So he paid all that money and still has to wait...where the waiting time is tiny in comparison to the time behind the wheel.

not worth it! cheaper way would be to FULLY install the games components onto your HDD.. not just the initial install at the beginning of the game but if you go into the options menu there is an additional install feature there... i havent used it yet myself as im quite happy with the loading times.

Definitely worth getting an SSD for your PC (vastly improved boot times and apps launch in a flash - pardon the pun!).

Don't think it will be worth it for the PS3 though, until larger, cheaper SSDs come out - my £60 500gb PS3 drive that stores all my movies is a lot more useful than improved load times, in my opinion :)

The load times were way worse on PS2 and PS1, also they are way worse on other games (Red Dead Redemption). Although they do suck, thats a lot of money for an arguably minor improvement.

Ive noticed this additional install feature as well. Do we know if this is any different than when installing when inserting the disc for the first time?.

The loading times do kinda bug me sometimes seeing as playing time is limited for me due to work and family stuff.

Spending hundrets of Euros to save loading time is just stupid, in my opinion.

Some guys have really no sense for price / performance ratio.

Loading time in games is something, I never care about.
