Apparently you have issues, your not complaining about the "game you purchased" your complaining about the new dynamic content that is added to the game after the fact..

Seriously.. this hole my game i purchased isn't doing what i think it should.. Is like getting mad at some food company because the "product you purchased" made your farts stink..

lmao

Not sounding like a whinger, but I honestly would have preferred a bigger XP and Credit payout. I know it's now a lot more fair, but I really would have preferred the money :) The races now are like simply re-doing a spec beginners... I would have been happy, but you know... I don't own an F1 car :banghead:

NOOO, why didn´t they come online yesterday evening. Now i have to work 9 hours till i can drive the events :(

nice it´s so many races

Yes, but where did the money the developers are currently being paid with come from? It's not a product, but it is a service we paid for when we bought the game. They say it's free, and it is in that we don't have to pay extra, but as I said the money the developers are working for now did come from us... An appropriate metaphor would be something like the exhaust falling off your brand new, still warrantied car, and upon taking it to get repaired they just gave it a polish and didn't actually do what you asked for.

It is kind of annoying that PD seem to be able to change quite a lot in GT5, but still won't do what a lot of people really want. It kind of feels like they're intentionally holding back to add these things to GT6. That said, I don't know how much of what they've added since the release was already on the disc waiting to be unlocked, so whatever.

Only decent payout with Exp and Cr. is the Ferrari F1 race.

Seeing as I have about as much success with those as I have with the FGT (still not completed the series with that car) I think I will have fun by doing something else! I did briefly try tried Indy with the F2007 and was left in the dust (would be better if I could stay on the track perhaps) so Quit the game to preserve the lack of miles on the car and had a similar result with the F10 at Tokyo R246 and a Quit... definitely no fun as far as I am concerned,

I can see myself getting my gaming fun elsewhere with these seasonals and end up playng NFS:HP (or whatever) on the 360 while Bob grinds towards Lv 35 (two Indy 500's short of Lv 33 on B spec)! That will just leave me with trying to complete my car collection and have fun driving cars that I can handle and want to test out! I can't see myself grinding all the way to A spec Lv 40 (currently Lv 33).

Um.. Sony.. if you think PD gets direct funding from game sales, your sadly mistaken. They just get a small piece of that pie.

What i don't get.. You complain about being level 34 and being there for a long time, but your doing this so called grind on the race that is known for its credit payout, not its exp.. run a different race if you want to level up faster.. lol

thanks for the tip but i said i WILL be at level 34 for a long time not that i HAVE BEEN... and I'm yes that TRACK is known for paying out fast credits but the RACES i was talking about use the same track and payout some of the most EXP per min. dreamcar 1st race is aroung 1780 pts per min and endurance #28 is about 1785 and yes they are all on the oval- sorry for not being clear about that, but most people in my sit. would have known. Hey, at least you got to laugh out loud!

You are not complaining about a game you paid for you are complaining about the free updates that are being provided to you.

It all falls under the general complaint of PD's terribleness, who is funded by the sale of their game. You however are just irked by words from a dude about a game. How dare I not feel as you do about something? I am thankful for the many here that try to guide me down the correct path towards righteousness.

I'd buy again if I had to do it over but that doesn't mean I have to love everything about it and defend it's good name to all creatures big and small. I just get so amazed with this forums ability to judge a persons opinion as correct or incorrect, as if it were being graded like a test.

If you like it, just say so. Your opinion is a valid as mine or anyone else's.

I'd hate to talk religion or politics in this place :)

I think these events look interesting. PD just added about 2 hours gameplay (If you only do them once and win first time!). For free!

It will give me a break from doing the DCC and Polyphony Championships over and over again. These events will give me a real reason to drive some of the cars that cannot win those championships.

So, what, Sony just grows the money on trees, or do you think that Sony only broke even on GT5? Of course not, they made a whole stack of money, therefore the money they are paid, whether directly or not, comes from selling games. I can't see Sony continuing to pay PD if GT5 was a huge failure.

I have neither agreed with you or disagreed with you with about anything, I was just pointing out that you are complaining about something that you get for free that PD have absolutely no obligation whatsoever to give you.

As far as I can tell (from other threads and news) they know what events people are racing. So next time release say 4 old style seasonals and 8 new, that will tell you what people are interested in. If they keep coming back to the new style keep it up, if it's raced once then it isn't what people are after they are just doing it for the sake of doing it.

Just to clarify i wasn't irked at all about his post. That just made me have one of the most amusing times i have had on this site in a long while. And that was my opinion on his statement, just as you shared your opinion on mine ;)
I for one don't see all this so called terribleness.. sure i would love to have more premium cars, or at least change wheels on my standards, but having played through the game twice (yes twice, due to loosing save game file to a lock up, which i didn't feel the need to complain about since it was a moot point) I myself, feel all in all it is a solid game.

GT5 is the BEST driving simulator, nothing comes close to it, but it's the WORST racing simulator, AI, no regulations, no penalties...

Yet, I play it A LOT, it's physics are awesome, and I really mean AWESOME.

They have the obligation to the very moment they advertised it.

My post was directed towards the whole "fanboy vs. disgruntled customer" battle that goes on here non stop. I have found myself agreeing with either side depending on the issue at hand. On this issue I'm on the "free crap sandwiches still taste like crap" side, although I cleaned my plate, lol. I'll refrain from going back for seconds on the 3 amateur race series they added but I still need a F1 car to finish the last one, which I'm really looking forward to and thankful for. Sucks that you only win 400k for buying a multimillion $$ car though. If it is half as good as the FGT series then it will still be worth it.

They know they have to give us something because they know it has issues and we are under no obligation to buy GT6. I see that they are trying and that give me hope.

lol.. Sony would pay PD to polish a turd.. after all they do have a near 15year relationship for creating the best racing games on any game console. Not to say other racing games don't hold their weight, but PD has always set the bar.
And lets face it, Sony definitely pushed this games release.. so if you want to get mad at someone get mad at Sony lol, PD will continue to try and please us as long as they can.

That Ferrari challenge is going to be real interesting, starting in 12th place? Lotsa luck with that puppy  I guess the bright side is that if you do have an F10 (I do)or F2007, you can finally race and get your 🤬 ripped royally, unless you are really good :) . I am going to try and have fun with this one by repeating to myself "winning isn't everything" winning isn't ev_ _ _ _ as I lose , repeatedly.

Them new Ferrari F1 seasonal events are intense! Think that was the best wheel to wheel racing I've had in GT5 so far, I won Nurburgring but the AI was so much fun!

Seriously.. this whole "My game I purchased isn't doing what i think it should.. It's like getting mad at some food company because the product you purchased made your farts stink."

reads much easier that way

My wife gets mad when i eat White Castles :)

Really like the hybrid restrictions policy (drive train & hp), firm enough w/o making the whole thing too tedious.

Only minor downer for me is the Ferrari Formula One part: I'm nowhere near that kind of cashflow now. And buying that car for a few races only, not sure I wanna do that. Oh well...

Online dealership is sweet, though. Now I can buy the last RUF I needed to complete my collection, and most of all....ESCUDO time!! :D
