Apologies for the lack of activity - real life has been eating into my gaming time (priorities, how are you?) and a recent aquisition of Demon's Souls is consuming the bulk of my actual gaming time.

I have no idea how realistic my prospects are, but can I challenge Vompatti then? And, if so, when suits? Late Tuesday or Wednesday evening perhaps?

And as another question, are we racing without the braking zones? Because, well, I might struggle with that. If so though, I solemly vow to let you back in front if I rear-end you due to me mis-judging the breaking point. :p

Would the challengers of kemp please step up to the challenge and actually race?:sly:
I'm on the line here...:)

I have a private source that gave the insight that he is available most nights.👍

I'm one of them, but I have someone in line first. Have Kemp and that other driver (I forgot who was it) already raced?

If I've understood correctly, you are free to challenge me :) Unfortunately it seems that on this week I can't lock up a date. I don't know yet, I might have time or then again it's possible that I'm not even home, so I'm afraid that I can't make any promises for this week. Maybe next week, if you aren't on a hurry? (Biggles, jump to the next chapter and ignore the last phrase :D) And I also need to read the rules :p

What comes to braking zones, I understand that you would like to have them (I think I would need them too, since I've only really driven the 348 Challenge in this game) but for the development and improving the track knowledge it is very useful to drive without braking zones. At least personally I've noticed that when I drive with braking zones, I won't learn the track or the car at all, I only follow the lines. But we can discuss and agree on terms later.

I know but I think Mr.Bigglesecclestonemoses should set a valid limitation(say 8 days) for challenges to be carried out or else it packs the whole thing.
If in the 8 days after the challenger issues the challenge he doesn't become available to race the challenge others could issue a new challenge and the previous had to be renewed, just my 2 cents...

In order to keep this moving, everybody must make an effort to complete the challenges as soon as possible. I agree: if a challenge is not made & completed within a week, it should be opened up to other challenges.

I am waiting for a challenge from someone below me ...

Definitely NO BRAKING ZONES. The whole point is to be obliged to race a car that you don't know the exact braking points for, leaving you driving more by "feel". The lap times will most likely not be all that fast, but it's fun to struggle more intuitively with the performance characteristics of the car, because you haven't learnt the braking points by repetition. I think t also forces you to drive more cautiously i.e. realistically. No braking zones obviously puts those without a good knowledge of the tracks at even more of a disadvantage. So, they will end up at the bottom of the ladder until they increase their experience - that's the way it should be.

I would but I guess it would be more logical for me to challenge someone else now,to involve more players in the party, but Manny is absent(hope everything is alright) and I'm waiting on Jeff's/Mário and Kemp/wanabm3 or kemp/bullie to issue my challenge. But if by Sunday these challenges aren't worked out I guess we are going to meet again old man and I choose the weapon this time,no risotto assists allowed this time, though! :p:D;)

You were faster than me on this one:sly:

24.06 :
Alright! ...... " Now Let's Get it on!"

lol I'll send you a pm tonight to arrange everything
Almost one week waiting...

Wnabm3, I will be available to race this week on wednesday and thursday between 18:00 and 23:00 GMT (not later cause working soon the day after...).

On friday, I will only practice at Hockenheim for the saturday 355ch races.

After that, due to the "One week limit" rule agreed by Biggles, and Bullie waiting to challenge me, if we haven't race our challenge you can consider that your chance is over to challenge me! For the moment...!:sly:

I'm happy with the logic behind not having braking zones. Its a better test of our abilities and, who knows, I might learn the tracks a bit better.

As for the difficulties organising a time vompatti, I'm not in any real hurry here so we can leave it till next week if you prefer. Is vompatti also your PSN name? Mine is PhanTomI by the way. I just realised I never posted it in this thread before now...

I will fork over my racing challenge due to the fact that I am almost overwhelmed with the daunting task of moving acrossed the country to San Diego.....
I have been packing and making arrangements like a mad man.... lol
So I won't " Hold Up" the racing. This whole new job and moving came about rather quickly and I thought I would have a bit more time to race.

Sorry for the inconvenience

I have only one thing to say...Old Town Mexican Cafe @ 2489 San Diego Avenue (Old Town San Diego). They make the tortillas fresh on premises and the Carnitas are to die for!

Oh, and congratulations on the new job! (Sorry, that's two things). :D

As far as I'm aware, only arvore & myself have posted a result. I'm open to a challenge ... IF you've got the nerve! :scared:

You're tempting me old man:p
I was trying to avoid repeating our challenge(inverted positions this time:) ) but since I can only challenge :Mário(He and Jeff are playing the Portugal/Ivory Coast movie from the World Cup seeing who is more afraid than the other:p :D ) Kemp who has unfinished business with Bullie(reproducing the Iberian duel:sly: )Manny who disappeared:nervous: or You...and since you have such a big mouth and I won't be able to kick your but on Saturday and apparently we're both looking for some action:sly: :

I CHALLENGE BIGGLES

if You choose to accept it I would suggest Jeff's usual schedule on Sunday although I'm not completely sure I will be available in which case we can do it during the week:tup:

It's a good idea to keep some statistics on the league, even just win/lose for each user, like:

player1 4/1
player2 3/1
player3 1/2

It would be nice to be able to see the kind of activity among other players by looking at the board. At the moment it's hard to see what's happening.

Ok everyone above me is involved in a challenge except fingers&thumbs so i'll throw down the gauntlet fully expecting to get my ass handed to me! :nervous:

OK. I don't think I can make it mid-afternoon - it would have to be later like last time we raced, if that's possible for you.

Ok,Peter no worries tell me when You're available and we arrange it by pm:tup:

You can have it from me.
We desided on the fxx,and with alan starting in pole on all tracks(dispite random pole)
I never had the lead in any of our races. He won all 5 with around 5 sec(give or take).
So clearly he deserve the top spot.

That's not really fair - we all know Alan drives an FXX IRL. ;)

Friend request sent out to you vompatti.

I also took the opportunity to test myself ingame with all of the assists off, no racing line, manual gears, the works. I... struggled somewhat. Although the game looks a lot better without the racing line overshadowing everything.

Bit more practice required, I feel.

Ok whens a good time for you? I'm usually around evenings after 9pm.
Friend request sent.

Just posting to let You guys know that I let the oldman win again...:p

Now seriously this time things where even more exciting than last time:

As Challenger I suggested the wonderful and astonishing beautiful 330 p4:

I chose Monza;Hockenheimring and Silverstone GP wet...
Peter went for Spa and Riviera.
We also did a 5 lap warm up at Nuburgring.

The first race was very close and the drafting that this track allowed determined several changes in the lead:tup: but then at lap 3 biggles made a mistake at Ascari and that's all it takes to loose a race in these 5 laps duels:)
After we went to Riviera that was the more unleveled race... the Mandolin player completely kicked my a$$ in this combo:grumpy:
I asked for a rematch at Hockenheim because it was a question of Honor to me to beat him in this track with the difference of practice we had in it...and after a very competitive race I've managed to do it.:dopey:
Then we went for Francorchamps and it was again a very close race with the lead changing hand a couple of times, until lap 4 when after drafting him at the Kemmel Straight and overtaking him in the breaking zone I failed the breaking and took an excursion to the grass:indiff: ...again this mistake gave Peter the win(although he his faster than me at this track)
So we had the Grand Finale where the winner would take it all,in a very rainy Silverstone Bridge Circuit.Things started pretty well for me has biggles made a bad start and by the end of lap one I had a 6 second gap...I really thought I had it so took it easy(to damn easy) in the 3 and 4th lap entering lap 5 I had a comfortable 3 seconds gap and I really thought I had it...but then my usual stupid mistakes knocked on my door and I visited the grass at Abbey and lost it:banghead: :dunce: right at the end.It was a deserved win since our ancient never gave up and pushed really hard to get me...
I will get You next time Grandpa:sly::trouble:;)
