No mate i'm not in a hurry to get to 40.
I would just like to be able to play the game and buy the cars i want without sitting there on the same track doing the same race over and over.
My girlfriend thinks i'm bonkers, she says
"you only ever race this track, a circle, round and round, this game is stupid".

If you have a Job and a girlfiend/family, PD will take this off you. you will lose your job and your girlfriend if you play the game how they want you to.

if your job or love life is in danger because of your game play time, you should really reconsider what your priorities are..

Just because you see a car and "want it now" does not mean you should sit there and do this so called grind all day.. This isn't a game that is meant to be completed in 20-40 hours like the majority of other games. It's meant to race, and Have fun, Long time..

If you are sick of the grind you could always dupe and hit up the marketplace, I did it for two weeks straight and now have nearly every car I want, now I only race the races that I enjoy, it makes the game much more fun and as a bonus my mrs doesn't think the game is stupid she actually has a go every now and then.

This is awsome been waiting for the events. Sucks it had to come out and i havta work, cant wait to check dis out when i get hone in 4 hours. Very glad theres more events, but sad at the weak cash payouts. How do ppl get enuffcash to splurge on an f1 car. Lucky i have 2 level 24 tickets saved up. Have fun ppls.

I suppose thats why I am angry that they have changed these events, because in the short time I get to play I could earn decent cash to spend.
now I have to go round in circles again when I do play it.

Well thats understandable if you did that in the Ferrari race but I guarantee
you there is fun to be had by limiting your own car in the rest of them, I'm up to my third try of Rome Circuit now and I have slowly been upping the power till I'm close to winning.
This for me is what the seasonals were about all along, taking go after go until you win not just beating the race for the sake of beating it.

I like the new format, for the true gt5 fan thats not bothered by level etc its great as you basically now get a new "expansion pack of real races" every couple of weeks, solving the main issue of too little races to keep you occupied

I'm level 31 and do not care if it takes years to get to level 40, by that time I would have done hundreds of new races and enjoyed the game as it was supposed to be

PS. Any restrictions this time around?

It took me 3 minutes to realize that they are pointless (I've done the 1st one and after receiving a "jackpot" worth 16k and a "massive" 3k of experience...), I decided not to bother with those.

And enough of the "true GT fan" and "I've been a fan since the beginning", the leveling system is a MAJOR step back and the grinding adds "artificial longevity" to the game, nothing more.

I can't say i don't miss my easy way to get credits, i was really looking forward to another 3 or 4 mil to play around with. I'm just thankful that we are in the day and age where new content can be dynamically added in for us, and with out a patch even.. to me that surely is a great thing. A far step from the old ps1/ps2 days of getting my GT fix in

Do you do b-spec at all? if not I highly recommend it.. winning or loosing you still get credits, and by the time you get b-spec level to 23, you can let it do that so called grind on its own.. the race takes about 15-17 minutes to complete. Which sure.. if your sitting there watching it seems long, but if your actually going on with your life, 15min goes by really fast put that $300+ ps3 to work for you while your watching tv or taking care of things around the house, flip over to the game during commercials and click X a few times to restart the race, easy money

I have both and seriously cant answer this straight out. I believe the F10 is faster but harder to drive. F2007 runs on rails though.

I'm with you, the new seasonal events are pointless! I can't believe I was looking forward for these to come out... I'm stuck on level 34 and it looks like I'm going to be there for a long time... driving around in circles. They should have called this game GT(indianapolis)500 👎

I believe they did say the high $$$ and XP rewards would only be through January to get people "caught up".

These events sound like a blast, and I could care less that they money and points are not that high, but it doesn't look like I will get to do the Ferrari races before they go away, since I have been blowing my $$$ on silly cars and upgrades.

F2007, wider front tires, better aero and i think it has more power, also F2007 won Raikenenn (sorry if mispelled) his Drivers Championship, buy the F2007.

What i don't get.. You complain about being level 34 and being there for a long time, but your doing this so called grind on the race that is known for its credit payout, not its exp.. run a different race if you want to level up faster.. lol

Unfortunately, I ran the FR in my LFA (not even completely maxed) and won way too easily). I like that we can do them again and still get the weaker Cr and XP again, so will probably use something quite a bit more tame redoing it (and likewise for the rest), probably keeping to Sport Softs

But since you can repeat them it kind of balances out.

Don't buy the car for the event, buy it because you like the car.. If you don't want it, don't buy it. As you've clearly realized, your not missing anything great. Just some fun racing in insanely fast cars..

Yep, I get that too... Well, no, actually I usually B-Spec grind instead and I get "What's the point of playing it if it plays itself? That's just too lazy". If only she knew the alternatives and/or how expensive some cars are!

That said, I wouldn't mind if they carried on these special events but made them more varied instead of duplicating events already in the game; there's already an FF and FR set of races. Some one-model or one-make races would be great, as would a GT 300 race, a WRC race and so on. I bet the next set are NA, Turbo, MR and RR cars or something boring like that.

Finally have an excuse to try the 300hp Cougar XR-7 in the FR race. This car's pretty fun actually! Smoked everyone in the first race... need more work on the 2nd.

Epic fail by PD again IMO. I need a few million to buy a F1 so I can win 400k, thanks. But at least I get to run the Sunday Cup again at level 31. All of these events are already in the game for the most part, just go back and find them. People are saying to make them challenging by using a lesser car. We can do that to the races we already have as well. When these expire and fall off the page we won't even get to look at our shinny trophies either.

My favorite part wasn't even the money or XP, although that was nice, but I loved the vehicle specific events like the VW swimwagon(sp?) and events like that that made you sample cars you may not even think to try otherwise.

I'm still mostly pleased with game but I see many shortcomings. I'm going to keep plugging away but I'm also not going to shy away from heaping praise or squirting tears where I believe they are warranted. I have a feeling the next update is going to solve many issues.

Apparently you have issues, your not complaining about the "game you purchased" your complaining about the new dynamic content that is added to the game after the fact..

It's not only about XP or credit income! Don't you want an F1? You would buy it some time anyway and now you have races for the car. If not then just don't get it and save the money for a car you really want to have...

What I will miss now is the specific cars on the events! I wouldn't know the SpecV '09 yet or some other great cars...
