They’re babies so not really visible in the pic.

They look like this when they mature.

And last and most important, reason why we went shopping was new smartphone for mom, she has old LG Q7 that stopped correctly working.
She is very happy with Honor 400 Lite:

Got a replacement battery under warranty so I thought I'd try to change it myself so purchased this Siegen by Sealey Socket & Bit Set. Connecting the negative terminal up at the end was kind of satisfying as could hear Mégane come back alive with everything starting to power up bit by bit. It started up first time so that was a relief.

Mike'll be alright.

Isn't that today? I don't have the room to buy seventeen pairs of sneakers. My room and closets are already full of PC hardware nonsense...

I'm still sticking to my self imposed ban on Bourbon, but unfortunately my go to Aussie Whisky is out of stock now so I'm going to try some that were recommended to me from a different Aussie distillery. The liquors behind are also another Aussie recent purchase (from Last Street, not the part that was bought out by Coca-Cola). The two behind the Starward bottles are Lamington and Mint Chocolate flavoured. Of the ones I've tried so far the Tiramisu is a winner, Lamington was just okay, and the Butterscotch was not so much to my taste.

The NED distillery sent out an email saying that many Aussies had stopped buying the USA products (according to emails and Facebook messages they'd received) in favour of Aussie produced Whisky. Perhaps too many of us...

I’m not a drinker, but are these good quality bourbons people just felt were too expensive? Seems like it’s good for the Aussie economy.

They're not allowed to be called Bourbon ;), but yeah, many of them are considered too expensive when compared to what you can get from the far larger American distilleries. The plain NED is about the only Aussie one close to being on par price wise, and then only if you buy 3 bottles at a time (it drops from $59 for one bottle down to $50 per bottle).

Seems like it’s good for the Aussie economy.
I'm pretty sure Trump's policies have been a boom for every countries home grown industries/economies... bar his own country :sly:

I received another email today with some great specials so another purchase was made. 2 x Grand Reward (for sipping neat, or maybe with some rocks), 2 x Sounds of Bathurst, aged to the sound of V8 Supercars roaring around ''The Mountain'' (apparently the vibration does something... or something ), and 2 x Golden Bickie (that really does having tasting notes of an ANZAC cookie) just because it's back in stock and it's one of the favourites around here.

Got this in the mail today! :dopey: Didn't think it'd come this early, but it did! :D

Recently learned NASCAR Road Racing existed and since I've been on a NASCAR kick lately and I couldn't find much on this game, I was eager to get my hands on it.
IMG_3198.JPEG

However, that was not the only game I got with it though...

Yep, that's right, this is a double pack that came with Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit as well! And here's the inside:
IMG_3200.JPEG

I wanted NASCAR Road Racing first and foremost, but when I saw this double pack for around the same price as the game by itself, I thought it'd be cool to get it since I liked Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit on PS1 as well. I've already installed both and while NASCAR Road Racing sort of works, it crashes the moment I try to start a race and I can't seem to get past it. Unfortunately, due to the obscurity of this game, theirs not much on it and other people seem to have problems with it, but no solution. As for Need for Speed III, the installer straight up doesn't work and I read this is due to it being 16bit. Thankfully the NFS modding community is dedicated to fixing these types of issues and I was able to get mine running.

Although I am disappointed I can't get a good scan of NASCAR Road Racing's due to it being torn and the game doesn't work like I had hoped, I am optimistic I might be able to get it running someday. I am glad I was able to get Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit running at least, so that's a good thing! :)

I've been away from here for the last few months, but I thought I should stop by and rub this in you guy's faces

I was lucky enough to find this obscure gem... on a 2nd-hand games shop right here in my hometown.
Contains the bonus "Making Of" DVD and the game itself, as well as the manual.
All of this for the insane price of just 10 euros.

But that's not the end of it, a few weeks later on the same shop this popped up:

Another nice addition to my collection, and if I'm not mistaken, according to some of the comments I've seen around here this is presumably the most "complete" version of GT Concept, the one with the most cars included.
Also 10 euros for this...

So 20 euros for both games is what I would consider a very good "score", given the overall rarity of coming across these titles nowadays, and as you can see from the pictures both games really are in pretty good condition for their age, looks like the previous owners took very good care of them.

Still haven't played neither of them, but I'm looking forward to it!

For anyone in the UK, you can get both the above for £8.50 at CEX. Both in stock, that's less than 10 euros for the pair

Ok... errr I didn't know that.
Thanks for ruining my vibe here

Anyway I do not live in the UK so my deal is still a pretty good one, I think!

The guy at the shop's counter where I bought those games at didn't even knew they existed in the first place...

If it helps, regarding Tokyo-Geneva in particular, 10 Euros for the PAL Version is a major steal compared to the significantly rarer NTSC-J release. After shipping and taxes, I spent roughly $130 for mine! :scared:

In any case, Tokyo-Geneva is a pretty neato in-between game. One thing to keep in mind is that the physics are very different compared to GT3 & 4. It's definitely on the more arcade side of things for a GT game.

It's been a decade since I've owned a bike and decided to switch it up and got a cruiser.

2009 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic with 10k miles (it has a dual speed unit cluster but the odometer is in miles, so thats about 16k km) that I got for $2200 CAD. Not bad all things considered.

It's air-cooled and has carbs. No fuss, purely mechanical.

Having forward controls is...... weird, to say the least. Comfy but weird.

Went on eBay and immediately bought the factory risers because it currently has a 4 or 5 inch pull up and back style set of risers installed that makes it really awkward for me.

Also the factory leather bags from that era, according to the previous owner, collapsed so they tossed them. I went ahead and bought a set of Viking Bags as well as a pack to carry with me when travelling. I went with the buckle style designs as the plain leather wrapped ones had some ugly reflectors on them, or they just didn't fit the curves, or the overall look of the bike.

Initially, I thought about buying them in a gloss black and repainting them to match the two-tone gray with the pin stripes, but figured leather is the next best thing that will just bolt on and match, and won't fall into the ever-growing backlog of things I have to complete but have no time for.

Bought oil filters as well as the oil to do this weekend that way I have my own baseline. I'll flush the other fluids if needed.

Previous owner had an extra Haynes manual lying around so I got that with the bike for free so that was a plus.

Fiio FT1

iFI Go Link Max

IMG_1113.jpeg

So far quite impressed by both. I was worried even using the 4.4mm Balanced output there wouldn’t be enough juice to drive the FT1 but surprisingly it copes ok.

The Sony XM4s I was using have started to wig out with noise cancelling not working as it should so I thought it was time to have a small change and go back to wired but in a small package. Hence the iFI DAC.

Next up possible Carpa band alternate earpads, but for the time being I’m just going to run them in as such.

Good Lord... 130$, now that's commitment right there! My respect to you for going that far to get that game.

But why did they choose to not release GT Concept in the USA? I could never understand this... it just baffles me, I mean is the European market that much important to PD (or is the American market not attractive enough for them) to make them ignore the american customers or was it something else?

We might never know...
