It's a bit of a mis-step from PD allowing this irregularity. The seasonals used to be a great way of keeping people playing GT5 - and talking about it, saying how good it was, and getting more people to buy it. If these seasonals aren't regular as clockwork, people are going to stop checking because they'll be too busy playing TDU2.

In short: "And you get new events every week" is a great selling point, but "You usually get new events every week but they're tailing off now so I don't know how long that's going to last" isn't at all.

I really enjoy the game, and I think it has a lot more positive aspects about it than bad, so I've really tried to not speak negatively about it.

However, not updating the OCD is really poor, in my opinion. Especially if we have to rely on it even more now than before, with the new restrictions on trading hard to find LM cars. Hopefully whenever they do get around to updating the OCD, they will cut out all of the "same old same old" stuff that was added last week, and is constantly choking my UCD already. 👎

So yet again, the new seasonals are late/missing? What with that and the ridiculous 1,000,000 limit on gift cars, I think a lot of people will start to abandon this game now.

For real. Those things are a blast to drive.

I would like some of the seasonals to include races like the b-spec remote races. You get a random car and you race other cars in it's class. That sounds like a blast and a challenge.

I hope the next seasonal event update includes go kart racing, it's been ages since I went go kart racing in GT5! I'm missing it.

You could always race with your friends in karts. I remember having loads of fun around Monaco with two friends in those - me, I'm waiting for rally, so that's what I'll be doing until the Seasonals include some 4WD fun off the tarmac.

Another thing... if you noticed after update 1.06 that the OCD and the number of seasonals were expanded. I just wonder if it is possible that by increasing the amount of seasonals available, that they may be changing these on a less frequent basis, say fortnightly now. OK, an announcement might have helped, but PD do sure have a habit of springing surprises on us.

But then again they may just have decided to concentrate on the latest update this week (which has proved to be a popular talking point ) and then resume 'normal service' which would totally disprove my theory above...

You forgot to mention it says +/- a day. He did update the whole game twice now in the past month. I think you need to lay off Kaz and PD, they do what they do. Who cares if they don't cater to our every desire.

This. It's hard not to see that the game lacks content, the seasonal events for which we should be sooo grateful about are nothing but a filler to keeps us busy and when they don't even add that....well, figure it out yourselves.

OK, granted that PD aren't exactly the best at providing up to date information before changing online content and updates,etc... I'll give you that.

But seriously, this concerns free online extra content (for those lucky enough to have decent internet connections) that they are under no obligation to provide (they could have just stopped at providing the disc), that we are under no obligation to use or participate in... oh the shame of it! They lied to us!! Maybe I should report these 'mavericks' to the trading standards office!

unless its changed since the last set of bonus races, you cant repeat them if you get 1st place..

i for one would prefer more bonus events and more than the 2 lots they started off with when they first added theses events , apart from adding the drivetrain events this time round, they still have about 2 lots for drift and time trial and dont know about some people, ive tried them out once, neither reward you , well they probably do if you hit the top ranking(s), but thats a very tall order, so to me they seem more pointless...

dont get me wrong they can be fun, but thats all they are good for, least the other events can be fun and reward at the end of each race...

one thing i will add about the bonus races, they have made theses latest ones a lot easier where as the ones before it had more restrictions making the races more interesting(though frustrating too lol) and dont get me wrong ive enjoyed them all, but aside from more bonus events they should atleast make the next lot or lot after that a mix between the two 👍

I don't really know how you guy's can defend this. It's one thing if PD just decided not to make any free content. They have that right.

But it's a bit daft for them to boldly announce "ok these seasonal updates are going to come out every week now (officially) on this day +/- 24 hours" and then instantly start consistently being late.

It boggles the mind frankly. I'm not angry about it or anything silly, just stunned that they can be so incompetent. I'd be embarrassed frankly, but I have a healthy sense of shame.

Why not re-do the A-Spec races? They were fun the first time around, right?

I have been trying new cars, both in A Spec and the Non-Bonus Seasonals. All pay for a win, and experiencing different cars is fun. Another one that is a lot of fun is the Arcade Mode. No prize money though.

Just have to decide what you want out of the game. Prize money, fun driving, challenging races, etc. Once you answer that question it is easy to find a solution.

someone in this thread has already pointed it out that there are start and finish dates...

it still lists couple expired events, so im guessing the new ones are the replacements?

as much as i want the bonus races as they reward the most, i doubt regardless of whatever statement PD has made they will update the event before the expiry date, more so to the fact a lot of people wont either notice the events or havnt had the time early on take a stab at them...

That's not even slightly true. The 1.00 version on the disc is crippled. It has no online. Had they stopped at providing the disc, there would have been massive lawsuits for fraudulent advertising. Ditto providing the time trials online, they advertised leaderboards and so they HAD to provide leaderboards in some fashion.

There's any number of parts of the patches that they HAD to include because they were advertised parts of the game that weren't in the 1.00 release. I'd call that an obligation.
