No problem Rees, lol, it's a collaboration.

Also, let's every one get together in welcoming in another quality and fast driver. He goes by the name Sifer.

Good job out there today in practice Sifer. It's always cool when someone new comes in, communicates well and actually listens 👍

Thanks Red!

Absolutely deserved. You are a very fast driver and most importantly clean and respectful.
I have a bungee hooked up, and working now. 👍
Unfortunately it's a strange bungee with no hooks, so it's a little awkward I think, I'll be heading to the store for some proper ones asap though.

If it makes me faster, I owe you indefinitely. I don't know what, but something.
I might try doing the gas pedal too.:trouble:

You definitely don't owe me anything, but thank you. Now that I think about it, I never put a bungee on the accelerator, but I know a lot of fast drivers did.

Maybe this is just the little bit you need to move from DIV 1 Silver to DIV 1 Gold. Would love to have played a part in someone becoming a true alien. :)

Sifer did a great job. He practiced with CSL, Wardez, and myself today. In fact he set his qualification time while short 18hp I believe.

If it does I will send you a check. It'll have to be fake for now though.

Yes, Sifer did very well, still laughing at how badly myself and Wardez did in the 3 laps races though. This track is downright mean if you make a mistake, no forgiveness whatsoever.

Hopefully we'll do better tomorrow.:scared:

I don't know Red.... I don't know...
1:56.999 - And even better, I was .317 up on this at T2, just braked to late for the final chicane, so I see mid 56's now, can't confirm it's the bungee, but I sure didn't think I'd get this low before.

I'm still pretty speechless about it all, I guess time will tell if brake pedal resistance really does help that much, the only thing I changed was camber from 2.5 front to 2.0, and 2.5 helped earlier.

Later then I expected, but as promised (and more) here's the setup.

And this is exactly what I plan to run tomorrow, so lowering the front ride height a small amount may help those looking for extra stability.

Suspension
6 / 0
11.7 / 10.8
4 / 8
8 / 4
6 / 4

Camber and Toe
2.0 / 1.2
+0.10 / +0.20

LSD
7 / 10 / 13

BB
4.4

And gears, I broke down and told Sifer in our rainy then sunny practice, so here goes my secret. (that's not actually a secret, but seems somehow unknown by many)
Set your transmissions to default, then set top speed all but one click to the left, and lower final drive to where you see fit.
This will make the gears closer than you can make them the "standard" way.
After doing this, I lower (numerically) first and second gear, make third a shade quicker, and 4, 5, & 6 even to 3 in length on the graph.
By length I mean the bottom of each on the graph.

Added you csl. Will probably opt to start from the rear tomorrow though. Also not sure if I can finish the race as I have training every monday morning now...

I got like 2 minutes flat for 5 laps straight lol,and just cant get below it.

I might not make it tomorrow and will have to opt out from the series until further notice due to training clashing with the race date.I will say I've enjoyed racing here and will return whenever I can.

I keep getting 2:00.55X I'm always within a .005 of a second of my last lap.... How do you guys get 55?

Qualifying will always be done with heavy damage and on the dry standard versions of tracks we visit that feature rain, weather is only for the race.
Wardez -
With the last two qualifying sessions being run on limited damage, I assumed this had changed, so I told Red to set it to "limited", not that it would have affected any of our runs, I thought it should be known so you can make a decision on that.
100% my fault, I had known it was supposed to be full, assumed:dunce: it changed without looking, sorry if it causes any disruption.:ouch:

@ BlackIce - Not sure what to say, good news is I think mid 56's is best case scenario, at least for me, have you tried both the posted setups?

Oop! I thought I edited that out, guess I forgot to save or something when I did it.

The room settings had limited damage so it must've been more confusing.

You had it right though. Although for next week's GT1 Prize Challenge at Le Mans, it'll be heavy damage through out.

I still haven't put any laps in yet, but maybe I'll find time after the Integra race :( Great to see some quality drivers joining the grid for what is a good, challenging series!

Hopefully this hangover will be better too :D

I ran a 1:56.823 with my car.. It was at 570 bhp, so my guess is that those extra 17 bhp's and a little tuning would get me in to the 55's..

I can't race, but just tryed the car to see if I had the pace.. Going to start practicing for La Sarthe tomorrow.. 👍

Looking much forward to it..
My guess is that we should hit way down in the 50's.. Perhaps hig in the 40's.. but I'm just guessing though..

Man I still can't break 2min. CLS's setup is far better then anything I could have come up with but as far as me braking 2min I think I will get blown away today w/ people blasting out 55's and 56's. so try to not win the race in the first turn and remember that everyone will be on the track for an hr and take a little more time to pass someone like in real racing, thankzzz

1 inpact penality 3-5 sec's
1 cut track 4-5 sec's
1 bobble = 3-5 sec's
1 spin = 10-12 sec's
1 pit = 3 spins or 30+ sec's
food for thouht, good luck everyone 👍

Ok, so I didn't fudge it, good to know.
Love the twist for Sarthe.:trouble:

With CSLs setup, I got to 1:58.6xx is that good?
It's certainly not bad, and if it's a 2 second improvement, makes me quite happy to know it worked so well for you.👍

Division 1 Bronze my ...

Wardez - I hate to be a pain, but being the big fan of ABS set at 2 that I am, and this having tripped me up a bit in the WSGTC, is this still in effect?
ABS: Optional (Not higher than "1")
If it's 1 that's fine, just figured I'd check my options.

CSL, I'm doing 56's too! just changed the LSD to 10/12/10 and it's working fine! wish we could Qualify again lol.

Ya it made me faster but it wears the tires out faster as well. Also its a little more tail happy compared to my set up. I feel like my setup is good for when it rains since the is grounded and the tires won't wear down as fast but since its sunny most of the race if not all, your setup would be the better option.

You're tellin me? Honestly though, from my experiences, if you can't qualy top 3, you're better off starting at the back, the middle is the last place I want to be.
I always say low LSD is faster, it's just to much easier to control, at least for me.

The only thing I can confirm for tire wear aside from the gas pedal (thanks Sifer;) ) is lowering camber, which is a tricky game, lower is slower, but lasts longer, lots of test laps and math required to be precise, neither of which I had time to do.

If it's loose my previous setup was simply front ride height at 5. My setup change before that was ride height 4. Each number higher on the front makes the car a little looser, and more prone to over-steer, you can easily run with 3-5 front ride height, but it's harder on the front tires, though easier to control. Tuning is all about making the car fit you, not you trying to adapt to the car.👍

Just changed it, anyone's free to use whatever ABS setting they'd like.\

Alright! See what happens when you ask people to read OP's? The pricks find everything.

Maybe something wrong with my browser?

I only see my name, Sifer, and CSL on that link.. and it shows as copy of Indy pre-season.

Thanks denilson.

Thanks Rees.

We're about ready to race! Taking two more qualifiers and we should be good to go.

Got your spot covered Mule, thanks 👍
