I'm 6'4" 280 lbs and looking at getting a playseat will it work for me or should I get something else.

I'm 6'1" 245 and it barely fits me. I wouldn't get it if I were you. It would probably be a pretty tight fit. If I eat a few more pieces of chocolate pie I might not fit into mine the next time i go to race.
Then again though you are taller then me so you might not be any wider then I am.

rSeat might be a tight fit too, get a rig that you can change or choose the seat if possible.

There are quite a few after-market seats that are roomy and don't break the bank.

Be careful when choosing high-bolstered seats, most of them mount using side brackets.

If you're really nice, maybe you can get JogoAsobi to design one of these for you... :) Probably not for FREE though...

You can buy the seat ^ I have as standalone from a lot of places.

A lot of rigs come with a variation of this seat that is re-branded.

Its a Scat Pro Car Sportsman seat, links for it are on my rig's thread.

The Real Race Seats thread here in GTP's hardware section might also be useful reference for you.

I built a custom Zalem rig (look in my sig) It will fit someone over 7', the weight aspect all depends on the seat you choose. Good luck. BTW if you are interested in the Zalem rig I can provide a blueprint.

I'm 6'2" and 320. I do have an athletic build for as much as I weight. I use an original playseat (the one without the center post between your legs) and it's fine for me. I have some adjustibility if I wanted to move the wheel, or pedals further away from me.

I did do some exta bracing to the base of the seat and a homemade shifter mount and modify the pedal deck to accept the G27 pedals.

The seat is comfortable and you can actually spread the side bolster in the seat if you needed to. What it comes down to, is how big is your posterior and will it fit comfortably in the seat?

I'm 6' 4" 245lb and I've been looking at the obutto ozone and raceroom rr2000. I've heard of some big boy's using the obutto ozone so they say. There is an insidesimracing review of the raceroom rr1000(different seat than the rr2000).
The review is by Darin Ganji and he is 6' 4". The guys at main performance pc sell the obutto's and say its good for big ole' dudes.
