Senna content coming soon?

wat?
They said they were shooting for May. Let me guess, it's all a coincidence, right? They picked may from a hat and it has NOTHING to do with the anniversary.

My post was poorly worded. I responded to this earlier.

"Ok yes, they do mention that May is the anniversary of his death but they make no mention of releasing the content on the actual day. He even goes out of his way to give a broad release window to make sure people don't assume it's coming on the first."

Yes, it was confirmed to be paid-DLC when the Ayrton Senna content was announced.

The price is still unknown however.

Do you have a link to that? I'm not doubting that it will be paid-DLC I just don't remember seeing it confirmed.

Since this will be the first paid-DLc, it will update once the PS store updates which is every week at Tuesday in US & Wednesday in Europe.

By the time the PS store updated it was still April, i would expect the content to come in 1-3 weeks, realising the update in the same week as Watch Dogs just wouldn't be too smart in my opinion.
All that was ever said about money is this:

A portion of the profits from Gran Turismo 6 will go towards supporting the Institute.

A general statement about profits from Gran Turismo 6 going to the Institute, nothing about paid DLC.

Wait isnt this week a Japanese holiday called Golden week or something? I heard about it cause my manga was postponed this week. It could be a possibility that PD took this week off. Just a speculation.

Yep. Would seem like a perfect time to launch major DLC. Thousands of players have pretty much a whole week off to play games.

GT6 senna content thread =/= senna video thread.

Gotta do something to stay entertained while we wait for the Senna content, at least it's Senna related.

That's what I thought, too. To me it sounds more like they got a license from the institute and its price is tied to the sales numbers of GT6.

If that makes the Senna DLC paid or free is then an entirely different question.

Which is just a really savvy and totally justified way of getting funding.

But yeah, we will watch, and pray.

There is no mention anywhere of the Senna content being a paid DLC. Before making such definite statements, do some research first so that you know exactly what you are talking about, otherwise you are just giving out false information and unnecessarily stirring things up. We clearly don't need that right now, there is enough controversy around here already. :)

The Brazilian pre-order version, which I had, states something like "with this, you'll get the Ayrton Senna DLC for free".

So, maybe it isn't free for everybody.

No such thing was officially mentioned, it was false advertising. All it was is a different cover.

With what? Did you get a code? If not you have the same as everyone else in the world.

I did. I solded that tech-demo which was trying so hard to be a game.

EDIT: Sorry, but I probably got confused. @MatheusBond is right. By the time that the game was released, we got ads saying that the "Senna version" would get us free access to Senna DLC. Bad advertising and false promises, as always. But who are surprised?

Paid DLC, like it has been mentioned hundreds of times before?
It would still require a game update at some point to implement it into the game's coding, which I believe already happened since someone had discovered 2 Senna entries in the manufacturer list in the "hidden content" thread.

Yet we'd be required to spend $9,99-14,99 in order to unlock it.

It's like that with most games, whether you download the actual content or an unlock key. There's always a patch/update for the game to implement the new content.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 was the same way. It had all the maps, weapons, etc already on the disc but wasn't "unlocked"...

I never saw this "bad ad" claiming the senna content would be free for us. Any links?

I'm betting it will be free, but if all profits go towards Senna's foundation I would not mind paying a few bucks.

Why does PD like keeping everything one big secret? Apple does the same thing and it's really annoying. Why not be like EA who talks all about their DLC that is coming out long before it's released instead of hiding it until a few days before or the day of release?

Because they know we know they have nothing special to show us.

Face the truth...they will not release a massive Senna content, they will not update the sounds, they will not give us new cars, shuffle races, matchmaking, livery editor, more tuning options and body parts, track creator...

I just give up.

Next stop: GT7 on PS4 in a few years.

(too harsh?)

This. How much better would these waits be if like twice a month PD came out and gave us a little update on what's going on. The don't even need to give us release dates or anything. Just some insight as to how things are coming along.

I genuinely have no clue why they aren't more vocal. It's seems like an easy way to quell some of the negativity within the fanbase.

RIP Legend!

PS: Guys at this point...Do you really think that by adding a couple of circuits and cars (hopefully related to Ayrton Senna) the game will get better or something?

The game is what it is...at this point I personally think that we got what we got...if we get more or what was "promised" or with a different word "intended"...it won't make GT6 any better.
Sounds will stay the same (for me something that needs to change), career mode won't change, car list will get bigger (that if they don't magically remove the rest of the cars from the Vision GT project in a future update...), online will work the same...etc.

If something new appears today...I'll sure check it out...but I know that it won't make me play the game for more than a couple of days.

GT7? Heh, that cash in will be a big joke because PD refuses to listen.

Anyway. RIP Ayrton Senna. 👍
