You mean the one in your signature?
Is that the one with the Formula atlantics (I think) engine? Yeah, that would be pretty cool.

hmm.. not sure if it is Formula Atlantic engine but I have a picture of it's specs. ;)

Techno Pro Spirit Levin was featured in Super Street awhile back. Here's the link http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredvehicles/61558/

Sweet car. If you watched the Gran Turismo 4 Making of Video - you not only got to see that sweet car in action, you could hear the awesome sounds it made.

A little off-topic but Techno Pro Spirit also made that sweet MR-S with wide-body kit and 2zz engine (from Celica GT-S) that can be seen in several Best Motoring Videos. (the naturally aspirated vs turbo race and the touge 2wd vs 4wd race) Hope the MR-S is in GT4 but I don't want to get my hopes up. :)

I should start this by saying hi, since this is my first post and all.

23 year old bloke from Sweden with a newly found interest in drifting in GT games...although I'm not especially good at it yet.

JrunkenC - Sweet car that Levin :D

I drive my ss with a grip style and for some odd reason, if i stomp on gas in 2nd gear i kinda start sliding and this happens only in second gear. and i had a tcs setting of 2 and its good on midfield because you can run through the grass while others have to brake.

Welcome Particle. Big :D on our faces to have you here.

Last I seen the Shigeno Trueno will be the Trueno "Tuning Car" based on GT4: Prologue pictures (or E3 pictures, perhaps?). Before you talk about "fanboy" cars, every car will appeal to at least 0.01% of the people of this world who happen to own a Playstation 2. I found out this is an older thread, so I thought the replies would be bashing on the topic and its creator. Apparentely, it's another retro thread brought back to life.

GT fans who love drifting cannot wait to take this car to the track and drift the car as much as possible and post "mad sick" photos of their Trueno. You know it's going to happen when GT4 is released, so why not let these diehards have their fun going sideways? Take a car like the AE86, kick in a little "Inital D," play the alright-sounding theme song, "Around the World" by Move... and let the sideways own-fest begin. It will be in. More than 85% in.

I'll end this post with an ending I made someone laugh with about the Trueno:

"You can OWN people in your Trueno!" -myself from a thread Luggnuts posted in the GT4 Forums about the Trueno

The SS trueno is a good car, and interesting the amount of hysteria it causes - the most outstanding thing about it is it's lightweight, and hence good power to weight ratio.

The only cars of comparable power to weight at max tuning are the Motorsport Elise and VX220 - both of which I can lap consistenly fast than in the sprinter (they are not as easy but in my opinion are the true sub-400hp weapons of GT3)
- especially a calypso red 'speedster' goes faster with that badging honest!! :P

Despite the alledged supernatural downforce I find this car no quicker than any other with a similar power to weight ratio (approx 2kg per hp). I have tested many cars and find that the game is almost always enjoyable to play with a car of this performance.

The ONLY cars with a similar power to weight ratio that I could not lap faster than the SS trueno at midfield were 4WD like S4, impreza and maybe even some EVOs.

try a zonda or XJ220 with tuning to 2kg per HP and you will find they have very find chassis for handling this amount of power!!

First of all id like to juss say hey to everyone, my first post since my joining of GTP, w0ot go noobs. and second, i apologize for i havent really ciphered through every post in here prior to this one, but i know how threads tend to get off topic as time goes heh. i think the "SS" version (named in GT3) is in GT4 but im not particularly sure. you see, i found a pic of a hachi that resembled it quite closely (carbon fiber hood, panda paint job, watanabe wheels, etc) but its called the "Tuning Car" does polyphony no longer attain the license to use SS?
heres the pic: https://www.gtplanet.net/gallery/gt4cars/e3gt523
useless info: Shuichi Shigeno was the author of the Initial D manga..hMm all thats missin is the tofu graphic and youd have GT meets Takumi.
And in response to JrunkenC, ive got the touge battles where they had the TPS MR-S piloted by Keiichi Tsuchiya vs. a Keioffice S15. if anyone wants it ill gladly send, contact by IM, sorry that i dont have a way of hosting it (Size:58mb \ No 56k'ers) also in it is an AE86 vs. R34 and iTR vs. S14

I believe the SS will appear I think I saw it somewhere, it's a fun car and I think it's a good addition to the game. If it doesn't appear then it's not the end of the world, there are plenty of other cars in the game... But I can't see much reason why most of the GT3 cars wont just appear in GT4 anyway... likewise for tracks...

The Amuse cars will prob be better. They are the best tuners in Japan right now...watch Hot Version. They had a tuner car showoff and Amuse killed everyone. That's why there are so many Amuse cars in GT4. BTW, Initial D seems like they chose cars that are in GT...like Spoon and the SS Trueno...? Or is that just me?

Hey I remember seeing a pic of a drift trueno car that was taken at one of the places that pd did testing of cars at so that means there problably will be a tuned trueno in the game

i saw it too, it was white with a body kit on it ;)

No, it's not the Formula Atlantic engine. The FA engine is based on the AE92 Hi-compression motor from the 91-92 or 93 FWD Corolla GT-S. The engine in those specs is a modified AE111 engine. It's the black top 20 valve engine (5 valves per cylinder - 3 intake/2 exhaust). It's the same motor that Tsuchiya-san has in his Dorikin TRD AE86. From that spec sheet it is running TODA 272 intake and TODA 288 exhaust cams, Freedom stand alone ECU, TRD custom 5 speed transmission with a 3 spd cross ratio gearing. It looks like that car is designed to resemble Tsuchiya's car very closely as the car has many of the same components and is rated at the same horsepower (175). What does the car look like?

yes there is the SS version trueno in GT4,,, i haven't got a pic to prove it (coz im at work) but surely its sitting in my GT4 garage,,,, i have got it from one of the 90's second hand car yard :)
