As we still ask the famed question, "Mary Anne, or Ginger", our good buddy has passed on.

Good bye, Gilligan. Your 3 hour tour will be remember for a long time.

Huh! Joining the Skipper in that big Tour Boat in the Sky, I guess. See ya, Bob.

Rest...In...Peace.

He was a very special person. He made his way into most of our hearts. Not only did he play silly, lovable characters (Maynard G. Krebs on Dobbie Gillis & Willie Gilligan), he was a beautiful, kind and gentle person IRL. Instead of going to "Hollywood" parties and living the crazy lifestyle, he stayed content, spending most of his time with family members. When "the rest" of the cast wasn't mentioned in the opening credits of the "Gilligan's Island" TV show, he told the studios to take him out of the opening credits. That sums up who Bob Denver was.

RIP, Little Buddy! You were loved. :(

Click on the link for an idea. You can even buy the DVD collection, which I strongly suggest you do. I don't have it yet, because I'm waiting for the Blu-ray version. I stopped buying DVDs two years ago. Well, most DVDs. I still buy movies for the boys.

When I was in college I would go with a group of friends to sing karaoke and I always used the "Gilligan's Island Theme" as my warm up song. We were there every Tuesday night and all the regulars got to know me as "The Gilligan's Island Guy." I even found an old white PGA bucket hat that I would put on with the front flipped up just for the occasion.

"Gilligan's Island" was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid growing up and I never outgrew it.

So long, Little Buddy. Thanks for three seasons of fun!

As for Ginger or Mary Ann, why choose? When you are stranded on an island for that long you have plenty of time to get to know them both.
