with the added carbon drive shaft, giving quicker shift times with better feel like in real life.

For appearance, the optional Aero Kit Type B is the closest to the real car, but the wheel offset is not possible, thus may give unfavorable look to some.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Red Bull Ring, and Silverstone GP, from comfort soft to racing hard, the SLR 722 GT R2/R3 drives exceptionally well, Enjoy :D

This replica is a project car built in collaboration of several companies, RENNTech, Platinum Motorsports, Luxury4Play, Mansory, MA Carbon and Exotics Boutique. Based on SLR 722, the car has been thoroughly upgraded/tuned with 777HP output, taking parts from RENNTech catalogue. As the real car torque figure is unknown ( remain secret ) due to the car holding the quarter mile world record for Mercedes road car with an astonishing 9.76s @ 140.8 mph (226 kmh) trap speed, I opted to provide 2 torque figure preset, one at 777ft and another at 750ft :P The quarter mile record can be easily replicated at SSRX start line to 400mm mark, simply fit sports soft or racing hard tire :D, a good start will see 9.6 to 9.7s at +-230kmh, pretty close. The L4P SLR777 also the only one SLR with Mansory Renovatio body kit fitted outside Mansory factory.
