From the sounds of it, we're getting the Lotus, and some other random stuff.

Way to keep that horrible track record going PD.

Maybe PD were late with all the updates because they focused on Senna's content?

They haven't been able to release anything for months because of one car... one that was hinted at in the opening video the day we loaded up the game?

I mean, it's possible... but oh dear, I hope not. And, as always; if they've experienced that much of a setback, it'd be much wiser to announce that, than to announce yet more things to not actually deliver.

Think about it for a second, Senna's content cannot miss the deadline, it has to be in May.

Oh, I agree, it'd be a massive egg-on-face moment, so here's hoping it doesn't miss the May window, for PD's sake. But I remember Christmas 2009 pretty well...

or just straight up fail with said delivery and neuter it to hell

*coughcough*photomode.*coughcough*

yes, I will never shut up about them ruining it until they fix it. Photomode is why I've bought GT the past 2 times.

Seriously. Let's keep things on topic. I don't want this thread to devolve into PD-bashing again because if it does, then chances are the mods will lock it. If you want to hate on PD, go complain on the Epic Whining/Crying thread because that's the place for it.

isn't the last part of the last news movie (which looks like a Gran Turismo animation render shot at 19:50-20:05), Interlagos?

Fingers crossed for a Senna AI-pack :D
This is exactly what I'm asking for with my offline racing series. I don't want that pushed off to the online crowd because I couldn't hope to be competitive with all these bleeding edge Senna Jrs out there.

I know I'm hoping for the world, but I'm hoping for Interlagos, Imola (San Marino GP), Estoril (Portugal GP), Hockenheimring, and Detroit Grand Prix. Mostly because those courses was where Senna completely DESTROYED the competition! =D
I want Imola soon myself. I know that it's connected with Senna's unfortunate crash, but it's hard for me to think of many tracks which haven't claimed some racer's life, or nearly did.

If we get Imola, it'll probably be the newest layout. It's much better than the old one IMO, they removed that dreadful last chicane. I'm hoping for the old, long Hockenheim as well.

The special "Ayrton Senna Tribute" website will allow fans to follow the life of Senna through videos and a two-part slide show
Really looking forward to the slide show. Gonna invite some friends over, put on our bell bottoms, clogs and throw on some disco. Fits right in with the last time anyone saw a slide show. :D

Yea, I think I was in like 8th grade the last time I saw a slide show....also wearing bell bottoms. "Saturday Night Fever" was all the rage.:lol::lol:

You mean all of PD have been working on one Lotus?
And why does it have to be May? They've already sailed past May 1st, which would have had a meaning. "Latter half of May" is just one more vague, arbitrary deadline which they're pretty good at missing.

Now, we wait. It's official, PD is going to deliver this time... 👍

Wow... the end of the world must be really close, right?

Just kidding, it's glad to see that PD & Sony/Playstation are into this stuff...

250 cars over 7 years is not a lot in my opinion, especially when they copy and paste a heap of cars.
Sorry, I forgot to mention the physics remodelling :/
And I thought the graphics would have been incorporated with lighting improvements etc.

Having said that, don't think that I'm disappointed with the cars, physics and graphics of the game, I think they are superb. It's the terrible AI system that has barely been updated and the lack of thinking outside the box that frustrates me. We've come up with tonnes of ideas on GTP, of which none have been implemented.

You're right - 250 cars isn't a lot, in fact, it's insufficient for 7 years of development time. But we had around 200-250-ish premiums in GT5, plus ~15-25 DLC cars. Then GT6 updated some standards to Premium, and added ~125-ish cars, and there were a few freebies early on. So there's actually more like 400-ish total new (rather, premium) cars floating around in the GT universe right now.

Look at Forza 5, and in fact most other upcoming racing games for the next gen - I believe FM5 has only got 200 or so cars, some of which may have been carried over from AutoVista in FM4. PD has claimed (and this time actually proved) that their assets are being "future proofed" with adaptive tessellation and what not, so most new stuff in GT6 is actually next-gen ready. And they've been SUPER anal about their level of detail, which was already made apparent at the first peeks at GT5… so all this considered, *400-450 cars is quite good, one of the few things PD is doing quite well on.

I think GT7 will be able to have a reasonably decent car and track roster. We just need PD to do well on… Well, basically everything else existing or to-be existing in the game; bugs, AI calculation, career progression and design, sound, schedule-making, promise-keeping, communication, and most importantly, making a game that is exciting from the get-go, with enough content and features to keep you interested for a good many years, just as it was in the PS1/2 era.

BS, google what you said mate !!!!

I was talking about the use of Forza exemple , you can't compare ( in FM5 cars are fully detailed, I mean there is something under the hood and wheels are link to the car if he want to compare GT and moreover the engines are not vacuum cleaners )

He was just saying that the premium cars in GT6 have been future proofed so that they don't need to be remodeled to be put into GT7. They'll see improvements of course but they don't need to redo the entire model.

They have to remodeled prenium cars from gt6 to gt7. They are not good enought for the next gen if you compare to competitors as FM5, Pcars and others. That is what Turn 10 did between FM4 and FM5.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/941103-gran-turismo-5/57125251- 221 premium cars in GT5.

https://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-spec-2...i/List_of_Gran_Turismo_5_Downloadable_Content
- 12 cars added for free in Spec II- Racing Car pack alone has 15 cars, I know pack 3 has 6, that's 21 already, you can count the rest.

http://www.videogamer.com/xboxone/forza_motorsport_5/news/forza_motorsport_5_complete_car_roster_revealed.html- 202 on-disk launch cars.
- ~60 future DLC cars to be added (A lot of which was re-used FM4 content).

http://www.igcd.net/game.php?PHPSES...D=47ab048a5c22429fd4b0da6fa658f071&width=1280
- Pcars has an attractive list, but it doesn't appear to even breach 100…

http://www.igcd.net/game.php?PHPSES...d=1000010024&PHPSESSID=c18ff1&width=1600&l=en
- Even less cars in DriveClub.

-Adaptive tessellation is the the direct evidence of the use of high-poly and hi-res textures for future-proofing, read these threads:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...t/forum/threads/tessellation-car-list.307532/

- I don't know the exact standard-premium upgrade car count, but it isn't very high, probably around 10. Thing is, PD could update more over time, just as they have now.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-05-gran-turismo-6-a-list-of-all-1197-cars
- 124 new cars at launch in GT6, a few added in updates.

All data combined and summarized:

- No next-gen console title (PS4/Xbox One) has much more than 200 cars at launch

- 221 from GT5+31 GT5 DLC+12 Free cars in Spec II+~10 Updated standards+124 New cars in GT6+~7 Cars added in GT6 updates=405 premium cars, not including future GT6 content.

Google you said, google I did.

They don't though. The model quality isn't the only thing that determines how good the cars look. If you look at the models even as they sit in GT6 the polygon count isn't an issue.

I'd say leave him, because this is just them dragging it off topic again. Do agree with you though.

Ok I understand, I didn't know that ;) !
And @hsv010 I have a name but you are right this is off topic.
