I just bought it in the used car shop! (old timers, but it states its from 2000).

10,500rpm! Jummie.

Damn it. No kanji for Street Fighter...

Umm. Who the hell do you think you are to post under my name?

I won't stand for that.

For the record, the Shigeno AE86 is a race car.

It has an motor tuned by Toyota specifically for racing, and with a high compression exhaust, twin plate clutch and a racing/semi-racing flywheel, you could probably have it revving up to 11,000.

Also, the WRX that Bunta drives is the white Version VI (6) WRX Type-R.

Probably one of the most potentially fast production cars.

Evo 9 is on sale in Japan though.

That thing ran early early 8'11 on the 'Ring. :scared:

Put that in your pipe & smoke it.

Either way, the Spoon Civic-R is better.

217ps @12,000rpm
820kg

It could use more torque though.

BAM! Triple post.

hmmm....in the anime bunta's wrx is blue
unless he gets it painted....where'd you get white from?

Man I have to admit that car was sick in GT3. Mod it out and go to arcade mode and you will be faced with the R390, 787B, Toyota GTOne etc. This says a lot about the potential of the car. I came very close to winning against those cars several times. 2nd place is the best I could do. Pick a course with a lot of curves. Top speed is limited as it's all about cornering speed. Any long straits and you're toast. Horrible acceleration from a stand still too... Good car though... Fun to play with....

Hmm...the SS Trueno is ok. I do love that odd/cool new exhaust note, and it doesn't hurt that it attacks corners pretty well. Is $39,000 too much of an inflated price for such a vehicle, especially one with 21,000 miles?

i was wonderin if anyone knows if the shigeno trueno is going to be in GT4. ive seen the regular truenos but i not sure about the SS version. if you do know can you show a picture or proof. i dont know what ill do without that car.

Hell year itz in GT4! I have 1 in my garage!Mines lightly tuned, makes 243BHP and only weighs..............825KG! Really nice 2 drive, and with a locked diff (1 Way LSD) driftz hard!

i'm sure you know by now but just incase it can be bought in the Used car 1 or 2 section. Not as good at drifting as regular model found in Historic car.

first of all the sprinter trueno/corolla levin (aka AE86) are harder to come by now a days. average private owned price of these cars are also 4 times higher then the U.S. bluebook prices "even with high mileage" and the price keeps going higher every several months or so. not to also mention that there is a growing AE86 cult or fans in japan as is the U.S. and other countries! which makes it a classic...! (reason why the AE86 has been in all GT games)

now to add a (very high priced) Group A 20v 4AGE formula atlantic racing engine into a AE86 brings the price of the (inital d based) "S.S. version" also makes the price on GT4 pretty high for an old car. Cr. 26,000 to Cr. 39,000 it actually should be worth more but it has some miles on it.

hopefully this answers your question...

not to bag on you but as a drifter, its known that the 1 way LSD are originally designed for front wheel drive, although they do make it for rear-wheel drive also named viscous LSD which feels like a worn out 1.5 or 2 way LSD during drifting. 1.5 way is more of a common LSD that average drifters use on the track. for more advanced drifters use 2 way LSD's. the stock LSD on a AE86 is even better then the 1 way but over all this is just a game and might differ from the real thing.

I agree SS AE86 is a good and fun to drive car, but the transmission is really killing the whole car

it has upgrade Racing Clutch, Light Flywheel and Fully Customize Transmission to solve the problem

since everytime you shift the rpm drops way too much, have to use a closer ratio
and change a racing clutch can decrease shifting time

i used SS 86 for those narrow tracks (forgot the name) in the rally races, racing with Impreza and Evolution, very fun.....
