I just came 2nd to last on a standard car, cant use my pimped out mini, so what settings can you change to win this?

PS Any tips to complete the seasonal events much appreciated :)

What are seasonal events? I don't know because i always get a server error when i keep my psn logged in while running the game

The real key(s) to the seasonal events is in the suspension tuning and the transmission. Since you're severely limited with regards to power, weight, and tires, you have to play around with the suspension settings and the gearing to get things set up just right.

For instance, on the challenge on the Indy Road Course with the muscle cars, I was sucking wind until I raised the top speed (fully customizable transmission with top speed set to 149mph) for the straights, and dropped and stiffened the suspension for the corners. The second time running it, I won by 12.58 seconds.

Still having hell with the little Fiat 500 on the Tsukuba Course, though. Damned Audi A2 keeps beating me by 4.3 seconds. :(

Stiffen up the suspension (front-drive cars like stiffer rear settings - more rear anti-roll, etc.), figure out the top speeds you're hitting on that course and set the top end a little higher than that, so it will help with your acceleration.

HUH the mini was the one race I won easily had to remove a cat pipe to make requirements but the car did fine, also the race tranny set just above top speed helps gain alot on the backside up hill. Got the mustang within a bumper at Laguna seca and the RX-7 is going to kill me still over 8 sec back and in 2nd place.
Anyone elso notice the prize amounts are very random I got second on the Laguna race first crack at it and received 280,000 im not complaning but wierd , on other events got a lot for a lower place finish.

I believe its because the prizes stack up, 6th+5th+4th+etc...

for the RX-7, with they anti-slip on, i been able to be only 7 sec behind lead car... however I think the RX-7 understeer enourmously with no front end bite, but then again its a small tight corners.

Other trick with that Mini race is to keep your speed up in the corners, like on the Fiat race. If you slow down too much its hard as hell to win.

All I needed to do for first place was buy new Mini Cooper S '07 and upgrade with the Sports suspension kit, twin plate clutch, and semi-race flywheel. Everything else was bone stock and untweaked, hit the rumble strips, cut the track at one or two spots, draft, and hold your pace and you can overtake the last two just before the end of the fifth lap.
