Let it go, get back on topic. :)

I actually made a trip to the Scion dealer yesterday and had a seat in the FRS. My impression of the car is getting closer to complete though I still need to drive it for any kind of final judgement.

That said, anyone talking like this car will not be able to fit a turbo up front is either telling a lie or doesn't know jack.
The engine bay of the FRS has more room than I ever expected, far more room than the K20 had in the Civic Si bay and probably just as much as my EJ257 in the Sti. Really leaves me wanting to see the EJ207 in the BRZ. 👍

What do you think about the interior in person? My brother felt that it felt too cheap at the price point, and perhaps lacking in the gizmos, but I reminded him this car is about the drive more than the creature comforts.

-> Someone just shared his BRZ at Inside Line's readers blog.

The scion Frs is one of the most beautiful cars ive ever seen in person. I cant wait till tuners get there hands on them and put some nice body kits and rims. Its too cheap to be a dream car, but i would sell my left leg for it.

I read reviews that said the BRZ is nice, but the FR-S is a lot tighter in the turns and feels MUCH better. I generally don't believe reviews, so ill have to pretend i wanna buy one so i can test drive it.

I kinda like it, just that bubble towards the rear is odd (though probably for a future side exhaust).

He needs to talk a lot less. Show that he can actually drive the thing.
Wet, windy roads and never broke traction once. Maybe it's just me but I wanted to see his reaction when the rear stepped out on him. It somehow validates a driver/reviewer for me. Strange, I know.

When I saw those hairpins I went, "Irohazaka!"

Later on, turns out I was right. :D

It's like an Initial D kid's dream come true.

Nah, I agree with you. Was really hoping to see him get a bit sideways on all those perfect, smooth, empty downhill hairpins, but maybe I've been watching too much Chris Harris...

Well I'm the proud new owner of a Hankook tire that came off Ken Gushi's FRS, unfortunately I'm not the owner of an actual FRS thought lol. I must say FD puts on a spectacular show.

I dont wanna start a new thread for this but ,

Would you guys rather the Suburu BRZ or the Scion FRS (or even the Toyota 86)?

I drive an Scion XD for a daily driver and kids i know that are lame drive Suburus. My answer is obvious, i also read that the suburu is a tick faster, but the Scion handles MUCH better. I could be wrong tho.

PIC DUMP ALERT -> Toyota Motor Philippines is been doing a lot of activities on its JDM w/ LHD version of its 86 coupe. Along with its Pinoy debut of its TRD kit:

^ Funny, the FR-S had its spare tire well covered but not the 86!? Is this a JDM thing?

:dunce:

-> Plus, using a Euro-spec license plate on a JDM/US-spec plate holder is just wrong. Toyota Pinas should've just used the GT86's plate holder from Europe. :indiff:

The Toyota, since that's the one available in the UK. The Subaru doesn't appeal to me - no Subaru has since the 22b.

I was supposed to be there. Couldn't go due to family matters. Shame. :(

^ I'd pick the Subaru, most of the work was done by the "Ota Boyz". I give credit to the guys who engineered it:

-> Hey, hey! I drive Subaru's, and I'm not lame! In fact if I ever get a BRZ it would be my 4th Subie! :D
