Haven't tried this set of seasonal events yet, but on paper they look pretty good. The only thing I'd like to change is the xp reward, making it somewhat proportional to your level would be better IMO.
 
I am very exited to take my legally purchased F1 2010 to the track instead of practicing with it on random circuits with no competition.

I don't care about the low rewards anymore. Just have fun with driving the cars I love... *peace*

Do you get an xp / cr bonus for completing all the races in a certain event fo example the FF event? Because the xp / cr for the single races are pretty disappointing?

nope, you do not get a completion for all reward. but really, the reward is not the point here.. yet so few seem to get that. But they do pay 3-4 times what other a-spec races of these caliber do.. so look on the bright side for a change :)
 
Wtf, is this some kind of a joke? First PD gives everyone a free passage to level 30, then these events that are only meaningful to someone at level 10.
 
This update raises an important question - are time trial and drift trial seasonals done forever? What about (insert car) at (insert track) seasonals where you start like 20 seconds behind and have to pass as many cars as you can in a certain amount of laps?

If those are gone, this is truly a sad day.

If the complaints become out of hand, then maybe.
That's not the point, People should stop complaining about the events. Be thankful that there are some.

They outdo themselves and give us 12 events

Add "suggestions" for suitable cars which placates both camps of for or against restrictions

They give you a reason to use your ferrari formula 1 car

They make the events repeatable for credits and xp(i for one can see myself repeating the f1 race a lot, not for grinding, which iv never done(nor really had too) but for the fun of it.

Yet even with all that people quickly start complaining, i mean the events have only been live for about 4 hours and at least every second post on this thread is negative.............just cant win

I for one poly thank you for your continuing efforts with gran turismo 5
 
I msut admit, I am firmly in the half of people who just don't get what the point of the new seasonal events are.

I thought that Polyphony released the original seasonal events to give you a once a week chance to make some money, and gain some experience so that you can level up and/or get the cars you wanted.

What we have now, is extra A-spec races, but with no prize cars.

And I'm not sure if I can be bothered spending upwards of 5 hours grinding Indianapolis to buy a Ferrari F1 car, to get no reward for the races you do in it!

polyphony needs to re-focus their attention to what is important : fixing their game. NOT GT ANYWHERE.

I msut admit, I am firmly in the half of people who just don't get what the point of the new seasonal events are.

What the deuce! Well you said it yourself, its just extra a-spec races, no prize cars,, low pay outs.. save your money, spend it on something you want ;) but those F1 races sure are a lot of fun.. lol

Because it seems that everytime they take one step forward, they also take one step back. The F1 races are fun, but the XP is crap.

i don't wanna grind for 3 months just to get at level 40,...without even a reward.
waiting 3 weeks now to get level up 33
I've grinded to much already even with b-spec,...its just like hitting a wall!!
this game is losing my interest fast.
It just fails,...I play gt sins the first one but i think this one is just ridiculous.
i need 2 mil of xp points to get me level up but getting 3k for each race.

I left my ps3 on for one night,....but it made me feel stupid and pathetic.
to gain points this way witch isn't any fun to me but more frustrating.

I personal could care less for GT Anywhere, but in what aspect is b-spec not part of the game? This is a feature they had nearly complete before the game was pushed early to launch.. So they are choosing to finish this part of the game. If you want to dictate how they choose to do their development.. well i hope you have some really deep pockets. heh

yay! your loss of interest is what the majority of us are hoping for, then we wont have to read stuff like this all the time!
 
This is cool ... some variations to the seasonals is a very good addition :)

And finally I now feel I didn't waste 10 million on that Ferrari F1 a couple of weeks ago :D

Now I can see all our experiences are much much more different that all previous GT series. No matter what negative comes up, the positive side of GT 5 will never be outnumbered, unless a new version will come out.
Congratulations PD for a job well done. I will always keep on racing..........Cheers

I cannot be alone in thinkng that either you are a PD fanboy or like PD have never played the game in any depth and do not understand GT5s customers concerns.

I always enjoy new events but the XP is a minor drop in the ocean compared to what I need to open up my next event. They will not win until they start addressing the major concerns that people have with the game.

All they've got to do is perfect 4 things: (number of) cars,tracks,damage and A.I and GT5 would be brilliant.

It seems to me, that almost half the people (=spoilt brats) in this forum only wants everything for free, and in no time to boot. Are you just one of them, or what is actually wrong with GT5?

When a game to a certain price can be finished off during one weekend and another to the same price gives you joy and challenges for months maybe years I definately choose the latter ...

Like you I also wonder what is so wrong with GT5 ... :dunce:

Just a second. What is the overall amount of XP for all 3 F1 races?

I heard around 90000XP.

It seems more than enough. Those are 10 laps races, they're not boring as WindGrind and they represent a nice challenge for driving and making XP progress.

What is wrong with that?

Brilliant!!!!! So because i give the company some credit for supporting their game i become a fanboy, brilliant mate just brilliant

Oh and i forgot, just because im not complaining about every second thing i come across in the game iv never played GT5 in depth nor understand the complaints in the game.

Just for info im a-spec 34 and b-spec 27 and owned and played and nearly completed gt 1,2,3,4, prolouge and 5. Im fairly sure i could be called a Gran Turismo veteran

Im very well aware of the problems with this game, doesnt mean i cant appreciate the companys efforts to give the game some extra life, does it?

Yes that may have been a bit childish, but the hour is late. And i've read too many post similar to yours to really care. If you don't like it, thats fine, go enjoy your bad company or something lol.

I don't consider it grinding. I enjoy playing the game. I don't max out my cars and overpower every race to make it boring and easy for me to get credits. I'm in no rush to reach level 40, it will happen when it happens.

And as far as the ylod.. that's just a unfortunate fluke that happens to a small few. my ps3 has been on since GT5 was launched, even when i'm away, its always ready for me to return and sit at my wheel.. and its a older 80gb fat model, i have no issues with it at all.

I may be a "noob" to GTplanet, and you must be judging people solely by their membership numbers, but Im no noob to the game, and Ive been actively participating on boards for more than 5 years, but I have never met so many spoilt brat comments anywhere as here and now.

The game is, as every other game, constantly evolving, and needs constructive critiscisme from its users to do so, but that is not what PD is getting from GTplanet.

Hopefully the spoilt brat community will soon find another game they can avoid in-depth contact with, so the discussions here eventually will mature.

Theres a lot of great stuff to be learned by the tuning and online community here, this game is a longterm thing!
