Well, I took the car around Laguna Seca for a dozen laps. Car is still handling nice for me.

I got in the groove on that track. Started out with lap times around 1:44.xxx and had a revelation about when to downshift when braking. And my times dropped to 1:40.xxx then down to 1:38.xxx and so close to 1:37.9xx but it I missed one of my last turns.

So Fezz, you better watch out. I saw your lap time for Laguna and you aren't too far ahead of me. I am catching up quick!!

I'm thinking of leaving pre season testing open for another 2 weeks, after which I will start pre season practice on Saturday 7th January, and starting the actual series at the start of February, does this suit everyone?
 
sooner the better for me fezz, the car is great to drive. I will say in the practice race I had with you there wes a lot of corner cutting and running wide to get a faster exit. I am hoping this will be closely monitered when the racing gets underway.

Absolutely, I fear I was cutting the odd corner as the car seemed to slow down quicker online than it does in free run.

I will ask that everyone be vigilant in reporting corner cutting and make me aware of who and I will take a look at the replay and take the appropriate action.

I also have a spare paint, its the exact same one used in the race of champions if anyone wants it
 
Just the base livery, then the setup will be on my storefront in about 2 weeks for download

Hey, if people are going to be watching corners, you're going to be at it all day with me. hahaha, i seriously don't do it on purpose but the occasional wheel slips into the dirt. Not that I am expecting to place other than the bottom but I'm just saying.

On another note, anyone up for racing tonight? Or sometime tomorrow? I finally have a Saturday off work and nothing to do....
 
I (stupidly) just realized this is for the DLC VW, which I don't have. Sorry about that, can I still race in the Scirocco GT?

I realized my mistake when I tried to receive the livery you sent and it said I needed the DLC.

The Scirocco R was the free car in the November pack. Just download it (no cost) and you're still able to race.

I got the Scirocco. I customized the livery on it to be Gran Turismo 5 sponsored :mischievous:
 
1 Week of Setup testing left guys, then the Final Revision of the setup will be on my storefront to download and we can start pre season practice :D
 
Question: what happens if I can't make a race (or more)? Do I get DQ'd or does it not matter if I can't manage to show?
 
What usually works Fezz is to allow people a certain number of dropped rounds. So if you're doing 11 races, I'd suggest allowing 3 dropped rounds so at the end of the series, only your best 8 finishes count toward the championship.
