That is bloody quick...But the tune looks dependable from what I understand. And I totally forgot about aero LOL!

I know its too early to ask but will anyone make an NSX RM series? Not right now but after this series is done.

You just run a wire from the modem/router to the PS3, it's actually much easier changing to wired than to wireless. You'll of course have to go into "internet connection settings" in your PS3 afterwards, and change to wired, all in all it takes 2 minutes maybe.
I bought a 50ft ethernet cable on Amazon for $5.50, and hopefully between my changes and the update/maintenance, I'm good to go once again.

@ Phil bell - The LSD on my base tune is pretty much what I run within a few points on every RWD car in the game.

Thanks for that description CSL 👍

Cant race Sundays, so I'm dropping this series. I never made it to begin with. Sorry, if it was a week day it'd be fine. But if I turn my game on at all during a weekend afternoon all I hear is a trash talking woman. Not fun.

That's too bad man, go ahead and use the same form to resign. Thanks for letting me know.

Signed up with #36, just hoping I can make as many races as I think I can ;)

Colours may change yet as I'm not really convinced by them, in fact, I think they're pretty bad :( lol.

For anyone still looking for a guide lap time, at Trial Mountain Reverse I have managed a best of 1'20.5xx with the following set-up:

35 / 60 aero

15 / 20
9.5 / 10.0
6 / 5
4 / 5
4 / 4 (Stock)

0.0 / 0.0 (Stock)
0.00 / +0.20 (Stock)

LSD - 10/40/20 (stock)

Brakes - 3/1

Gears set for 195mph.

I haven't tried adjusting everything just yet as I wanted to find my way around the track first, but this is pretty solid at the rear, rather than having the nose too sharp which seems to work well here so far. However, I'm sure I'll play with this in an effort to hit 19's :) Hope this helps,

Welsh.

This just turned into another great series, so many awesome drivers showing up to tame the lion :D Great info on the set up btw, can't wait to try it.

You and I shouldn't have any lag problems between us since we live in the same city. 👍

Thanks for the lap time. I have a looooong way to go before being in racing shape for this series. Good thing the pre-season was extended.

Wardez, I haven't tried the base tune shown on page 9 of the thread, but I have tried RKM's tune for this car.

Yeah? I started with that tune too, it's pretty good. There's all kinds of numbers flying around here so I'll have to take some time tonight to get it all consolidated in a spreadsheet.

I know its too early to ask but will anyone make an NSX RM series? Not right now but after this series is done.

The NSX is kind of a twitchy girl. I'm not a big fan of the handling and I heard something about a bug associate with it?

I'm not sure what that's all about... but anyway, I wouldn't want to run in a series with them.

Plans are to do a second season of the 111R Series, after that's it's kind of a cloudy horizon.

So that's why I never see an NSX series. What about a 2010 Camaro series? Tail happy at times but less then the vette. I would have done an STi series but no one really voted for it before. I'm starting to get the feeling no one likes racing AWD.

I don't like the tire wear on AWD. Pitting every 10 laps when other cars can make 20 gets to me quickly.
The Camaro RM is a great car though. 👍

I would try making a camaro series but I don't even think I can commit to it every week with school and work and a possible second job coming. Anyone else interested in making one after this series?

Hey Wardez, can you clarify the track boundaries for trial-reverse? I am mostly curious about the yellow hatched areas. Since they have a white lines around them I am assuming they are off-track, correct?

For all G25/27 users, do any of you use your clutch and h-shifter for this car? Just curious.

This is my new colour: fresh blue.
If anyone has this paint chip please share it with me so my rims can match perfectly!

No clutch and paddle shift here.

I believe all yellow hatched areas are track and even the areas to the right of the white line on the start/finish straight and on the left of the white line after the 1st chicane too. This is how I've always run Trial Mountain, but I'll wait for Wardez for clarification.

Gotta love the weather here this summer Nastradamus! 👍

I want to use the clutch and H but it is slower as the game does not allow you to flat shift like in a real race-car.

It's also a pain in the ass going down the gears in something that has such close ratios and stops so quickly.

@ above, I don't think there's much to cut at TM, is there?

The reason I don't use the clutch is because it is forbidden with the WRS (I believe there was a glitch with it that could make gear shifts quicker than those who didn't have the option on other wheels). I may go back to the 'H' shifter to give it a go as it is fun to change gear that way and you can always jump gears too (4th to 2nd etc). I actually find you don't need to downshift too quickly with this car, so the 'H' shifter should be fine, it's just steering with one hand whilst shifting that can upset me! :( (Especially on bumpy tracks)

Practice later anyone?

Oh those areas are all good to go. Use the entire track. Just be careful on the dirt coming out of the final combination going onto the straight. I'll post pictures later.

That's just another thing I love about this car. That's how you have to shift in race cars, If you downshift too early in GT1/GTE cars then your engine braking will just mess your handling up really bad and send you into the corner really unstable-like. You have to learn to be really patient with downshifts as it seems counter-intuitive to downshift so late in such a fast car. You almost have to coast into turns, then downshift mid-corner.

It's really fun to rock the shifter with it, but not totally the best way to go. I'd love to have a little sequential box, I'd be all over that thing with the 'vette.

I used to run the C6.R in iRacing with the H-pattern for a while as it was faster than semi-sequential with no blip assist but then I learned to use a button clutch and I never went back xD.

Just an FYI, current C6R's in ALMS have paddle shifters. I am not trying to say this or that is right, I just wanted to throw it out there for anyone who wasn't aware.

I have two cars built, one for large tracks like Sarthe and Nurburgring. With not the exact same color...could I run two differnt colored cars with the same number obviously?

You're going to need to build a whole new car for this series. Don't worry about breaking it in, just B-Spec the car to run the engine in to 200 miles and you're good to go.

No extra parts, what-so-ever, are allowed to be present in the car's tuning options; whether it's being used or not.

Oh awesome then, yes you're allowed different schemes. Just let me know what colors will be used for what tracks and I'll take care of it 👍

The number will be the same through out and that is #3 the color scheme I'll put up tomorrow. Thanks for your help and being cool about it.

I see. Good to know. I used to use the clutch in any car that had it but my knee injury had a flare-up and it gets too sore when using the clutch. Also, it makes me less consistent.

Speed wise, however, on some tracks I am faster with the clutch if ABS 1 is used because I have a shorter stopping distance. I think this is because when using the clutch you get engine breaking. This extra breaking force increases the total breaking force and brings the car closer to threshold breaking. Missing a shift really kills your lap though.

If you know where or how to get it I may be able to help.

Hmmm. I don't have any idea which car it is from. It could have been a randomly acquired paint chip from logging in. Thanks though!

Ok, thanks! That should take an entire second off my lap times. Those corners were really slowing me down!

Fresh Blue is a paint chip from a '58 Subaru 360. I should be back around GT5 later today and will check if I have a Fresh Blue paint chip. If I do, I will send it to you after the servers are back up from their maintenance period.

Happy belated birthday btw Brosif B!, hope you had a ball or two 👍

I'm gonna open up a practice room in the afternoon tomorrow if any one wanted to get their quali. out of the way 👍

I think I can if it's after wsgtc, I don't start with the Vette until the GTR's done, and vice versa, to hard switching.:yuck:

I would like to get in on this. Should be able to make it.

Thanks guys! We had good weather Saturday and I was able to get the GP1200R up to 73MPH on the GPS. A bromigo of mine had his 1800cc turbocharged (yes, turbo) ski running mid to high 70s all day. I need his engine in my ski and I would run 80MPH no problem since my boat is a foot shorter and a hell of a lot lighter. I also went for a ride in a family friend's 33' cat Eliminator, we hit 115MPH without even pushing. That's the fastest I have ever been on the water and it's absolutely crazy!

I also managed to finally take the time to lower my MS6. My father questioned why I was lowering my "winter" car but he agreed with the end result.

It was one of the easiest cars I have ever lowered. The whole process of getting the car in the air, changing the springs, taking it for a spin, and then back in the air for a four wheel alignment only took me two and half hours. It would have been less if my helper wasn't preoccupied with drinking beer.

I should be around. I haven't driven TM reverse with a Corvette but I have strongly disliked my experiences in other vehicles. I hope it's not the same story.

Edit:

Wow! Thanks!!!

I have two Fresh Blue paint chips. Accept my PSN friend request and I will send them to you.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to bump.

Does anyone want to practice? I am bored.

Starting the WSGTC race in about thirty minutes, so I'll be free in a couple hours xD

Closed.

Edit: It is confirmed. I hate Trial Mountain Reverse. The track is not a proper race course.
