Tried this whisky at a friend‘s house and liked it so much that I had to get a bottle for myself. It‘s a really nice blend (of Balvenie and Glenfiddich among others) and also really cheap at around 30 Euros. Totally took me by surprise!
That ain’t a bad dram. If you really want a good Scotch, have a crack an adult single. That’ll really light up your taste buds.

For sure, I actually have a 15 yo Glenfarclas at home that I haven't opened yet. Definitely one of my favorites!

One of my colleagues has a 21 Glenfiddich that he sips nightly, special import from China. He’s invited me for a drink, but I’ll destroy his supply given the chance. I am tempted though.

Mate, you need to take that opportunity! But I totally understand it, I can't even imagine how good that stuff must taste.

Chances are you probably don’t get it overseas, and if you did, the duties would probably be stiff, but my favorite sub-$50 bottle of whiskey is High West. It drinks like a $100 bottle!

Is it this one? It‘s actually in stock at the place I order my other whiskies from.

Been trying to acquire all of my favorite NFS games on PC lately, and this time, it's Underground! Played it some on the PS2 back in 2006, and later went back to it in 2023 and 2024 to finish the career. I had fun with it, of course, and I always enjoyed playing this game, and it was only natural that I would eventually get it again on PC. Especially since it has some neat mods.

Had some difficulty getting it to install because apparently it had something on the disc that took a while to get off, but I got it, and it's now installed on my PC. Glad to finally get a copy for a decent price, now all that's left is to get Underground 2.

Impulse purchase of the week. Formula Legends for the PS5. Hadn't really paid any attention to this at all, until it released and I watched a couple of videos on it. For the price point it seems like good value. Even if it might be a little bit bare bones currently.

Also picked up Art of Rally for the OG Switch. This is one I have been wanting to try for a long while, and I didn't have any racing games on the Switch so its a nice addition either way.

I've been looking for this version for quite some time... they're getting rarer but I was lucky enough to grab this one as soon as it appeared at the shop I usually go to.

The price? 40 euros... yeah, it's a little steep, but this isn't your ordinary Most Wanted either.
Judging by the back of the cover, this one must have came from France (oh really?!), everything seems to be in pretty good shape, so here's another nice addition to my collection! :dopey:

What I really wanted to have was the Collector's Edition of Carbon, though. Who knows, when I least expected this MW Black Edition came up so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that one, but they're quite rare as well.

Not new, had it a few months now but it's definitely a step up from my previous home made 2 part contraption that I made out of a Black & Decker workbench.
I've also done the folding mod trick that Karl Gosling showed on his YouTube channel so I can quickly fold it away & stand it up in the cupboard, at least it's an all in one setup, weighs a ton with all the equipment attached though.

2 pliers that are pretty hard to damage in shipping, better package them nicely in a big box!

Collectors edition steelbook? Just put it in an envelope and literally throw it into the van.

Amazon packaging will forever confuse the hell out of me.

Greenworks 80V 12" Cordless Battery Snow Shovel w/ 2.0 Ah Battery & Charger

I've been thinking about picking up one of these for over a year but could never justify the $350 price tag.

BUT! Greenworks currently has it on sale for $262.49.

HOWEVER! Woot had some available yesterday (sold out quickly so I'm glad I grabbed it when I did) for $90, which is less than the $160 battery alone.

Since I can't stop buying things lately...

My router is out of support and is starting to show its age so it was time for an upgrade. Grabbed this one "used, like new" for $73.47 less than new.

And a shirt for my wife. :p

This is going to sound very weird. Since I was a child I was always fascinated with interstate signs. I just loved the look, the shape, the colors, etc. When we would go on a trip I passed the time by looking at the Rand McNally road atlas. This was the 60's and 70's before GPS and satellite nagivation, we had Rand McNally. But I was always looking at the routes of interstates, the individual cities maps to see what new loops or spurs were being built. I remember when we would come over to Huntsville to see my mom's family we would cross I-65 and I liked seeing those signs. I always wanted one on my wall. Now I've got one on my refrigerator.

Several years ago I googled "interstate sign refrigerator magnets" and nothing came up. A few weeks ago I got the idea again, this time something came up. A company called carstickers.com makes interstate sign refrigerator magnets. You can pick the size you want and they will make it. I went with our local interstate that's a couple of miles away from me. I thought about getting several smaller ones of interstates that I like and might do that later.

There's even a YouTube channel devoted to idiots like me that covers interstate highways and other road designs.
