This has been going on for longer than Lewis has been at McLaren, 3-4 years in the making, at least.

Where it comes to Silverstone and Redevelopment Plans, we pretty much have to take a "wait and see" approach.

Does the UK have any other good tracks? I don't like Silverstone, but F1 wouldn't be F1 without a "Grand Prix" in England.

This is very significant for me becuase of my location in realtionship to it.

I am going to see alot of silverstone events from now on so lets hope this face lift is better than the BMW 7 series'

I think its the best track in the UK.
The other tracks are good but most not fit to host F1.
Brands hatch comes to mind but i dont think it would make a good GP.
Donnington has hosted before but same problem as Brands.

Let's get the Birmingham Superprix as an F1 race. Hahaha

In terms of tracks (including all the facilities) Silverstone is the only one fit enough to host a GP. Brands Hatch did a few times and it's a good circuit but the facilities wouldn't meet current standards. As a circuit I've always liked Croft.

The UK has lots of 'good' tracks, but Silverstone is practically the only one that is capable of hosting a Grand Prix. Brands Hatch might be able to, and Donington hosted the European GP in '93, but I can't think of any other circuits that could conceivably host a GP. Most circuits here are either too short or too unsafe to meet F1 standards.

I would pay undecent amounts of money to see that. As a bonus have a BTCC round or two on the same weekend, and bring back the Sierra RS500's. Then have Murray Walker commentate on the whole thing.

That would be entertainment.
