WINNAR! And a Too Low For Fat Hoes out the front lip.

But something just popped into my head while thinking about the hp figure and why it didn't get UEL headers. Subaru dynos their cars by the crank, not power to the wheels. Their 250hp wrx realy puts out around 220hp. Did this get dyno'd by the crank or the wheels? If it realy puts out around 170hp and if the torque figure drops with that also, I'm sure a few simple upgrades could easily make up the power lost by adding UEL headers. CAI, exhaust, and an ecu tune for instance. Or just go balls out and throw a giant AMS turbo on it.

Yes, that's in the Toyota. It's gone from the Scion.
I'm pretty sure you're wrong, and this pic is from Scion (judging by the logo :) ).

Derp. lol. Well, anyhow, it's gone from the other pic. Must be an option-- hopefully one available with the stick.

You don't see the cruise control onthe Scion because it on the steering wheel not the steering column . Because the wheel turned you don't see it.
You can see it here.

Crank. Every(normal) manufacturer releases crank HP not whp.
If this motor is like the 2zz, then getting power out of it while staying NA will not be that easy past a certain point. They probably already got a lot out of the motor.
Less efficient UEL headers to gain power? How does that work?
Yeah, let's put a giant turbo on a 2.0L and wait til redline for full boost. Weeeeeeeee.

The fact is getting much more power out of that engine isn't going to be fun. At all. Maybe 20 or 30 more at the crank through some bolt-ons. Any real gains are going to require some extra effort.

Ha! There it is! Thanks... didn't realize it was directly on the wheel itself. That's kind of strange.

That interior is hideous, it looks like it's out of a mid-90's GM product.

If I bought it, I would leave it totally as is. I think it's just about perfect for what it is. The power hungry are never satisfied...

I'm very excited about this car...can't wait to test drive one.

Funny enough, I'd take that over my sister's mid-90's GM product.. As would you.

I dunno on that interior. I feel like there is going to be some cheap plastic feel going on. And some of the layout.

But I must ask Joey, how much time have you spent in that Neon? The comparison isn't apt all.

Where did this Neon comparison come from?

I just said the interior on the Subaru Toyota thing is hideous. Big clunky radio, big clunky knobs, a red digital clock (oooooooo just like my clock radio from the 80's) and what appears to be a see of cheap materials, including what the seats are made out of.

For a cheap price point it the interior isnt too bad IMO I guess it really depends on what the true price is when it comes out. alot of cars are getting much better interior. Example current Gen ford Focus.

It's an N/A 2.0 liter 4 cylinder. What more are you guys expecting? It's not a Honda.

Disagree.

Maybe not 90's GM, but I have to agree with a lot of this. I'm not keen on the interior. It reminds me of what people did with the 90's Celicas.

Edit: Especially those materials and color inserts.

I'm gonna reserve judgement on the interior until I get to see/feel it in January. In general I don't expect much from Subaru interiors these days, so if it's on par with what I have in my current Subie or '12 Impreza, I'm gonna be happy.

Oh, I'm not expecting much more. I was just reiterating that making much out of it isn't going to be cheap or easy. Kind of like how the Honda F20.

Though it should be a good amount for that weight and the rest of the figures.

"GT 86 development engineer Yoshi Sasaki says the GT 86 is for those who are bored with cars that are too powerful with their turbo engines, have too much grip with their huge tyres and four-wheel drive, cost too much and don't let the driver do enough. 'A fun car,' he says, 'is a car that you control."

I don't think they could make a more perfect car for me.

Most car are getting worse interiors. They are starting to look cheap and look all the same.

I Disagree depends on your price point and the car. Several manufacturers have stepped up there interior in the compact /subcompact arena
Subaru is one in the new impreza, Ford in the new focus at least offers better interior, Nissan in the new versa sedan is an improvement, even the chevy cruze is a step in the right direction with the optional leather. As well with the newer versions of the mustang GT and 370 z are vastly better than the 350z and old mustang gt(4.6).

Also notice how much more expensive cars have gotten? Even 24k is a steal.

Good point lololol who would of thought a fully loaded focus could cost 26 grand lol.

It may look bettter but most manufacturers have the same interior in all their cars. And just add a few different things does not change any thing. If you look at car as recent as the 90s have all different interior for thier cars.

Agree, aside from the rpm, speedo, fuel, ect ect. gauges. Nice looking interior. But the dials telling me what's important are a bit boring for my taste.

Over here, we're not getting the Scion, but the Toyota/Subaru are expected to be priced around or just over 40k euro. Yep, that's 53k USD. Damn' Dutch taxes! :yuck:

For the power hungry: apparently Toyota Racing Development (Dutch article) is working on a supercharged version of the GT86 with around 250HP.

I dearly hope you are joking. 53k USD for this thing is a bit out of hand. You'd have to be mentally ill to buy it. I highly doubt this is true.
