As you all know, now with the Seasonal events, you can get to 20+ level in a heartbeat..
I worked hard for a month and saved up to buy a FGT when it comes up in the ucd. And now a friend of mine bought the game in in less then a week he's already bought a FGT!
He didn't even finish the a-spec professional events, and he'd already level 24 and got a FGT to win all the races I broke my head winning.
That's taking a part of his game's fun too, not knowing it should be harder to get level up and win "All star" races and such.

I know I shouldn't care how other people are playing their game, but he's a good friend and we're competitive and I DO care! :)

So in short, I think the seasonal events are way too easy if you can mod the car. And for such, they give way to much money and xp.

Now I made the 20's without the seasonal events but I am all for them. Considering in past installments you could win prize cars multiple times and so on, I like the extra pocket change and experience. As long as you are enjoying yourself playing the game it doesn't really matter who else has a FGT that they can't keep on the track without driving aids.

To be entirely honest I'm at the enduro and some of the harder special challenges and I've moved on to other games for the time being to see if they make any changes (to enduro I mean... save feature... so on) but I make sure to come back every week and run the season event.

A way for any driver, weak or strong, to get ahead. You just sound bitter to be honest.

The levels are meaningless you know. How well you drive is all that matters and only skill is where getting ahead has some meaning...

Ur bitter because we ain't all sad to sit i'n front the ps3 all day long some of us have gfs kids jobs and LIFES grow up dude and put your teddy back in your pram seasonal events keep the game fun

I'm 30, have a wife and a job.. I enjoy games that are challenging and that's why I waited 5 years for GT5.
If you think what seasonal even did is "keep the game fun״, go play Need For Speed, you'll have a blast.

Some of us don't have that much time to invest in this game I'm glad we have them.

If you don't have time to get ahead in the game, the way it was first intended, play in Arcade.
At first the Seasonals were hard but doable and the money was well earned. But that wasn't easy enough for someone, so now you can mod your balanced car to overpower the other cars.
Why PD just doesn't give 3,000,000 credit and 500,000 xp for free every week?

I'm glad PD added them and have them so you can enter modded cars. I'm already at 99% completion, I only have 3 events left to get gold on (Suzuka Vettel Challenge and the A-Spec 24h races). With all that out the way pretty much the only thing left to do is buy cars and I'm trying to buy every single one in the game. I'm not interested in doing it for the challenge, I'm just trying to rake up the credits to buy the cars I need. This makes it easy to do so and if you want a challenge, just enter the needed car as is.

In ways of a challenge I liked the old seasonals more. I still like them today because they give me the chance to increase my car collection without having to think "if I buy that one I can't afford the one I really need".

Are you afraid that your friend is better than you or something?
You can also use the XP and cash even at level 36.

Problem is not seasonal events, but the fact that the game is too short. Whats the point of 1000 cars when there is so few events...? Pd could crank the rank system up to 100 and double the number of events and it would feel more like a proper GT.

I can't believe the answers I'm getting from people who are supposed to be fans of GT in previos years..
This seasonal even thing is way too easy to take part in this game.
And it's a big part as it gives more reward than the hardest races in Extreme events for example.
But you all think it's fun and cool..
I'm done posting here.

Seasonal events help us all, and they've been around for aaages. So surely you have completed the same events he has. And you've done more work on the normal A and B spec races having had the game longer. So surely you have a lot more XP than him...if that matters.

I like seasonal events, because 1 hour doing seasonal events is the same as several hours spend grinding A spec. And I dont have several hours a week to dedicate to GT with kids and work etc

+1 to the OP

seriously, before the events were easy grinding to level 20 would take 2-3weeks

now my friends that have just brought this game are already 25 aspec in less than a week

Seasonal Events = A way for weak minds to cry about their ease. Love how dude told people to go play NFS. I think he probably needs to go play Pokemon, or maybe a RPG, since leveling up and collecting rewards seem to be his primary interest.

Worst thing these game companies ever did was start pandering to the likes of the OP who thinks he's obtained some sort of status symbol by the virtual cars he unlocks, or the ones who think the game needs more photomode junk, or any of this other stupid, nothing to do with racing, casual pleasing crap that gets stuffed into what would otherwise be GREAT racing games.

The hardest race in Extreme is what?

If you don't get my point (and I'm telling you, you didn't) don't reply.

Because then people like you will whine about it twice as much as you do right now. You know you will.

By the way, this has been discussed a gazillion time before. In the right sub-forum.

Any of them if you don't drive a beast overpowered car..
For you, it's the FGT championship.

It's not GT if you can overpower everyone!
And if you can get so much money from overpowering in the seasonal events, for me the game is much less GT now.
As I said, I'm sure the weaker drivers with "no time" are much happier now.
And as I also said: go play NFS.

No my friend.
In my opinion the current seasonal events are doing just that.
I'm whining as hard as I can here...

Don't let the door hit ya!

I do get your point, don't care if you don't think I do because you clearly don't see mine. So I will reply.

All this junk with your precious ridiculous grinding to get cars in a stupid economy and photomodes and bspec junk takes away from the racing. Imagine if they ditched just the fake economy, bspec and photomode what racing features could be put in the game. Custom tournament or leagues, car clubs, qualifying, proper racing rules, leaderboards. All of that would be huge improvements to the racing. But none of it is there because these developers decided long ago that evidently it's more profitable to pander to casuals than to make a bonafide, real racing game.

What do you mean for "me"?
The FGT race was a disappointment, and that's with a stock FGT.
I could drop to last and take first again in 3 laps.
